Allow channel moderators to control polls/predictions over the API The endpoints announced earlier today ( https://discuss.dev.twitch.tv/t/announcing-apis-and-eventsub-for-polls-and-predictions/31539 ) should be usable by channel moderators so that third-party apps like Chatty can make use of them without the broadcaster needing to authenticate.

Allow getting realtime updates on polls/predictions/channel points redemptions through websockets for all users If would be very useful for chat clients or chat overlays to be able to show live updates on these features. Currently they are only available for the broadcaster (redemptions) or not at all through websockets (polls/predictions).
Ideally this would be available for all users to receive, just like chat is (which allows more simple integration into all kinds of tools), but even just mods using third-party moderation tools would already benefit greatly from this.
I included all three of those features, since they all seem to follow the same idea of only allowing the broadcaster access to that information…

Live notification Kraken allows you to set Game and Title.
Helix allows you to set nothing.
Aside from updating Helix to allow setting game and title, we'd like to be able to set the "Go Live Notification"

Verified Developer Badge Partners get a verified badge, it would be nice for published developers to get a badge too, maybe after a certain usage requirement of their extension, like how partners have to hit certain limits to become partner, maybe enough usages or page views of the extension will get a dev a badge.

API endpoints to query the music catalog for DJs Please provide an endpoint to query the music catalog for DJs by Artist name and title or by ISRC.
This will help automating synchronizing the local catalog with the Twitch catalog to know which tracks are legally playable on Twitch and helps also with music request tools to instantly tell if the request is fulfillable.
There are probably tons of more use cases that come up in the coming weeks and after the dj program started.217 votesWe are actively investigating APIs for the music catalog. Improve the accuracy and precision of "hlsLatencyBroadcaster" in the Extension helper library. An improved "hlsLatencyBroadcaster" value unlocks and improves interactive experiences that rely on precise synchronization. For example, the Tobii eye tracker Extension and many Genvid Extensions that rely on this latency for accurate click or display location.

There are some technical challenges to solve to provide a better experience for synchronous use cases, though we do not have a timeframe for when this effort would be prioritized at this time.

First Time Chatters Allow the
channel.chat.messageEventSub subscription to include if it is the first time the user has sent a message in the given channel.We can see this with IRC but not EventSub.
I understand only broadcasters or moderators can normally see that directly from native twitch chat without extensions, so possibly a scope or moderator status would be required.
It would just be nice to retain that information because it is useful for streamers who might use chatbots to respond to first time chatters with a welcome message. Also it is useful for moderation tools to see if a flood…

Create Custom Reward: can't provide custom image Create/Update doesn't provide the ability to upload/change images for a reward.
This would be useful.
Alternatively if we can't do upload initially.
Add the ability to specify a channel emote (either by coDe or ID) so the reward would "copy" the channelEmote for that channel in.
So if I create a reward for CohhCarnage I can pick a cohhEmote (but I can't pick a liriki emote)

Expose profile accent color in the Users API In the channel settings, you may specify a "profile accent color" to represent your brand.

Add Support for Channel Points Community Challenges Add support to access/query and maybe even create/edit/delete community challenges.
For example to unlock a big "something" in a game, when the community goal has been reached.

Allow Developers to Delete or Archive Old Extension Versions When an Extension goes through constant improvement cycles the Extension versions start to pile up on the developer dashboard. There doesn't appear to be a particular order in which the versions are displayed so it becomes a tedious task to find the latest one just by looking through the small semver text on the thumbnail.

Helix modify channel information endpoint should allow access to editors The new helix endpoint to modify channel information ( https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/api/reference#modify-channel-information ) doesn't work with a user token from a user that has been added as an editor to the channel. This basicially shuts out any clientside tool used by editors where it's impractical for the broadcaster to directly authorize access. Editors should be trusted enough to be able to choose their own tools.
Allowing access to editors would especially make sense if this is intended as a replacement for the v5 endpoint ( https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/v5/reference/channels#update-channel ), which does allow editors to update the stream title and game. It would also work…

Channel Analytics API There needs to be an API that allows for the return of channal analytics.
This would have the reqiured query parameters of: broadcaster_idOnly stating the broadcaster_id could return the following results:
- Average viewers
- Total views
- Average new followers per stream
- Total followers
- Average subscribers per stream
- Total subscribers
- Average minutes watched per stream
- Total minutes watchedIt could also return:
- Best performing catagories
- Best performing tagsThere would idealy also be some optional query parameters: start-date, end-date, time.
Adding the optional query parameters would also add the result:

Gifted Sub Leaderboard Similar to the Bits Leaderboard, please add a gifted subs leaderboard API, so we can see everyone who has gifted a sub in the channel.

Allow Developers to Rollback to Approved Extension Versions Allowing developers to roll back a released version to another (approved) version would allow developers to quickly address breaking issues without going through a review process.
