Please use banner ads instead of random midrolls
Nobody wants to watch random ads that block out the stream. Picture-in-picture doesn't work if we only see but not hear the stream during ads. Banners would solve the problem - you get to give us more ads but the stream doesn't get interrupted. I repeat: nobody needs random ads that block the stream. it's not only disruptive for the viewers, but also for the streamer. bad idea, really.
Just wanted to update this thread that we are doing an experiment right now with Stream Display Ads!
These are less disruptive ads that allow viewers to see and hear Creators while being displayed. Creators will receive ad revenue for each SDA shown.

The suggestion to use banner ads instead of unexpected mid-roll interruptions raises an interesting point about the viewing experience. It would be useful to consider how different ad formats affect both viewer engagement and the ability of creators to monetize their streams.

To be honest, Stream Display Ads don't work at all as random midroll CMs. We can see both Stream Display Ads and Fullscreen CMs.
We want Ads not to block our experiences. Please fix it rapidly. -

I honestly don't even mind the picture in picture, if it was brief audio, and the stream was still at least audible during the ad, or some iteration that would allow seamless viewing experience.

If anything the ads as they are today make me not want to give any business to the organisations running them.

I would gladly allow Display Ads if I could go back to not having full-screen ads. I miss my initial days as Affiliate when I could choose if I ran ads at all. Now I have to decide whether or not to have pre-rolls which ruin raids or full video ads which take management and are far too frequent or long to prevent pre-rolls. If we don't want the money from ads, please let us opt out again.

SDAs don't help the problem in any way, they do not address the issue expressed in this request, not even 1% of it. If they were run *instead* of the disruptive ads, then yes, they would help, but that's not how they work currently, therefore the entire problem is still present and all SDAs do is increase the total ad volume

The video ads are far too intrusive. Whatever the companies are paying you, it's not going to help when you start losing streamers to other platforms. Either switch to a non-intrusive format of advertising or give streamers the option to shut the ads off.

Stream Display Ads do not replace any other type of ads, they're only in addition to any of your other ads that you already have, therefore they absolutely are *not* less disruptive, they are, automatically, only more disruptive since they only add onto the volume of disruption that happens. Extremely misleading, very disappointed in how you handled this

These types of ads are beyond frustrating. Jackbox Games get ruined when they pop on. I LOATHE these cover ads.

Continues to get worse. Hundreds of responses and requests to help have gone utterly ignored. That is because the people getting paid do not care how you feel or what you think. They are rich they don't use the service. They have no clue what it is, but a dividend check.

These ads completely block the screen when trying to play Jackbox Games. It's almost impossible to continue playing when you can't see the game. This causes a disruption for everyone as they have to wait for you...on top of you running out of time to answer a question or whatever. This is ridiculous.

ads would be way less problematic, if they wouldn't use sound as much. in my stream you could throw full screen ads very often without any problems as long as there's small window of video stream and it doesn't affect my sound. there could be some effect sounds maybe in ads, as long as it's adjusted to stream volume (don't want to break ears).

I would say before a midroll ad is about to start could we get a small pop-up saying in the lower right/left corner??
I'm okay with the ads just a heads up would be great!
