Make all AI features optional, and opt-out by default.

For any features on Twitch which use AI, allow all creators to opt in or opt out of them individually, and set the default to Opt Out for all new AI features. We as creators should have the choice whether to use AI or not on our channels. If we do not want to use it at all, it's important for us to be able to have that choice, AND for us not to be opted in by default.

    I don't want my data or anyone else's data, content or intellectual property being used to train generative. Most people have no interest in unoriginal, AI content. Original, live content is meant to be Twitch's USP. So what're you doing? This is just unethical, predatory, and doomed to fail.

    If you know people wouldn't opt into a feature, maybe don't implement a feature as opt out? You're literally banking on people's inaction and carelessness. **** genAI and trans rights are human rights!

    I do not consent to my data being used this way, and if something like this is rolled out as Opt Out again, I'm willing to give up streaming over it.

    100% agree. Opt Out should be the default setting for any new, optional feature. Advertise it better and let people make their own choice if they want to opt in.

    No creative or performance media should be used to train gen AI by default without the creator/artist's explicit consent. This is simply theft of someone's work.

    I am so absolutely disgustingly sick of AI being forced down our throats. I don't want GenAI, I will never want GenAi, and as an artist and lover of arts and crafts, I find the idea of it absolutely abhorrent. To automatically be opted in, without proper warning, without a choice???!? Disgusting.

    By making it 'Opt Out' Twitch has given creators NO CHOICE. This is so scummy. Also, I opted out then went back to the settings and the option was turned back to opt in...I'm being forced to do this. I'm not sure I can keep streaming on this platform if this is the case.

    In honestly any involvement with having your account used to train AI is absolutely scummy. Facebook and X did it and both times people loathed them for adding the feature and opting their users in without prior knowledge or consent.

    IF people really wanted to aid in training AI then they should opt into it themselves.

    I think it's a great idea, twitch has so many thousands of hours of streams every second, and nothing is done with it because vods are removed after 2 weeks.

    We can distill the data from their models later.

    The alternative is that all those thousands of hours every second of people effort disappears forever without anyone benefiting from it, THAT is a shame.

    All in all, I am very happy and 100% in favor of this update from Twitch

    If it's a feature that great like they pretend it is, they shouldn't be worried about people to opt-in on their own!

    If you need to opt out because they know that opting in would be a fail. They should know that this is not ok. So I opped out of this BS.
