  1. This way wouldnt be necessary to use the mouse to interact with twitch channels chat if you are in fullscreen, then I could sit comfortably in my chair with only my keyboard in my lap while watching ;) The shortcut could be Alt+C

  2. I think it would be cool if Twitch partnered up with a breast cancer research charity and If users donate to charity through Twitch they could unlock a pink ribbon global badge and maybe some emotes. I think adding a badge could make it easier for users to find out about these charities and if they donate to it through Twitch they can be sure that the charity is a legitimate foundation.

I'm not very good at photoshop but I made a concept for the badge.

  4. Here's an idea on how to moderate an overly active chat full of spam, streamer bashing, and overall bullying without having to rely heavily on a streams moderators. Have a series of settings for chat division based on the viewers sub tier or lack there of. For example: In a stream that has over 100,000 subscribers, simply puting it into sub only mode does nothing, instead have an option that puts it into sub "tier 2" mode which now grants subscribers of "tier 3 " and "tier 2" privacy to their own chat room and have the rest of the…

  5. Twitch chat in popular channels is more about reactions than it is about actual chat. Unfortunately - as fun as chat spam can be - it makes moderation difficult and completely destroys any semblance of discussion that the streamer or chatters may want to have. r9k mode was an answer but, unfortunately, breaks down the way certain chat bots work and ruins, rather than facilitates, certain forms of chat that streamers may want.

I propose that streamers be given the option to enable a customizable "popular messages" feature for their chat. Such a feature would catch any message spam and…

  6. Since twitch has grown in size, many people have realized that streamers can no longer engage with their community the way they used to. Even with subscriber-only mode turned on, due to the massive increase in twitch prime subs, most long time streamers' chats are still filled with spam. You should give streamers a mode that limits the amount of viewers that can talk in chat, giving priority to those who have been subbed the longest(including or not including prime subs), and then those who has been following the longest. This gives people who have been watching a streamer for…

  7. Many times when a chat is more quiet it can be hard for a streamer and other chat users to know when the last message, or a specific message, was attached. This can sometimes cause confusion especially if the streamer has added a delay and doesn't see a message for several minutes. I think that, like Facebook Messenger, you should be able to hover over a specific message/user to know exactly when it was posted relative to your own time zone. It's a very simple fix that I think a lot of users and streamers would appreciate.

  9. Current system of chats on massive streams is a big problem. Unreadable and full of spam.

I was thinking one of a possible fixes it should be to make sub rooms of chat. For example

Stream General chat can be splitted into:

    chat-en-1

    chat-en-2

    chat-en-3

    chat-es-1

    chat-es-2

    chat-ru-1

    chat-ru-2

I dont know what kind of structure are you using about it.

    What do you think?

  10. For example:
You ask a question in a chat of a streamer. You get an answer like "@name answer to question", but you could not read the answer because there are 10.000 people chatting or you went somewhere else. My suggestion is that you get a private message when your name is mentioned so you can read the answer anytime.

  12. Recently I had an experience with something that i have seen plenty of people complaining about. Just like the option that disallows chat for those who havent followed for a certain amount of time, there should be an option that disallows people who have made their account for a certain amount of time. This is mostly because people who specifically come to your channel to harass always have a backup plan for being banned. People can simply be banned, make or go to an alternate account, verify a 5 second-made email (if necessary by the streamer) and then go right…

  13. Could you make it chat box more customizable? I thinking mostly about possiblility ofchanging it's place even horizontally on screen. In this version if i have chat with someone chat box is blocking some part of stream screen and it's a huge downside for me. For expample no minimap on League streams.

  14. I love using the /me command to highlight the whole phrase in the color of your your username, but there are times where I only want to highlight one or two words or highlight half a phrase. I would also like it if you made a bold, italics, strike through, etc. commands (For example Bold Italic Bold and Italic ~~Strike through~~ etc.) available for use inside of stream chats.

  15. In stream option it would be a list element with options to add new items to this list.

List name : Slow Chat Based On Viewers [+]

Would allow the option for larger streams to increase the duration of slow chat based on a threshold of viewers. The more people that join the longer the slow chat duration. This would assist with automatic chat control, and allow streamers the peace of mind that when they stream later and viewer count goes down that the restrictions placed on chat would automatically get lifted. Option to add threshold would also be ideal.…

  16. develop a feature that allows broadcaster select specific person from the viewer list and do a video call with the person. it will be useful for the broadcaster to do direct interaction if anything happen such as a huge amount of donation, giveaway or anything else.

for example, the broadcaster select 1 of the viewer, left click the name and it will give an option to contact the viewer directly (webcam+voice chat) something like that.

  17. This idea has been in my head ever since the release of the Golden Kappa.

Much like how we currently has sub-only mode and emote-only mode, we should have a Kappa-only mode, where any variations of the kappa emotes can be posted!

Whether it's a sub emote, bttv emote, or a global emote, it can only allow emotes to be passed that have the kappa in it, and includes variation such as KaRappa or Keepo!

In a chat i moderate we have a daily Kappa check at the peak of the stream, to see if anyone has the golden kappa,…

  18. I believe with the relevance of mobile platforms overtaking the web, emojis should also be allowed on Twitch with emote only mode allowed.

    Emojis are emotes, too!

  19. It would be nice to be able to type snippets of programming source code into chat.

For example, `@next += 1` would become <code>@next += 1</code> in the outputted HTML of the chat, which works great at first glance.

This would be a great feature for the #programming subchannel on Creative. Many programming sigils and tokens are meaningful in chat, so these would be ignored if inside a code tag.

  20. Streamers should be able to ask a questions on which everyone watching them could answer. For example: Should i play Caitlyn or Jhin? Answers: "caitlyn" and "Jhin". And there would be a pop up which would allow streamer to see the score of both votings.
