1. Make umbrella tags like "LGBTQIA+" apply automatically

Already at launch we are seeing how the new 350+ identity tags can fracture communities. Streamers who used to be able to be found using the "LGBTQIA+" tag are opting to use the more specific tags within that spectrum making it harder to find them if you don't know which specific tag to look for.

If a user applies a tag like "trans", "********", "gay", etc their stream should automatically have the "LGBTQIA+" tag applied to it. This change would allow streamers to represent their content through their identity while maintaining the strength of a larger community and increase discoverability for individual streamers rather than reduce it which is what the current system is doing.

5. Add Athletic/Gym Category for people interested in Athletics!

Very simple, I just started to go to gym and I cant find anyone interested in Athletics or Gym stuff, even though I know there are twitch content creators who do athletic stuff. Sports is too general of a category many love person stuff like to watch aired content e.g. matches, fitness training, or workouts, etc... Fitness and Gym need to have also a priority!

Admin audit: Fixed typo in "Athletic"

Iv been on the platform for almost 10 years now on August 9th of 2023 ill have been on this page for 10 years and i think even if your a partner or not it would be cool to show love to folks that have supported the platform for so long no matter if they are partner or affiliate or not affiliated at all, it sould be across the board a way to show the love off the community and how great this website is over all others!

7. sorting

How about adding choices to the Sorting list, about "the Streamers list we followed" like "A to Z" , "Z to A" , "Game" and so on...

Because i think, the Sortation of only one choice from "much to little"
   is not enough!

8. Show all tags when searching channels under a category

Whenever a person searches a category such as music, a game title, or whatever, one is presented with a list of Twitch streamers that are currently streaming under said category the viewer has chosen to search through.

Currently one is unable to view all the tags that are associated with a channel under a category one is search for unless selecting each streamer individually to view all of their assigned tags.

I would like the option under one's own account settings to enable all tags to be shown after selecting a category rather than having to individually view a streamer's stream to view all of their tags because often it helps one to better associate with streamers that they would like based on certain tag preferences.

I may only want to view people streaming "raid" based content or "pvp" based content as opposed to "party" or "pve". Maybe even the option of end-game raiding rather than general raiding or perhaps prefer to watch vtubers for the day, etcetera.

By not being able to freely view all channel tags after selecting a category -- of all the streamers in the category as a whole -- then I am left with a lot of time being spent searching and quite possibly missing streamers that may have a lower viewer count but may have content that I enjoy/want to watch for that day or 'time-slot' within the day. By not allowing all tags to be viewed, your limiting the potential of smaller streamers from being recognized in a list of 100s of streamers within a streaming category deemed very popular.

By allowing registered accounts that want to watch streamers to have the option to "show-all tags within a category's search", you increase the potential of growth not only for viewers across the board but also potential use of the twitch service because even small-time streamers have a better probability of being recognized because then it will be easier to find streams based on specific tag types.

Please allow viewers to list all tags per channel within the huge list of streamer channels that is shown in the category selection, and allow the viewer to choose "verbose tag mode" or "optimized tag mode" within any category when viewing many streamers within a category one has chosen to view/search within.

9. Merge "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" and "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition" categories

Most streamers are streaming in the first category and actually playing the second title anyway. There's no reason to have separate categories, and it just splits the audience and the content creators. The SSE version is just a 64 bit platinum build of the original, kind of like a redux or remastered version of other games. It's the same game.

11. Following Side Bar

Why have the channels that you follow been moved off of the side bar. I rarely watch live and having easy and quick access to channels that I follow regardless of whether they are live or not is important.

The side bar currently only contains; your followed channels that are currently live (this is good keep it) & recommended channels (this is useless, as the front page already has this and does it better, remove it. its using valuable space unnecessarily)

Bring back followed channels to the side bar, live ones at the top and offline ones under. Nothing else.

Also once they are back on the side bar allow us to arrange them in more ways. NOT using what ever algorithm use to arrange them, it sucks. We should be able to arrange our followed channels how we see fit not it a way that seems to change with the wind. This would be very easy to do, they could be arranged; Alphabetically, most recently live/interacted with, most watched, most recently followed?, and custom (users arrange channels in whatever order they want).

I believe all these changes are extremely necessary and should be implemented as soon as possible. Thank you for your time.

12. Additional Tabs Inside Each Category

When you click into a game, you get 3 possible tabs.
    "Live Channels", "Videos", and "Clips".

Now, I know that tags exist already for this sort of thing but if we're being real.. nobody uses them. Or at least a small amount of people do.

You could expand on this idea and add categorized tabs inside the game you wish to watch.

Take Speedrunning, Modded, First Playthrough, Achievement Hunting, very common types of content you find for example.

This will allow the viewer to separate the content they want from the content they don't. And at the same time for the streamers, it puts them in a segment of their own where they are only battling other streamers doing the same thing for views. No longer is a first playthrough streamer fighting for viewers with a 200 viewer speedrunner who owns the category.

You could even take this a step further and give the partners their own tab too. Not only then does the smaller guys not have to fight the partners for views, but it helps those smaller streamers find the community that prefer a chat with less than 50 people in them. And for the viewers that do enjoy a party of 500, it's right there on the Partner tab for them to find too.

As someone who spends a lot of time on Twitch as both a viewer and a streamer. This feels like it would be perfect. And I think every smaller streamer would also appreciate being found easier because the competition is placed away from you.

Bonus: If there was a "Modded" tab, there's actually a good chance that many viewers of whatever game it is never knew mods existed for it. They'll then get curious and check. So you're taking them to a new place to explore thus keeping them on the site longer. Or achievement hunters might start watching each other in specific games to spur each other on and help each other get it. You'll be creating actual communities that live inside these sub categories.

Can we create a category for "Miniature Painters". Art is very broad, and as much as we do fit in we often get lost and overshadowed by other subjects. If Video games have specific sections for specific games wouldn't it be wonderful if Miniature Gamers/Miniature Painters would get their own?

14. Allow % Sign in Tags

With the new tag system we lost special characters in tag names, most importantly the % sign. 100% is a very common stream tag, and for speedrunners many speedrunning categories also use the % sign (e.g. Any%, Low%) and it would be great if we could tag things properly. Right now we have to choose between a couple different unusual variations to get these (100, 100Percent, HundredPercent, Hundo, etc) which limits discoverability, especially since we can only have 10 tags.

15. World of Warcraft - Dragonflight/Classic split

Hello, as a Wow viewer/streamer i'd love to see a different categories for Dragonflight (changed accordingly by future expansion releases) and Classic.

Im retail player and I really don't want to see any streams from Classic Wow. There are literally couple streams which are titled/tagged by "Retail" "DF" what I'm also doing on my stream but it should be categorized for better and quicker discoveration about what you're actually interested in.

Please twitch make this platform about gaming again. I am tired of seeing Hot tub, "body painting", and exploitive streams on the front page. I do not even need an account to see this content because it is advertised on the front page. Just think, these streams are not safe for kids who access the website. Please work towards hiding this content behind a category page or remove it from the site all together. Possibly even create a secondary platform for these "content" creators.

20. music feedback category

hey so im in a group of music streamers that stream music feedback, where producers and vocalists send in music to get feedback for so they can improve, unfortunately there has been a "feedback" category added, but this may be too wide of a spectrum, we would love to have a "music feedback" section added to twitch so that we can have our own section and not be hidden behind the load of music radio stations and dj streams, we would just be very thankful if a music feedback category could be added, thanks
