Twitch is one of the few major platforms still focused on creating a mutually beneficial relationship with its creators. Automatically opting creators into AI training betrays the trust that relationship is built on. If Twitch decides it’s going to siphon value away from its creators like this for the sake of automation, those same creators will be justified in leaving.

Adding this feature was sneaky and underhanded. It tears away artists rights and this move is frankly paints twitch and all of the employees in a negative light.

I consider my products copyrighted. As a streamer, I own any materials I create. Copyrighted materials shouldn't be part of any AI model. Although I believe that AI is going to be a big part of our lives, Twitch streams and chats shouldn't be used for training any kind of AI model, until this has been sorted out legally,

Ai is complete garbage, no one likes it, wants it, or uses it. It genuinely makes people dumber, it has no place in any creative community. Just like NFTs it will be pushed and "attempted" to be forced onto us until it ultimately fails and makes your greedy shareholders lose more money than they thought they'd earn.

Echoing the point of, you are not too big to fail. It's already been seen that toggling the option off doesn't always have it remain off. This is predatory, this is unethical. You couldn't even guarantee that this training hadn't already been happening prior to the toggle being added. How many hours of data had you harvested prior to adding it?

No one wants AI. But if you HAVE to push it for your billionaire overlords to sprinkle some of their cash flow into your pants, then at LEAST think of us plebs and make it Opt-In and stringently something that works on a user basis, not a streamer basis.

You guys are running in various regions that have laws on data collection, privacy and minor protection. Turning this on without consent most likely violates multiple laws. Or is it okay for you guys to scrape data from minors to sell? Turn this off immediately, delete all the data it scraped and never talk about this thing again. Nobody wants this disguised tool to collect and sell user data. Also ffs nothing about those LLMs is intelligent. Stop calling it like that.

There are multiple existing AI-related complaints on here that have gone ignored for over a year. From using generated thumbnails even for the art category to AI summaries (which btw, should have clued everyone in to the fact that they were using AI to monitor your streams/chat) and only well after it's implementation do they sneak in an AI-training opt-out thats enabled by default and then post confusing and incorrect instructions to disable it. Twitch is a scumbag company. Perhaps we can all reconcile this fact finally?

Turning this on without informing the creators was absolutely diabolical and disrespectful. Yes, Amazon is the one pushing this on Twitch, however, Twitch as the platform should inform its creators of how their content may be used with these settings BEFORE they are turned on.
