Make all AI features optional, and opt-out by default.
For any features on Twitch which use AI, allow all creators to opt in or opt out of them individually, and set the default to Opt Out for all new AI features. We as creators should have the choice whether to use AI or not on our channels. If we do not want to use it at all, it's important for us to be able to have that choice, AND for us not to be opted in by default.

no ai feature should exist at all, if we must swallow their evil then opt-out by default is the only way to do it.

My last comment was on May 31, 2026. I am commenting again urging Twitch to heavily reconsider proceeding with these genAI features. It harms the environment and steals from hardworking creatives. I truly cannot wait for the AI bubble to burst, because I'm tired of having to worry about AI training everywhere

This is such a tone deaf thing considering how much fuss has already been raised by so many people across the internet. The kind of people that would want to use this are not the people that stream on Twitch, and the people that stream don't want anything to do with Gen-AI ever. Twitch is already doing plenty of things to hurt themselves and their streamers, but this would outright kill the platform. Out-in for those few that would, or just don't add the feature at all.

This should go without saying. It is becoming more obvious by the day that creators do not want their work being used to train AI bots. If someone wants to do it, fine, let them opt in. But do NOT try and force people into it by default; that's only going to serve to drive people away from your platform.

Do not implement any AI scrapping at all! Opt out is great, but having AI scrapping will be the end of twitch
1. Collabs will not happen as theres no way to know for sure the other person is not using AI
2. Mass exodus of REAL artists. You thought making the art tag AI was bad?!3. Mass Exodus of REAL musicians. You may not lose the DJs but guaranteed you will see real creators leaving AND copyright strikes/lawsuits up the wazoo.
4.As Twitch, the company, is the one scrapping to "train" it, this means the lawsuits will go DIRECTLY to Twitch as well as you can no longer play "We are not responsible for what others stream" since you know..YOU'RE STEALING!
5. Just.. a Mass Exodus of other people as well, Vtubers/pngtubers, People who care about enviromental impacts and real human beings, and litterally just all good people.
All that will remain on twitch are the scum of the streaming world, a.k.a. Kick

Why would I want a cheap knockoff of a streamer I already watch? Better question, why would I want to PAY YOU for a cheap insult to life that you were too cheap to pay for yourself? It's bad enough you barely pay your streamers any sliver of revenue as is, but to ask them for MORE help for less money? I could scuff your new shoes and still not be as disrespectful as that

"after some internal friction"?
can't wait for them to see the EXternal friction, nobody wants this **** clogging up the platform, they have enough to deal with given all the bots -

I've got a better idea: No AI on Twitch at all. Not for training, not for streaming, not for anything. AI is trash and there is no upside worth the huge amounts of downsides: Everything from environmental impact to intellectual property theft to plagiarism and even using AI to further the horrible police state in America.
AI must be stopped COMPLETELY, not bargained with, not opt out.

Two separate issues: Firstly, a twitch streamer's online likeness, appearance, cadences of speaking, everything about them is their brand. It is how they make their living. Laying claim to that is unadulterated theft, regardless of whatever verbiage you put into you platform contract language. Secondly, I don't know how out of touch the high and mighty at Twitch are, but AI has increasingly been showing its flaws. It is terrible at creating its stolen art, it is incredibly flawed at parsing language. The companies that host AI have been increasingly losing money and coming under fire for the damage to the surroundings and consumption of resources that data centers are responsible for creating. In a majority of the industries that have adopted AI integration and layed off workers, there has been re-hiring to fix the errors that AI causes. It is not sustainable in any way. Twitch racing to integrate AI merely shows the magnitude of the lack of understanding that is being exhibited here. I have tried to be logical and rational in this response, but I cannot conceal the depth of disdain I have for those responsible for this decision.

The fact these AI features are considered and are possibly going to be announced is so depressing, and only invites people that have never once cared about the streaming world, while knowing that people would boycott
if this happens (especially while forcing an opt in), twitch will crash and burn 100x quicker than mixer did, and probably redirect most people to another streaming site

Please leave AI out of it.
Creators don't want their content ripped for training data and nobody wants to see AI slop everywhere.
It got so bad on Youtube already, don't make the same mistakes, please. -

i was *just* thinking about giving twitch streaming a go. if it's true that Twitch plans to use my streams to train AI, even if it's something that can be turned off (which, really, it should be OFF by default), i will do something else that's worth spending my time on
