1. Client-side timestamps and message cooldown timer seem highly exploitable.

   So, I was chatting and I noticed my timestamps were 7 minutes ahead of everyone else's. I re-synced my system clock via NTP...but then I wasn't able to chat for ~7 minutes because my previous message was sent from what my computer considered seven minutes IN THE FUTURE, triggering the flood protection message cooldown.

   I imagine it works in the other direction as well, in which case there's no way this isn't somehow exploitable.

   What other time-based protection is handled client-side in defiance of all reason? The timer to be let into follower-only chat after following? Moderation timeouts? I can't imagine that's the case, but why would the message cooldown timer be client-side in the first place???

2. Link to the rules when message is deleted

   When a mod deletes a message because of a rules violation of the steam a link to those rules should be in the deleted message. This could help the mods in a few ways. They would not have to spam messages in the chat about not using caps or spamming with a message that has words all in caps. they could just delete the message and it have a link in the deleted message so the user is not left to say, "WTF, why was my message deleted". Then they have to be told to read the rules, it is an extra step that could be taken care of with some fairly light coding (I would think, IDK what your codebase looks like).

4. Two separate chat areas.

   Change the chat to two separate areas, one for question and answers for classes, and one for just chatting during class. Also the option to save the chat for class questions and answers. Thank you.

5. Puedes chatear en 1 s 1 d

   Hola.
   A la hora de querer participar en el chat de un streamer (chat modo lento), me deja solo enviar un solo comentario y después twitch o algo me bloquea o banea y no puedo comentar mas... me sale el mensaje de "Puedes chatear en 1 s 1 d" no se si es un bug, o el tiempo de espera para volver a mandar otro mensaje es ridiculo... "una semana"

   Me comunique con los moderadores del streamer que estaba viendo y me comentan que ellos no me aplicaron ningún ban o sanción y sospechan que es algo mas...

   Demás esta decir que nunca falte el respeto o hice comentarios fuera de lugar... solo pasó que al querer seguir comentando, no me permitió mas.

6. Chat aktualisiert nicht

   Im Moment hab ich das Problem das keiner der Twitchchats nach einer bestimmten Zeit automatisch aktualisiert, als Streamer/Mod muss man dieses manuell refreshen. Egal ob auf der PS4x, übers IPhone oder übers IPad. Mehrere Anfragen des Supportes waren vergebens. Wann genau wird dieses Problem gefixt?

7. Voice Chat Viewing, but no conversations

   Would love to have voice chat mode, where the viewers are basically like a movie audience, where reactions like laughing are allowed, but no conversations allowed and are closely monitored by moderators of the chat. It would connect the chat a lot more.

   To repro: Type one of the following words into the editor, then hit the spacebar: __proto__, constructor, hasOwnProperty, isPrototypeOf, propertyIsEnumerable, toLocaleString, toString, valueOf

   To fix: always use hasOwnProperty & getOwnProperty to access an object's properties, not brackets.

9. remove followers mode for a duration

   Add a feature to allow 'Followers Only' mode to be disabled, for a duration, equal to the 'Followers-Only chat, or a stated 'duration'. Maybe even have the option to automate it following a raid / host.

   This would help streamers who get raided / hosted to allow the new viewers to interract with chat immediately and for that duration, in the hope that the new viewers will follow.

12. Opção para mutar microfone dos streammer e escutar apenas o que ao fundo, seja música ou som do jogo.

    A twitch poderia criar uma opção para deixar os usuários mais confortáveis, já que, tem streammer que falam palavras de baixo escalão e para quem tem família, não dá para ficar escutando essas palavras por conta de filhos e demais familiares. Poderiam colocar essa opção de " silenciar microfone do streamer" e escutar apenas o que estiver ao fundo, seja uma música que o streamer colocou ou o som ambiente do game.

13. UX customizer/Additional badge system.

    I actually don't like when a streamer acknowledges me in any type of stream. I tend to not want to stay, but, if there was a way to let a streamer know so I could still stay, that can help both of us
    Or I'm watching with family on the TV or just by myself it's jarring if you're doing chores or work. Scary even. Maybe a way to say "TV" or "Casual" or "theatre mode" as if you the audience member is sitting to watch (but not participate).

    It resembles going to a concert.

    • some want to be backstage.
    • some want to be in the back.
    • some people are just browsing.
    • some people want front row seats.

    concert terms should ease the development process in a possible automated bot specifically for when someone remembers and utilizes the terms. Especially since even the ticketing system could resemble bits.

    Monetization wise, I just thought, what if you could pay for more access to the creator in a unified way to also not encourage privacy or parasocial concerns...

    everyone usually knows their boundaries at a concert so there's no way to misinterpret.

    while different from the community setting, the option is still "theatre mode".

    or a particular "mode" a user and audience could "customize" their experience.

    Experience is key.

    More of my family notice some issues with Twitch and that counts in trying to unify the Amazon brand and PR. Twitch can have an edge over Youtube by appearing more "niche" but also "mainstream" with "customized"

    so many tweaks to UX could keep people on longer, unify the apps increasing value for the TV home based systems, PC systems, mobile...

    "Mobile streamer Mode" for streamers who primarily do live adjacent content. seemingly incentive people to not use instagram/youtube/snapchat/discord.

    if we could have discord level chats through individualized UX design.

    "Karaoke Mode" karaoke partnerships.

    "Just 10 Seconds Mode" an encrypted custom alternative to Tik Tok or a wilder Twitch form of it.

    UX design of amazon.com shopping personally is tacky. Through Twitch and from those we already pay and somewhat trust? Or we just aa vonsumers hate wasting time and money. There.

    Travel streams need notice of speed and coverage. UX tailored for their streams means safety likely a delayed stream request as a default, non location sharing? depends on what the streamer is willing to do.

14. Stop clearing text in chat input when replying to a thread

    When you start typing a message in chat that is intended as a reply to a thread, but forget to click the thread reply button, your message is cleared once you do click the reply button.

    This seems like bad UX, why not just keep the message value in place.

    Steps to produce -

    1. Type a message
    2. Click reply to a thread
    3. Watch the message disappear and need to be re-typed or copied and pasted.

    With streamers wanting to promote a game or socials for example and they have a bot doing it every so often I feel like bot messages can go unnoticed. I came up with a simple idea to help make them stand out more as showing here:

16. elo chat (ranked games like (league/dota/overwatch and so on)

    Lets say you are streaming league and you like to interact with chat but u get these bronze/silver players that are trying to coach u and backseat u in the chat and that just makes you angry and tilted.
    if a streamer had a option to filter chat messages by the accounts verified ELO in that game.
    Lets say Thebausffs streams league and he dosent want to read some of the messages lower elo people are typing, he could only FILTER for himself that he wants to only see the messages from a certain elo (lets say D1+)
    but everyone in the chat is able to chat, its only filtered for him so he only sees the d1 messages and after he relaxes a bit or when the game ends he just turns the filter off for himself and he is able to see the chat in its entirety.

17. TwitchFridge badge

    It would be really nice to have a TwitchFridge badge for every artist that made it to the majestic and very white TwitchFridge so people will actually know that they are artists and it could be very usefull for small creators as me so actually other artist will recognise them and spread the community.

19. Chat alerts

    The chat box should have the ability to chime a noise once anyone says something like aim used to work years ago. Obviously if you have tons of chatters messages constantly, this would probably be not used but for small streaming channels who get a few messages per stream, it would be great to hear when someone writes in chat rather than constantly having to look at an empty chat for messages.
