I get that companies want to optimise their viewership and userbase, and with the success of TikTok chasing their model has become the latest trend...

    ...But Twitch is NOT Tiktok.

It's literally the antethesis, in fact. Tiktok is about the most shortform of shortform content with little need for loyalty to certain channels or creators, while Twitch is based on longform content with extremely loyal fanbases.

So why try to make the Twitch mobile app work like Tiktok? Auto-play is not pleasant, vertical video is not what twitch is designed for, and the overall design just does not make for a beneficial viewing experience for the typical twitch user.

Please, do not continue with this design. I was hoping Twitch would be better than this, it's not too late to turn back. Just focus on keeping a clean and efficient app that is well designed for longform content, not chasing gimmicks from an entirely different platform.

I visit twitch channels of creators directly on desktop and the featured clips being right at the top is extremely irritating. I do not come to twitch for clips, I come for the streams, and I think most people do.

This has severely affected streamers homepages, where their videos have been removed entirely in favour of clips followed by "recent categories", making it much harder to access their actual videos. Instead you have to go to videos, and STILL move past the oversized clips list.

This feels like an attempt to copy tiktok and youtube shorts on a site founded and developed on long-form content. I wouldn't mind this too much, if this wasn't being pushed so aggressively as to take up huge amounts of space on channels right at the top by default.

Please put them under the most recent videos by default, add videos back to the steamers home page, and reduce the size of the UI, or make it a permanent option to order them for every page/channel for the viewer, or remove them altogether as I am frankly not interested in the slightest.
