I've been a streamer on Twitch for 7 years, and planned to continue streaming for many more in the future, because I enjoy streaming on this platform, despite the lack of understanding of what people really need for Twitch. This is definitely YET ANOTHER one of those moments.

If any of those motions to pass Generative AI training on user content goes on live without a way to completely disable ANY and ALL of them, I will stop streaming on Twitch until they are either gone, or the website just goes under. I have fled Twitter because of this exact issue, and I am not afraid of doing so for Twitch as well.

Anyone who thought this was a good idea needs a thorough review of their actual place in the company, and does not deserve a place in any creator spaces, period.

This **** will actually kill Twitch in ways that the adpocalypse would look like a tiny little whoopsie doodle. Do NOT go through with it.

Gen AI is a blight on the creative world, and will only invite grifters who do not want to actually engage with the platform and the community, while driving away most of the actual streamers and their fans.
Letting people actually choose how much they interact with AI is the bare ******* minimum.

Twitch THRIVES through human randomness, ai can’t even get text right still, what makes you think people want their streams to be sloppy garbled chats with incoherent content with no real buttons being pushed or real time conversations happening to make REAL PEOPLE FEEL REAL EMOTIONS.

To even think we want to churn our content, our chats, our EMOTIONS into a slop fest is not only a spit to how Twitch started, but also how video content creation started.

Years and decades of work by humans, the technology you wanna use to phase humans out of creative mediums is just to make shareholders happy.

If you do slopify, then it’s to YouTube, because most creators here would be doxxed and swatted in the hour on kick, everything else is dead, and the only reason twitch is still alive is because all the alternatives suck *** or have awful discovery.

This shouldn’t have even BEEN a developed concept. Don’t make us feed your slopbucket.

If AI features are mandated or forced opt-in for creators, I will cancel all on-site subscriptions, block advertisement, and move to strictly funding creators I like through methods entirely divorced from the Twitch ecosystem.

The pro-AI dorks don't care if something doesn't have AI or not, they'll still use it. But the anti-AI crowd will boycott your sh*t if you add it and you will most definitely LOSE money.

If you can't even be bothered to care enough about your product or service to hire real people to make and maintain it, then it shows you just do not care about your clients or customer base AT ALL. It's disrespectful, lazy, slop.

If I am forced to let AI train off my streams I will not only be cancelling all financial support of Twitch but will also actively look to stream on other sites instead. Either cancel all AI plans or at minimum make an opt out. Preferrably opted out by default with the option to opt in if you MUST implement this unwanted update.

I agree to everyone as a small twitch streamer we need the option to opt out from anything AI associated and we 100% DO NOT want our data and content stolen and used against us at all.

If you truly care about creators and if you really believe that ai will be "beneficial for us" you'll make all ai features optional and opt out by default. Anything other than is just an admittance of twitch's intention to scrape and farm creators content for ai training without compensation or consent.

Please reconsider ai implementation entirely, but at the very least, consider creators first with our voices in this thread.

You've seen what happens when a video game even mentions the use of generative AI in their production - its a death nale for sales of said game. The same will happen to Twitch if allowed. Allowing this to happen is THEFT in every sense of the word. This is a class action lawsuit waiting to happen against Twitch AND Amazon if they move forward with this. No one wants AI anything. We've seen recently an AI program go rogue and HACK into other sources to seek answers because it didn't have them. What's preventing data leaks and personal information of Twitch users being exposed if Twitch adds AI features we as users can't opt-out of? AI is a cancer to creativity, the actual environment and the mental health of individuals.

Was thinking of buying a few subs as part of some event these days. Reading about this update made my decision to spend my money elsewhere really easy though. I'm also going to trash my plans on picking up streaming on Twitch again. Stop this AI bs!

Generative AI hasn't been profitable for any company and I REFUSE to have it near nor touch my streams. Opting-Out should be automatically assigned, opened for creators, and optional, much like the rest of any relating GenAI features. It is in poor taste and offensive to every creator on this platform. You want to train AI? Do it yourselves. Do not, and I do mean never, put us creators on the frontlines of your ignorance. We do not need GenAI in our spaces.

please please PLEASE don't do this twitch. 99% of creators are against it - we don't want our content stolen and used for whatever! we work so hard and earn the platform money...why would you want to chase everyone away?

I DO NOT WANT GENERATIVE AI TO TOUCH MY CONTENT. As a voice actor and character that I have made, I do NOT consent to generative AI theft. I value my identity, personality, and voice. They are mine, and I do not approve of robots taking my art and turning it into garbage.

I can't wait for the AI bubble to finally pop. I will celebrate harder than I ever have, and maybe ever will.
