[Feature] Featured Clips
Featured Clips help you show up on new and existing Twitch discovery spaces in ways that best represent you and your community. We recently shared our plans (https://blog.twitch.tv/en/2023/07/08/everything-we-announced-at-twitchcon-paris/) to launch the upcoming mobile Discovery Feed. As we work towards building new onsite discovery tools like the Discovery Feed, we want to give you more control over which Clips are shown to viewers on Twitch with Featured Clips.
We're already working on improvements to Featured Clips, including:
- Allowing you to opt-in to automatically featuring Clips created by you or your editors.
- Giving Featured Clips access to Mods and other trusted members of your community.
- Adding the ability to feature Clips from the Clip creation flow, the Clip editor, and on mobile.
- Adding more Featured Clips analytics.
We'd love to hear your feedback and suggestions on how to improve this feature.

featured clips is annoying and useless

I would like to ask if it would be possible to create clips for the Tiktok and YT platforms for someone (Channel Creators). As an editor, I am quite limited in this regard. It would be easier if clips could be edited for e.g. Tiktok or YT shorts (cutting to size and adding subtitles or the like). Thank you in advance.

Please get rid of or move the featured clips on mobile. It is unnecessarily big and just overall annoying to see when I open the app. Please either get rid of it completely or move it underneath all of the live and recommended channels. I don’t go on Twitch to watch shorts/clips so adding this feature only causes me to be slightly annoyed when I open the app.

Way too in IOS app. And please move it under the live streams you currently follow. I start to unfollow people because the clips are really annoying at this place. Remove them or move them somewhere else

Way too big on iOS, shrink it or move it. Same with the new giant ad on top, too much real estate when trying to get on

These most recent updates to the app have added so much unwanted noise to the user feed. This is not TikTok regardless of how popular that is. Short form content is not suited for this platform and forcing people to see clips before they can see the streamers they’re following is an inexcusably bad choice. People will be switching to browser with adblocker and tank twitch’s metrics.

The recently featured clips on the mobile app is so large and in the way and I cannot stand it. Please let us opt out
It just shows the same clip for weeks anyway -

This is a poorly implemented idea. It takes up way too much space, it can't be hidden or dismissed, and frankly, I don't care about top clips. When I open mobile Twitch I want to see the people I follow, not clips I definitely won't watch. Please move it elsewhere in the app (like an optional side bar) or remove it entirely.

In the mobile app very annoying that the selected clips are on top of my online channels.
And too many categories with clips now when you look for a channel -

As a viewer I hate that when I open the mobile app the first thing I see is this new ‘featured clips’ section taking up most of my screen. I open the app to see who’s streaming that I’m following and pick one I currently feel like watching. I also don’t care about clips at all in the slightest. Please give us the option to turn this useless feature off or at least move it under currently live streamers I follow, so that when I open the app my followed streamers that are currently live are at the top of the screen like they used to be.

This hinders clips searchability since my clips tab will always show nothing if i don't "feature" anything.
Secondly, I have to manually check the "show only feature" button to show any clips on channels, and this is unacceptably inconvenient.
Even if my viewers clipped anything it shows nothing at first glance. Just awful.Let us opt out of this unwanted "feature".

Please remove this “feature.” It takes up too much real estate. At least let me opt out. It’s horrible.

Move Feature Clips on Following mobile screen to the bottom. My priority is to see who is live right now and go watch them. If I scroll through my who is live and not interested in those people right now, then I can keep scrolling down to Featured Clips to see what streamers have been up to.

Remove this from the app. If I wanted to watch short form content I’d watch YouTube shorts. Get rid of this garbage consumer unfriendly bs

Come on yall, you should know this was not a good idea with your size and placement. The clip thumbnails are large and it pushes down Live streamers thatIm subscribed to. Why the heck does a 4 day old clip get more priority than a streamer Im following that is live at that moment? The Live streamer's thumbnail is also small compared to those Featured Clips. If we wanna watch a channel's clips, we'll go watch them. Plus theres already a tab for clips anyway. Put the Featured Clips in that channel's Clip tab, not constantly on the front page. Speaking for Mobile App by the way.

I visit twitch channels of creators directly on desktop and the featured clips being right at the top is extremely irritating. I do not come to twitch for clips, I come for the streams, and I think most people do.
This has severely affected streamers homepages, where their videos have been removed entirely in favour of clips followed by "recent categories", making it much harder to access their actual videos. Instead you have to go to videos, and STILL move past the oversized clips list.
This feels like an attempt to copy tiktok and youtube shorts on a site founded and developed on long-form content. I wouldn't mind this too much, if this wasn't being pushed so aggressively as to take up huge amounts of space on channels right at the top by default.
Please put them under the most recent videos by default, add videos back to the steamers home page, and reduce the size of the UI, or make it a permanent option to order them for every page/channel for the viewer, or remove them altogether as I am frankly not interested in the slightest.

They've now fixed the bug I tried to report (which I think wrongly got converted to a comment on this feature). Featured clips are now showing at the correct size on my twitch app on tablet. The feature is bearable now but of course others are correct, it should be listed below live channels, not above.

This feature has made me unfollow streamers due to bad clips and an annoying ui decision by twitch to force this to the top of my mobile app. Spoilers for games, keeping already watched clips in your face for days at a time, not a single way to dismiss or close them. User experience is awful and drives me away from channels that are using features clips.
