This feature benefits no one except for greedy higher-ups at Twitch that wanna minimize how much money they're gonna lose from their investments in AI. No one needs this, it was said in Twitch's own communications that this feature was made opt-out rather than opt-in because otherwise no one would choose to participate in it. Twitch would be nothing without its creators and viewers, and this is just a slap in all of their faces. Stop this immediately.

I will no longer be using your platform. This is unacceptable- especially since you are still going to use my channel's content for other things that I also didn't ask for even with this feature off.

Personally, I consider this trial as morally questionable grabbing much data for free by kind of avoiding to state out the change in their policies.

If AI functions, especially training on my content, become difficult to avoid or functionally compulsory, I will not hesitate to leave the platform entirely, as both a streamer and a viewer. It is a hard line for me.

This is horrible. Basically Twitch wants to scrape us to make AI streamers is what this feels like. Just another step away from "community" for Twitch and the entirely out of touch upper management team. Of course, they answer to a scummy billionaire....

I DM'd Mary Kish on IG sharing the same sentiments they were mostly ignoring or giving non-answers to during the stream. Her response was simply a link to an article about how Meta is scraping our IG content for AI and we have to opt out. The absolute disrespect and tone deafness to respond to backlash about this with "this other company run by a corrupt billionaire that supports a felonious p3do billionaire does this scummy thing you all don't like, so why are you attacking our company run by a corrupt billionaire that supports a felonious p3do billionaire for doing the same thing?" Their whole stream was a joke, they told blatant lies about how the data isn't going to be sold, and couldn't answer whether all of our content had already been scraped or not prior to us being able to opt out.

Disgusting, ai is always being forced down our throats and gamer's and viewers don't want it, but for some reason all these corporations don't listen to us and keep pushing ai. Thankfully we get to opt-out but having already being opt-in is forceful and gross.
Nobody likes ai, we like original creative ideas, not stealing art from artists while it always looking like a sloppy mess!

Such a bad look to sneakily auto opt-in users for AI training, which is something almost every streamer does NOT want.

Absolutely disgusting that this was shadowdropped with the "feature" being on by default. Make all AI features optional and opt-out by default 100%.

It should also be mandatory disclosure for streams that have opted in and clearly labeled as it would violate the decision of those who do NOT want their chats fed into genAI garbage.

Opting-in users in by default and then not even trying to hide the fact that it was done that way because you knew no-one actually would want to opt-in is just scummy on top of scummy. If you hadn't lost my trust before, you sure have now.

Incredibly frustrating hearing about this, opt out should always be the default. It should be a user's choice to participate in something - especially anything involving data or AI, not subjected to it by default.
