It's so infuriating that companies are STILL trying to shove AI into everything we use, no matter how much we all say we don't want it. We don't want this, Twitch. Stop.

I'm not going to write my usual criticisms because we already know how tone-deaf Twitch has been acting.

I hope any implementation of GenAI nonsense and their continual hemorrhaging of good will also drags their bottom line down to the Earth's core.

AI is not needed or wanted. The option to opt out shouldn't be needed but if it's going to be forced on us no matter what at least let us be the ones to decide to turn it on. Or better yet, stop insisting AI is the future when none of your customers want it and it has been proven to be a dead end technology with no future but failure. No one wants this and all it will do is cost the platform money that could be better spent making ACTUAL improvements

I am all down for new stuff for twitch but this isnt the right one to give us, I would never use this at all, it would be a opt-out by default and we have to turn it on if we would want to use it.

Please read the room, Twitch. Forcing AI onto users is not going to work. You will have a large group of people who ignore the feature entirely, and then smaller groups who either go out of their way to get rid of it, or leave your platform entirely.

The small number of people who actually WANT this feature WILL, in fact, TURN IT ON THEMSELVES. That's all I'm really asking; if you have a new feature you want to show off, don't just force it down on everyone. Let us choose.

The correct course of action is to just not do this in the first place, but a transparent and easy to access option to disable these features is the next best thing

It would be better for all of the AI stuff be "opt-in by default" because if a setting is "opt-in by default", it means it is OFF and you need to opt-in to turn it on. This also means, what you are asking is exactly the opposite to what you seem to want.

really, really freaking tired of "oh let's put something NO ONE WANTS" like- i wish it would just all. stop. this. this is tiring. it better be not only opt out by default.

While some may view AI as making things simpler and easier for the masses, this is something that none of us really asked for, or the majority did not want on Twitch. Not only this, but I feel that by even the idea of having AI features on Twitch makes the platform feel more soul-less.

I find the communities efforts cute, but the only thing that will releave the AI issue is government regulations.

There are so many issues with AI. It guzzles water and energy, is built on stolen content, and is being used to actively replace human workers, etc. etc. We need protection against AI bots like FrostyTools which can read and use much of our data. There are no guardrails on it and who knows what it's going to do with our information. We're seeing AI copies of streamers online already. I vehemently reject any AI features Twitch wants us to use.

I am so tired of having to worry about generative AI being forced upon me. Generative AI is horrid for the environment, steals from creatives, and harms real people. I don’t want it on the platform at all. It would be nice if Twitch actually listened to their userbase.

Can we please stop putting AI in everything!? Look at ALL the evidence! It's destructive to the environment, it's output is powered by theft, and it's more expensive to maintain than people!
