1. Stop removing categories so we can actually find them when we search for them, or select them when we stream them.

   START WITH NINJA GAIDEN 2004 AND NINJA GAIDEN BLACK, a game that has no category AT ALL anymore on twitch since someone who has no idea what he/she is doing thought the NES game is the same as the XBOX game!

   The funny thing is, that Ninja Gaiden Sigma and Sigma 2 were also removed, but now that those games get a PC release in June, they were conveniently added back as a category, EVEN THOUGH twitch's own policy says that different versions of a game will not be featured as categories... This is just infuriating.

2. Make a more fair formula for being found.

   Currently the top views are in the top of the list for followed channels. In categories it is the same way. With disabilities we often can't stream the hours or consistently stream like those that do. So finding a better way to be discovered will help those with accessibility needs. We have a voice but sometimes we are not found due to current set up.

   It will also make it safer for other streamers that are not disabled. As many people give out bad advice to just constantly stream such as to not work or sleep. That streaming to be found is more important than having an outside life.

3. Banned channels in recommended

   So i got banned from a channel recently (Oops) and i keep getting this person in my recommended. It would be nice if people don't get streamers that they are banned from in their recommendations

4. Upgrade the category options for mobile streaming

   At the moments in order to stream from mobile you have to select a game title, but many games are missing from the selection. Instead of game titles can we stream by genre or company that makes the game?

5. Comedy its own category

   With comedy clubs across the country being closed many of them have turned to Twitch to keep shows going. I wish Comedy had it's own category.

   I have recognized over 50 accounts that would consider themselves either Stand Up, Sketch Comedy, or Improv

6. The Twitch channel should raid other channels

   Being new to twitch is very daunting, there is so much invisible content that you would never discover unless you knew it was there. Why don't you have a twitch channel that new users can join and the channel goes on a raid journey whereby those in the channel can be exposed to content they would otherwise not have seen, and on the way those who like the channels they visit on the journey can drop a follow or even subscribe or even jump onto the channel they find and like. Like a guided tour bus that you can get off when you see something you like. Having twitch raid your channel would be a real confidence booster for any streamer and it promotes the platform as well.

   There should be a “recently watched” section, which shows channels that you have recently watched. It would make sense to have this because people are more likely to return to a stream that they have recently watched regardless of being a follower.

9. Twitch Travel Tab Category -(For virtually travelling the world)+Pay per hour!

   Dear twitch company, I have an idea for you to improve the quality of life for
   Twitch company and its users. It offers a new solution that allows much more views across all your cams, the new benefit of pay per hour streaming and my idea also offers the benefit of opening up the field of advertising without being intrusive. It also would greatly increase entertainment value by adding a new thing to do while using twitch!

   The Twitch trickle feed advertising system

   For this idea to work we need a new fun travel category section on twitch

   First part of Idea - (New Twitch Travel Category)

   If you had a way to categorize all the webcams
   on twitch to Countries/Cities/Towns/areas as a separate
   feature, users of twitch will want to travel virtually the world
   of twitch webcams to see the people of the world as if being on holiday.

   This new Travel feature should make it easier for streamers to
   gai views because of the nature of how travelling works in the real
   world. If you want to see who is playing music in Bulgaria you click
   on Bulgaria. If you want to see who is dancing in Tokyo, you click
   on dancing in Tokyo etc, etc.
   This new feature would allow more entertainment value to the twitch
   viewer and allow for an easier way for all streamers to get views as
   an additional feature in a tab on Twitch main page.
   This new category feature also allows an opportunity for trickle pay for
   all streamers and a way for all worlds bloggers/site owners and businesses
   to get cheap advertising.

   Tab idea - On the main Twitch site on the left you could have the words
   Twitchtravel with a logo of an aircraft at the end to make it seem an
   interesting area to click on on twitch.

   Next keeping the bits system as it is for streamers, especially pros I have
   a new way to pay per hour every streamer using twitch through
   a type of advertising I call trickle stream advertising and will work well
   with the new Twitch travel zone cateogry ive just explained about above.

   Let us look into this more

   Second part of idea - (pay per hour per streamer idea)

   If it were possible for streamers when live to have a
   thin area at the very bottom of the feed for small news
   like banner that feeds mini adverts quickly one after the other,
   you can stream and be paid per hour every time you stream.
   The mini banner system I talk of is used on Tv news sites and can be non intrusive to the stream quality by keeping the news banner as thin as
   possible. The adverts must be quick and short to work properly so you can
   have up to 50 ad running at one time per stream which keeps the news banner stream fresh too.

   Let us say you had 50 quick adverts running in your
   news banner in succession while you stream. You can charge an
   advertiser at £0.05 per hour for non stop
   streaming wichh works out only £36 to each advertiser for up to month
   long adverts.
   Thats a lot of cheap advertising for a whole month of non stop ads!
   The streamer would get £0.04p x 50 ads which is £2
   per hour stream ongoing regular cash and at 8 hours
   streaming gives them £112 income which is good for
   poorer countries worldwide and a good incentive to
   stream more on twitch. No longer do you need to rely
   solely on bits and every streamer should benefit.

   Twitch company
   of course would make £0.01 per hour profit per streamer which is nice.

   Now on to two ways to make the advertising work

   Third part of idea - (Twitch sub page advertising)
   You could set up a twitch subpage for world wide
   companies/bloggers and site owners users to offer advertising
   to streamers for their websites and blogs at the above hourly rates. (Over time
   it could become a known place to go for world advertising if it worked.)
   Now this sub page advertisers can ask streamers to use their adverts on their
   news banners at pay per hour prices.

   The subpage would become a sort of database of advertising for all
   streamers to use on their feeds. All the streamer has to do
   now is simply click on the ads it wants running from the list of advertisers and then the news banner feeds quick mini ads while the streamer streams. This
   new subpage area of course by its nature would have a limit of ads available
   initially but would improve once it gets known worldwide. Also Twitch users
   could offer advertising here for their blogs/sites and businesses as well, maximising adverts available.

   A point to note regarding the subpage advert limitations

   If you used the Travel category system on twitch I mentioned initially, the adverts on the news banners could be localized around the world by getting streamers to connect to people in their local area to create the advertising for their news banners on the bottom of their streams. The advertising would be then be localized and unique to each streamer on twitch, overcoming the limitations of the subpage system.

   Lets look into one way for localized advertising to work

   Fourth part of idea - (Localized twitch leaflets)

   Trickle income benefits every streamer with ongoing pay per hour income but it needs advertisers to work. To maximise the amounts of adverts for the mini news banners, the streamers can do a small twitch ad leaflet drop to their neighbours with twitch leaflets, they can suggest Twitch streaming to others, tell them about their streams and also show customers the advertising system allowing people around their neighbourhood the chance to advertise their own blogs, sites and businesses on the news banner ads on their Twitch stream.
   By doing small leaflet drops streamers in each area of the
   world benefit from collecting advertising from people in the local area for blogs,
   sites, local businesses, and new streamers. If every streamer did this, every streamer benefits from localized adverts on their mini news banner on thier streams.
   You could have a pdf template on Twitch for a
   barebone leaflet that can be edited by each streamer for printing a few leaflets.

   That is the brunt of my idea and it sounds like it could work and benefit.

   I see this idea as a great way for streamers to be paid per hour.
   I see this as a great opportunity to meet the people of the world and their talents while using Twitch.
   I see this as a fresh way to be entertained as a twitch user and also a great way
   for worlds advertising to increase, especially seeing as nowadays it is better
   for us to work at home due to coronavirus.
   I also see this as a great way for more streamers to get more views instead of being stuck at the bottom of a long scrolled page due to streamer numbers on twitch.

   Finally for Twitch Company at 0.01p per hour profit per streamer, you get a fine bunch of income for your company too if this all worked out.

   Please feel free to use this idea to improve the quality of lives around the globe
   and the value of Twitch Company

10. Hacking in streaming

    Hi all ! I'm just starting since 1 month to stream legal Hacking in twitch, through the "Hack the box" website (stream in French). This website proposes many vulnerable machines, in order to hack them for learning.

    I think it could be very interesting to add a new "Hacking" category, for those who are passionate by this subjet ! Actually, the only catory that "matches" a bit, is "Science & Technology".

11. change Elder scrolls online Label from stealth to mmo/rpg.

    Hi i'm aaron, i am avid twitch viewer, i love the mmo genre on your site but when i was scrolling through the different mmos in your directory i noticed elder scrolls online is listed as a stealth game and open world. this I believe this is wrong to tag this game with stealth cause it has elements of stealth in a dlc but it is a mmo at heart and a Rpg.

    i hope a dev can Re-label Elder scrolls online with rpg mmo as the main tags for it it could stand out more on twitch. cause at the moment its stuck with the other full on stealth games in the twitch game directory.

12. ¿Qué hacéis por los nuevos?

    Es decir, sabemos que al llegar a esta plataforma debemos poner de nuestro esfuerzo pero... he visto a personas con mucho talento y 0 viewers. ¿Por qué solo preocuparse por el copyrigth, lenguaje pero no por las nuevas comunidades?.

    Tengo una propuesta: Por qué no hacer algo, por así llamarlo "Twitch Lite" para comunidades pequeñas. Que en este apartado de Twitch solamente hayan influencers que vayan comenzando en el ambiente del streaming y todo esto, de esta forma, la gente sabrá que ese apartado es para miembros de comunidades pequeñas y si quieren ver algo o a alguien nuevo entrar ahí.

    También podrían crear en ese sentido una división que vaya desde las comunidades pequeñas (Twitch lite) hasta las mas grandes (Twitch Masters) saben, como si fuesen ligas de competición, no sé, es una idea loca que se me vino a la cabeza y a menos para mi suena cool y con más oportunidades ya que se competiría para llegar a ser de los grandes (como en la mayoría de los videojuegos). Bueno, solo quise dejar ese pensamiento XD.

14. Search Changes

    Recently am having alot of trouble finding "live" streams in my search results. I like to search streams on their titles, such as "pc builds" etc. Now most, if not all, my results are user names, and continually having to scroll to find any live stream is tedious.
    Please change the way search functions back to like it was, where I could search for stream titles, not users.

15. Alternate Sorting Options for Offline Followed Channels

    Most of the suggestions on here are in reference to live channels, and although I can see how it could get annoying if many of your followed channels are live, I have had no problem with this in the past.

    The feature I would really like to see, however, is a way to sort offline channels so that they don't shift around all the time. Since they are currently sorted based on how many new videos they have, it means that the list is constantly shuffled around when you click on a channel and it registers that you've seen these videos. I would love to be able to just have them sorted alphabetically so they are always in the same place. This would make it much more convenient when looking for a specific channel who's stream I wasn't able to catch.

16. Diffrent kinds of art as diffrent games

    Having creative show up as a game is okay but really vague. Having different types of art to chose from like games would be really easier for artists and our viewers. Like not everyone who enjoys watching people do textile art like looming enjoys animation, painting, there's a lot of people who prefer traditional or digital, etc.

17. Homepage by region

    Greetings,

    I don't know if this is the right contact for this. But I wanted to suggest something that would be very beneficial for channels from different regions to grow.

    I have communicated this via twitch surveys before.

    My suggestion is:
    It would be very beneficial for channels to grow if the Twitch homepage displayed channels from the regions the users are from (e.g: if a user is from Saudi Arabia, the homepage will display Arabic channels ..etc)

    I have been streaming on twitch for 4 years now and have been a partner since 2015. However, I need to grow on other platforms (e.g youtube) to grow my twitch channel. You may have noticed that many Arabic users are coming to twitch and what i've been hearing is that it's very difficult to navigate and find Arabic streamers (they have to use the filter and type "Arabic" in english :) )

    I believe this is an easy implement that could benefit Twitch to grow in different regions as well as streamers.

18. Discovery Through Chat Engagement

    As many of you know twitch has little to no discoverability so I considered ideas on how that could change. Engagement is a huge part of a strong community and this system would reward it. The idea came to me from the Pre Roll Ad function. Pre roll ads are the ads you encounter when entering a streamers stream and twitch has a way to temporarily turn them OFF. When you manually run an ad from the dashboard the Pre Roll Ads turn off for a designated amount of time based on the length of the ad you ran. So I thought why can’t the “view” count do something similar through chat engagement? Let’s say you have 5 viewers and 2 of them are actively engaging with your stream, you would get a “phantom” +2 viewers. Your viewer count would remain 5 but you “engagement” number would be 7. The thought is that you would change position in the category you are in based on your "Engagement" number rather than your view count. This way more engaging communities will see quicker growth while being higher in the category of their choosing.

    My thoughts were chat engagement would give you 60 seconds per the individual chatter, this timer would have to run down before it could be reset just like the Pre-Roll Ad Off function. Subscriptions would grant you 120 seconds, follows 60 seconds, cheers 90 seconds, etc. All of these counters would count per individual chatter and actions of the same type would not stack, for example if a chatter speaks in chat and says something again 15 seconds later the time will NOT add 60 more seconds until their original chat timer expired. However if that chatter follows, subscribes, cheers, etc THEN time would be added.

    Imagine being raided with this system. You could have 100 viewers and 25 active chatters giving you an “engagement” number of 125. Now imagine receiving a raid of 100 viewers in which 50 of them spammed you with emotes and messages adding 50 “phantom” views to your “engagement” count which let’s say spurs an additional 25 of your original viewers to interact in response to the raid adding 25 more “phantom” viewers to your “engagement” count. That would bring your “viewer” count to 200 and your “engagement” count to 300 AND it would last for at least 60 seconds which is longer than a lot of raiders actually stick around and that’s not including follows, cheers and subs that may also occur. Through a raid you would be able to climb higher in the category you are in and hold that position potentially long enough to organically gain additional viewers to your stream.

    As many of you know twitch has little to no discoverability so I considered ideas on how that could change. Engagement is a huge part of a strong community and this system would reward it. The idea came to me from the Pre Roll Ad function. Pre roll ads are the ads you encounter when entering a streamers stream and twitch has a way to temporarily turn them OFF. When you manually run an ad from the dashboard the Pre Roll Ads turn off for a designated amount of time based on the length of the ad you ran. So… more

19. Image Art for Games/Categories

    Let streamers suggest Image Art for categories of games that show none. If a developer/publisher is available for this game they should be able to correct it but we need a way to push for images since the games don't draw viewers in when there's no image (My issue: Final Fantasy: 20th Anniversary Edition).

20. For Game category pages, please ad a link to the Game itself

    On a Game category page, there's a description of the game, but there's no easy way to find out more about the game.

    It would be great to have a link to the games website! For example, on the Valorant page, if I've been watching a streamer and decide I want to play the game, I want to just click a link to go to https://playvalorant.com.
