Localisation on game titles sometimes appear wrong (bugs) Twitch uses data from IGDB, but there are some errors where this data isn't applied properly. IGDB uses the North American (NA) title by default, and has the European title as the alternative, even in situations where the European title is the original or matching the original better.
The schedule on twitch.tv uses the NA title regardless of locale selected. Both the small item of the schedule, as well as when you click on it to expand it. But the cover used is localised.
The video producer on dashboard.twitch.tv use the NA title regardless of locale, when you edit a…

Translation error, Swedish, "slutmål" When editing a goal, the option "End Goal" has mistakenly been translated as a single noun "Slutmål" (such as: what's the 'end goal'?) instead of the intended verb "Avsluta mål".

Localisation issues on the analytics screen I'm using Twitch in Swedish, primarily for the Swedish formats since English (Sweden) isn't an option.
But there are some improper formats on the analytic screen, and this issue is likely happening to several other languages, and is likely due to hardcoded functions. By resolving these issues, these are not only resolved for Swedish, but also for several other languages.
https://dashboard.twitch.tv/u/USERNAME/analyticsWhen you press on the date-banner at the top to change the date, the date-pickers are displaying with Sunday first, which is quite confusing to look at since Sweden is always Monday first. This calendar should reflect the locale…

Sub gifter badge (german) The german localization titles the sub gifter badge as "Person, die das Abonnement verschenkt" which equates to "person who gifts the sub" in english. This sounds very unnatural. Closer to the english "sub gifter" would be something along the lines of "Abo-Verschenker". Another more natural alternative would also be "Person, die ein Abo verschenkt hat" which translates to "person who has gifted a sub".

Change Spanish translation of phrase The Spanish translation for "While X is offline", at the main page, says "Mientras X está desconectado". This last word is masculine, making the phrase inaccurate for non-masculine streamers.
I think, in order to be more inclusive, the correct phrase should be something like "Mientras X no tiene conexión" or "Mientras X no está en directo", avoiding words that depend on the streamer's gender identity.
I didn't see this kind of mistake anywhere else, but I think this should be revised in general.2 votes -
Error in Finnish translation for subscribing logger The green pill that says "SAVE" in the "Save by subscribing for logger" dialog.
In Finnish version this is mistranslated as "TALLENNA" (as in "save file"). It should be "SÄÄSTÄ" (as in "save money")2 votes -
Tradução incorreta na página de exibição do Canal, na área que exibe a transmissão mais recente A tradução da área que mostra a última transmissão realizada, na página do canal, está incorreta.
Exemplo: https://imgur.com/a/qkqtkE0
O "de" impede a presença do "há" no texto.
Sugestões de correção:
- "Confira essa transmissão de [categoria] de 4 dias atrás"; ou
- "Confira essa transmissão de [categoria], realizada há 4 dias"

opposite meaning in vod publishing dialog When publishing a vod by hand in the stream manager tab a popup says "Dadurch wird es für die Öffentlichkeit unzugänglich", which means the exakt opposite of publishing something. If something is "unzugänglich" noone has access to it.
Seems to be a translation error.

persian Why has Twitch Dev Removed "Persian" or "Farsi" from the language choices. How can we have that back? Feels slightly discriminatory.

Suggestion for Hungarian Wording • Wherever the word ‘Spórolj’ appears in the settings in Hungarian, it should be ‘Mentés’, because ‘Mentés’ is the right word for saving something which has been change — like a setting. (‘Spórolj’ means saving money.)
• The word/expression ‘Legjobb pillanatok’ stands for best moments, but this button is for creating a highlight. Therefore the right word in Hungarian is ‘Kiemelés’. (The word ‘Kiemelés’ has already been in use on the Twitch platform for many years before.)

translation I found a translation error in the creator dash.
When I edit my social media links the button for 'save' is translated to 'besparen' which means 'to save money' in Dutch. The correct translation here would be "Opslaan"2 votes -
Two translations in Dutch are confusing The common tag 'no backseating' is translated as 'mondje dicht', which means little mouth closed, I have absolutely no clue what the person who made this translation was thinking, probably creative use of Google Translate. There is no Dutch equivalent for 'backseating' so it is used together with the Dutch word for no, which is 'geen': geen backseaten.
The other one is that the category 'just chatting' is translated as 'gewoon chatten', even though Dutch people like me use 'chatten' to only mean typing in a chat. The word for chatting as in talking out loud in Dutch is praten.…

Subscription Anniversary Swedish translation errors When someone shares their subscription in chat, this is the message in Swedish:
"(username) prenumenerade av Nivå 1De har prenumenerat i 20 månader, just nu har de 17 i rad!"
Firstly, it should be "prenumererade" and "prenumererat" ("r" instead of "n").
Secondly, "på Nivå 1" instead of "av" and there should be a full stop and space after.
Fixed: "(username) prenumererade på Nivå 1. De har prenumererat i 20 månader, just nu har de 17 i rad!"
This is just some examples, there are some more errors when gifting subscriptions.

fix the language selection on Community Guidelines page I'm in Guatemala right now and when I try to view the Community Guidelines page, it puts it automatically in Spanish. I click Idiomas at the top and choose English, it loads the page, but then immediately switches back to the Spanish version! The only way I can read the English page is in an incognito window.
I'm on Windows 10, Chrome.2 votes -

Russian translation error on the app creation page When adding a new app at https://dev.twitch.tv/console/apps/create, the first field in Russian reads "Владелец", which translates to "Owner". In reality, this field is intended for the application name, and it reads just "Name" in English.
The correct translation would be "Название" ("Name"), or "Название приложения" ("Application name").
P.S. It's also impossible to change your language while on the dev.twitch.tv subdomain, and you have to navigate to the main site in order to change language.

Español Latinoamerica sugerencia He notado que en la descripcion del video donde pone la fecha del stream guardado, cuando es de hace dos dias pone: "antier". Entiendo que en mexico y algunas zonas esto significa"anteayer o antes de ayer. Mi sugerencia es que sea cambiado ya que en la mayoria de latinoamerica no decimos esa palabra que es de una zona especifica. y que sea Anteayer o antes de ayer.

Badly translated into Swedish The current translation is intending bad in Swedish.
“Om oss” (About) literally means “About us”. Much better to have a neutral term like “Info”, “Information” or “Om kanalen” (about the channel).
Similarly “Planera” (Schedule) is the verb to schedule something or to plan. Whoever translated this had no context for where it would be used. It should be “Tablå” which is the term Swedish TV and radio uses when discussing their broad at times.
