1. Bring back the D4DJ Groovy Mix category.

D4DJ Groovy Mix is a rhythm game that had it's own category, but DJs wouldn't stop streaming in it and it seems after the DJ category was implemented the one for the game was removed. I don't care about watching DJs I care about watching people play this rhythm game, and now it's hard to actually find people playing it live because you deleted the category.

2. Ability to hide Stories / Short form content from following page and sidebar

The new implementation of pushing short form content to the top of your following page and the sidebar is extremely annoying as someone who intentionally avoids short form content. I'm aware of how much time can be easily stolen from users scrolling short form content and find that behavior extremely concerning for long term health, so I choose to avoid and hide these content forms where possible. Imagine my dismay when discovering twitch has also decided to also opt into having its own form of this new media plague, and has not even considered that some users do not even want the option to engage with this form of content, and has no way to hide or filter this either. I don't want to wait for, or have to use a third party extension to enable removal of these page elements, it should be an option available to users by default.

3. Anniversary Hat shows whenever the username appears

When you're celebrating your anniversary of being an affiliate/partner, it should show the little party hat on the side bar and in the list of users, not just on your channel page.

4. Block tags

This was also suggested back in 2020 but clearly no twitch employees have cared to even check it… Let us hide specific tags already, I absolutely do not enjoy watching vtubers at all and I’m so annoyed when 70% of what I see are just vtubers. I truly despise it when people use fake voices and an anime avatar, please let us block tags!

5. Fear and Hunger - Category no longer exists

At some stage the "Fear & Hunger" game category has disappeared from twitch.

it's sequel, Fear & Hunger 2 : Termina is an available category, but not the first game.

Fear & Hunger still exists in IGDB ID: 114110

6. A truly randomized Twitch Featured Clip infinite scroll designed for streamer discoverability with no bias to size

I was thinking smaller and affiliate creators have an incredibly difficult time getting any discoverability, so what if we had a randomized featured clip scroll, naturally with a little bias to interest(Perhaps based on tag frequency?) but is not effected by the size of the streamer, such as the amount of views a clip gets due to the streamer in question already being massive. The interaction counted towards the algorithm would STRICTLY be tied to those who RANDOMLY found the clip through the random clip infinite scroll.

Have it so the ratio at which people skipped, watched, followed, and/or liked affects channel discoverability on the homepage? So if a certain clip gets a ton of traction from a relatively sizeable pool, it increases their likelihood of being shown on the main page? This could potentiate organic discoverability for consistently good creators, large or small.

7. Marking a recommended category as not interested should also filter out all channels in that category

When browsing Categories by Recommended for You, if I mark a Category as Not Interested, when I then browse Live Channels by Recommended for You, all channels in that category should be filtered out.

For example, I marked ASMR and Pools, Hot Tubs, & Beaches as Not Interested but I still see channels in those categories in the recommended channels section. I have to then mark each individual channel as Not Interested. Just marking the category as not interested should filter all those channels out automatically.

8. Properly inform why someone is "not allowed to watch the stream" or why the "content is blocked"

Because twice now I've been unable to watch a channel without specified reason (as in: I am NOT blocked nor banned nor ignored by those streamers, as I can still chat, and can verify the messages goes through, and even follow them as usual), I get a "You are not allowed to watch this stream" followed by "Content blocked", and it has only been affecting my account (that I know of), as I can still pop out the stream on a private window or incognito mode, or even log out and watch the stream without that prompt happening.

9. Game Setup Tutorial videos for Streamers

Essentially, a lot of streamers playing games during Variety periods, and this applies a lot to old games, tend to improperly setup the respective games (due to their age or certain things that have to be worked out). Not only that, a lot of streamers don't approach older games correctly, resulting in frustrations, chat backseating and overall an incomplete experience.

For example, Max Payne 3 is a very fickle game:
   - It features controls that aren't explained to the player directly (G to roll, Ctrl to sprint, 1 2 3 4 for gun controls, H to switch shoulder),
   - The proper way to play the game isn't explained (aiming down the sights 24/7 is not the way to go, hipfiring while being mobile instead has a higher survivability rate due to better FOV aswell as the fact that it's not really inaccurate at all),
   - Details like the fact that you have to EXPLORE to find things, instead of going directly into the next checkpoint missing funny optional scenes.
Thus... any big streamer that just boots up the game and goes along to figure it out will not have a complete, enjoyable experience.

My solution? Each game category should have a setup tutorial video, manually selected (NOT BY A BOT.). Essentially, these videos will be a guide for streamers to get the game setup and explain fundamentals of gameplay aswell as details that are important for a perfect experience. They should be SPOILER-FREE, shouldn't hold the streamers hand and obviously... short enough to be digested.

Obviously the issue with this would be introducing videos from the outside (non-twitch staff), but I believe it's worth it. I, for one, am available at all times and if this feature gets voted and accepted, I'd accept any contact from Twitch to set this up, I'll even make a video for Max Payne 3 as the first example. I'm not a good editor but I can make a concise video that explains that game, and it should be a good enough example for other tutorial videos.

I think everyone's encountered this issue with bigger streamers especially, where useful chat info is never read and therefore useful information is never gathered and suddenly, they hit a roadblock that could have been fixed by reading the chat. Obviously, big streamers can't read chat, but this idea should completely resolve that.
Even moreso, maybe include something that advertises this feature, like when a streamer selects a category to stream, a pop-up or atleast notification should appear about wanting to watch the tutorial or not.

10. Unattended Streams

Unattended streams are expanding. This includes anything where the streamer is never there or away for an extended time and there is little to no interaction with them. Some examples are: reruns, sleeping, AI powered, CCTV & scenery cams, traditional TV & radio stations, and anything else pre-recorded outside of Twitch. These streams need to have their own place so that viewers know what to expect. For those interested, to be able to find them easily, and those not interested, to know they can move on. There are a couple dedicated categories for this, Always On and Twitch Plays, but they're not widely known and are used very little compared to Just Chatting and the multitude of Video Game categories that are being misused for these unattended streams. What I propose is a new Unattended directory which should include the two existing categories and a few new categories reflecting the examples I've given above.

12. World of Warcraft - Dragonflight/Classic split

Hello, as a Wow viewer/streamer i'd love to see a different categories for Dragonflight (changed accordingly by future expansion releases) and Classic.

Im retail player and I really don't want to see any streams from Classic Wow. There are literally couple streams which are titled/tagged by "Retail" "DF" what I'm also doing on my stream but it should be categorized for better and quicker discoveration about what you're actually interested in.

14. Following Side Bar

Why have the channels that you follow been moved off of the side bar. I rarely watch live and having easy and quick access to channels that I follow regardless of whether they are live or not is important.

The side bar currently only contains; your followed channels that are currently live (this is good keep it) & recommended channels (this is useless, as the front page already has this and does it better, remove it. its using valuable space unnecessarily)

Bring back followed channels to the side bar, live ones at the top and offline ones under. Nothing else.

Also once they are back on the side bar allow us to arrange them in more ways. NOT using what ever algorithm use to arrange them, it sucks. We should be able to arrange our followed channels how we see fit not it a way that seems to change with the wind. This would be very easy to do, they could be arranged; Alphabetically, most recently live/interacted with, most watched, most recently followed?, and custom (users arrange channels in whatever order they want).

I believe all these changes are extremely necessary and should be implemented as soon as possible. Thank you for your time.

16. Feature "Console Challenge" streamers on the front page

Console challenges are relatively niche on Twitch but I think this comes from a lack of exposure and not from a lack of interest from the majority of Twitch viewers. There are many console challenge streamers dedicating years of their streaming careers to play entire video game console libraries on stream that use the "ConsoleChallenge" tag. I propose a slot on the front page that cycles through streamers that use this tag consistently.

Console challenge channels each have their own set of rules, their own creative approach to tracking stats and logistics related to their massive projects, and of course their own style! I think this idea would help promote the idea of a console challenge and introduce it to many more people that never would have heard of it otherwise!

17. Sort Viewers by Low to High

This will help affiliates (less popular streamers) greatly. People will always scroll a bit to see their favorite streamers (which tend to already be very popular streamers), but sorting low-high will at least allow viewers to see that some less popular streamers are in-fact streaming. Also, creating an in-house side-by-side view like multi-twitch would be greatly helpful.

18. Stop recommending softporn

I've never watched any "Just Chatting" or Cosplay or Just Dance, but every time there is at least one channel twitch "thinks I like" that has either shows a near naked women in a hottub/bed/etc. or trying a new spandex outfit or something.

Like sometime over half the screen is just a chest or an *** in my face.
I get it, these streamers make and provide a lot of income, but this is twitch, not pornhub.
I'm not offended or anything, but it just doesn't belong on a gaming platform.

    Example : "dirty&dancing : https://ibb.co/VN5g8YJ "

Twitch has a gazillion algorithms to detect copyrighted stuff. It should be fairly easy detecting that at least 25% or more is showing off skin which should auto flag the channel 16+ and not wind up in the recommended channel list.

At least stop showing these on the recommended channel list or blur the still or something.

I would really like a save the world as a category option as I don't feel it fits into just fortnite category. Most people want to see battle royal mode and use fortnite category to find it. But as a save the world founder, I've noticed people want to learn how to play this game but can't filter it out from battle royal. This basically makes content creators undiscoverable on save the world mode. There's been an increasing interest in this mode and I'd like to show people it.
