1. Customer service for special cases?

   Not entirely sure what category this falls under, but, I'll describe the issue I am currently facing.

   I can't verify my account:

   My new-ish phone number is tied to an account with a bogus username and email that doesn't belong to me. I'm stuck in a position where I can't disassociate the phone number with the fraudulent account.

   In order to do so, I need access to the account and this is where things get tricky.

   You can log in with your phone number via the app. If you don't know the username, you can have a text sent to you with that info. You can then attempt to reset the password and log in.

   I did all of the above, got the username, reset the password.

   Next issue. The account is linked to my phone number, but, the 2FA is sent to their email rather than, you know, the phone number and Authy that ALL of my other accounts are linked to. They can also see that I reset their password and with a single click undo my change and likely have enough time to change their username.

   Since I don't know this individuals email, I can't do anything. I've submitted a ticket, several, actually. The email starts with a letter nowhere even alphabetically close to any email I have ever created, which is how I know this isn't a matter of user error. The email obfuscation only adding to the problem.

   I've been bounced around in circles all day trying to get this issue resolved. I offered to talk to someone directly via the phone number in question, well within office hours only to be shut down by automatically generated emails with dead-end links, completely irrelevant to my problem.

   As for solutions?

   Aside from having a body with a pulse around to tackle special cases such as this, I'm not sure. A simple call back would have likely resolved this issue in less than 10 minutes. Instead, I've wasted a full day, created a twitter, hoping to get into contact with staff, probably sprouted a grey hair, maybe lost a few of my others.

   Pardon the obtuse tone, but, this is frustrating. I would gladly help twitch resolve these sorts of issues on behalf of those who aren't affiliated or partnered. I've been on this platform for nearly a decade now, Twitch CX used to be great.

3. fix this bug.

   PHONE NUMBER BUG. I removed my phone number from an old account and now that phone number cannot be used on any account even the on it was on before. FIX THIS SO I CAN USE TWITCH.

4. allow streamers to notify followers of UPCOMING streams

   streams that happen later that day or night. obviously it would depend on streamers making the notifications but i think they would since it would probably help with the lull of not many users watching when they first go live. also would be cool for the people watching, since they'd be more likely to catch their favorite streamers when they're on, since they can see that they will be and plan their day or whatever accordingly, instead of having to hope that when the streamer goes live, they happen to be able to watch the stream right then.

5. Implement One Time Code by Email

   When you sign up for a new account you are asked to input a one time code through email.

   Please implement the One Time Code for ALL, EXISITING & NEW accounts when logging in.

   Context: I do not have an active cell phone, I live in an area that does not receive SMS Text for the login code, therefore I can't use Authy either. I've been trying to log back into my account for about 3 weeks at this point with help from friends, but to no avail it didn't work.

   Conclusion: Please implement this into the login system, it would not only be a easy fix, but it would save a lot of headaches and frustrations, for people who are unable to use the current Authy system that is in place. I would recommend getting rid of the Authy 2FA and in place of it use OTP (Open Time Password/Code) via Email that the account is connected to when trying to login.

   You do have a similar system already with NEW ACCOUNTS when signing up, HOWEVER! Not for accounts that already EXIST within the system. Please update it to this, it would be a lifesaver for those who don't have Cell Phone Service.

6. Make it possible to swap usernames.

   It would be cool if you could swap usernames. I for example own a cleaner name than the one I am on right now but I gained like 11K followers on the one with the less cool name. (I wasnt bothered by it at the time but I am now getting to a size where I wanna take it more serious and the cleaner name would be sick). ALSO it would be cool if you could contact someone with the name you want and ask him/her if he/she would be willing to give his/her username to you.

7. remove streamer shouts entirely

   Remove streamer shouts entirely! It's an annoyance at best and even if you turn the notifications OFF you are still BOMBARDED with notifications of people you don't even associate with or care about. Twitch staff have not been any help and roll out broken updates that make one think it was produced by COD devs. If you are going to roll out something new then make sure it at least works first.

   Secondly it can cause mental health distress to those who have MH issues.

   REMOVE IT OR FIX YOUR STUFF TWITCH.

8. TWITCH DROPS CRITICAL BUG ! Drops are removed immediately after the stream.

   Hello, Since the recent introduction of the "Load More" button in Twitch drops inventory, drops in some games have started deleting after a stream (they're supposed to last 7 days). Even if I take them into my inventory, they don't appear in the game. Because they're DELETED on Twitch and don't even show up in "Closed Drop Campaigns." They should be there after the stream ends, but they're not—they're simply deleted. This has been observed in Rainbow Six Siege and Standoff 2.
   Twitch support ignores this and makes the user look stupid, claiming it's their fault, not a Twitch bug. This has been going on for about two weeks now. But support ignores me and responds with boilerplate responses. They don't understand what they're being asked to do—contact real Twitch technical support and fix the drop deletion bug. This is currently happening in Rainbow Six Siege. Drops are completely filled, removed unless you click "Claim." If you click "Claim" but don't bind them, the items don't arrive. This is because they were completely removed on Twitch. But they should last at least 7 days, maybe longer! HELP !

10. Bring Back Toggle to Disable Channel Point Redeem Announcements in Chat

    Hi Twitch team,

    Channel Points are an amazing way for viewers to interact, but the forced purple announcement lines (“username redeemed [Reward]”) make chat unreadable, notably during high-volume redeems. Especially for certain redeems that are meant to be spammed, like check-ins/greetings/etc.

    Even extensions and integrations suffer. For example, when using interactive extensions like Tangia, viewers may queue dozens of redeems at once, even on smaller streams. It's fun and engaging, but the constant announcements overwhelm chat so streamers and viewers alike struggle to interact with their communities.

    There used to be a toggle to disable these announcements per-reward, but it’s no longer available. Please consider adding back:

    A global toggle to hide all redemption announcements would be great for when streamers want as little spam as possible, like story games.

    A per-reward option so we can selectively disable announcements for spam-heavy redeems while keeping them for rewards we may want to announce like Hydrate or Posture Check.

    This would restore chat readability while making Channel Points usable for more creative, interactive features without harming the viewing or chat experience.

    Thank you for considering this request — Improving this would make Channel Points more usable and increase adoption of creative redeems and engagement without spam.

12. Stop banning people without explanation and making it impossible to communicate with support

    Pretty self explanatory, but multiple people I know have been banned without explanation. They submit an appeal stating they can't possibly defend themselves if they don't know what they did,. Appeal denied and now the "enhanced" resolution process that Dan Clancy bragged about at Twitch Con makes it literally impossible to contact support with additional information.

    This process is still a complete dumpster fire. Why is there not a process which allows back and forth communication?

    I get that at some point a decision is a decision, but when you're not telling someone what part in the thousands of words that make up all of your policies they broke, that's a bit ridiculous and impossible to defend.

13. Drop Authy, this **** app does not work anywhere, allow us to use another auth app, or ACTUALLY SEND THE ******** SMS CODES AT LOG IN!

    I'm locked out of my twitch account because Twitch refuses to send me the 2FA SMS. Their support suggested I contact Authy and/or install the app and use that to log in. I installed Authy on my phone and it just says "This device does not meet minimum integrity requirements" and refuses to work, but I have Google Authenticator on it which works perfectly. I contacted Authy support, and they are suggesting I install the app or contact twitch for help. They have created a nice cycle of actually not doing *. I used Authy to even change my phone number which they did and had to identify me which required them to send me an SMS code to my previous phone number that was registered on Twitch but on which Twitch was somehow failing to send the same kind of SMS code to let me log in, and even with this new number I still can't log in because again Twitch is not sending the SMS codes. I have asked Authy support to delete my Authy account and if deleting it will remove the 2FA requirement from Twitch and allow me to log in without the need of an SMS code, and they said they aren't sure. Then WHO THE * ELSE should know this if not the side that handles the 2FA for Twitch? And all twitch support does is it recommends me install Authy or contact them for support. This system was designed by morons.

14. Suspicious User Controls: Can't delete a shared info channel because the channel owner banned me from his channel

    Basically the user banned me from his channel and i had associated him on my Suspicious User Controls tool. When i tried to remove him, i got an error and, when i let the tool on, my friends can't write on my channel because the other guy banned us from his channel.

    Do you know a solution? I think maybe this is a bug, you should be able to delete people from the Suspicious User Control list regardless if you're banned or not from his channel.

15. Raise the mininum age from 13 to 16

    There has been so much infighting about children on the platform and it needs to be addressed. Under the Terms of Service (ToS) The minimum age requirement to view and create an account on Twitch is 13.

    This is becoming problematic on the site as streamers are being told to make their content suitable for an audience they don't cater to, and there has been an increase in trolling streamers.

    It's not a cure-all but I strongly believe that increasing the minimum age requirement from 13 to 16 will help in resolving this. It will (hopefully) signal to parents that the site might not be for their children and make better decisions to looking for/watching content that is more appropriate for a younger audience.

    In addition, I recommend removing accounts that are verified to be under the age of 13 or younger. As I said before: I don't think this is a one-size-fits-all solution, but I think it's a start in the right direction for the platform.

16. No me deja seguir a un canal en Especifico

    He solicitado asistencia mediante helpTwitch, sobre que no me deja seguir a un canal en especifico (twitch.tv/GREEN) llevo mucho tiempo mandando tickets y siempre me contestan lo siguiente "Si aún tiene problemas para seguir a los usuarios / categorías, es posible que haya alcanzado el límite" señores, no he llegado al limite de creadores de contenido que sigo, ya que son muy pocos los que sigo, así que ese no sería el problema, Vuelvo y repito, y he hablado con el Creador de contenido, y me ha mostrado que NO ESTOY BLOQUEADO POR EL, por que si lo estuviera ni siquiera pudiera escribir en su chat, o la otra respuesta que siempre me dan es "Hemos revisado su caso a fondo, y le confirmamos que infelizmente, no podemos darle más información adicional sobre su solicitud, fuera de las soluciones que ya le ofrecimos en nuestras respuestas anteriores." no me dieron soluciones, simplemente le dan vuelta a lo mismo y lo mismo, y no encuentro solución, incluso he enviado videos y capturas como prueba. Espero recibir alguna solución.

17. Fixt bitte Twitch auf Opera

    Seit einigen Tagen habe ich ziemlich arge Probleme damit, Twitch über Opera GX zu nutzen.

    • Benachrichtigungen und Flüsternachrichten werden nicht geladen, wenn ich sie mir anzeigen lassen will

    • ich kann keine Clips erstellen, obwohl die Option verfügbar ist (es wird lediglich eine "autoblanc"-Seite aufgerufen

    • das Teilen von Subscribtion-Nachrichten im Livechat ist nicht möglich (die Nachricht kommt nach dem Absenden weder im Chat, noch im Dashboard des Streamers an)

    • der Kauf von Abonnements kann nicht abgeschlossen werden (es lädt und lädt, wird aber nicht fertig... Probleme mit den Zahlungsmitteln sind ausgeschlossen)

    • die Anzeige "Das Cookie-Gespräch" verschwindet nicht mehr ... egal, ob ich die Cookies akzeptiere oder ob ich sie verwalte und speichere

    Ich habe mehrfach versucht, mich neu einzuloggen bzw Twitch neu aufzurufen.
    Doch die Probleme bestehen weiterhin.
    Ich muss jedes Mal auf einen alternativen Internetbrowser zurückgreifen, um diese Schwierigkeiten zu umgehen.
    Das ist sehr nervig und zeitraubend, da Opera GX mein Standardbrowser ist.
    Daher bitte ich um schnellstmögliche Behebung.

18. Fix support for Windows 10 Web Authentication Broker

    Apps on Windows 10/11 use Web Authentication Broker (special built-in UWP app) in order to securely authenticate a user.
    Unfortunately it still uses IE based web view. Causing this

    You must add a special check and allow to open auth view in IE.

    How to reproduce
    Install https://www.microsoft.com/store/productId/9NN46KBBHL2W
    Try to authenticate

    Expected behavior
    Twitch is opened in Web Authentication Broker and allows to authenticate

19. Dont auto enable notifications on follow

    This happens frequently, If i follow a channel because I want to check it out or see when its online the notifications are automatically enabled and then ill get a notification in the middle of the night

    Added bonus if I then want to disable the notification on that channel I have to sit and watch an ad because it blocks the controls for this. So im either watching an ad at 4am or I'm likely forgetting and getting another notification the next day and getting woken up again.

    note; would be mitigated if we could only get notifications during set hours. its not an option for me to mute my entire device for.. reasons
