How it works:
  • Choose a relevant category for your idea and check to see if any other users have already submitted this suggestion before creating your own
  • Be clear with your suggestion, provide examples and solutions to the problem you are posing. Suggestions without actionable feedback may be closed without comment
  • Upvote existing ideas, as opposed to creating multiple similar requests
  • Be sure to share your suggestion with others to gain more support!
  • Note: Suggestions are not guarantees that we will take action on an idea. We will try our best to communicate why an idea may not work, but may not always be able to share that information.
  • Titles that are unclear or unnecessarily vulgar may be reworded to better reflect the request for ease of discovery

  2. Hey Twitch team, First off—thank you for all the recent clipping tool upgrades! The new editing options and especially the vertical clips feature have been fantastic for creators

That said, there’s just one small but high-impact addition that would make a huge difference: an optional auto-bleep for profanity

Vertical clips are designed to be shared directly to TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, etc., but even one swear word often gets them restricted, demonetized, or blocked entirely. That basically makes the clip unusable for cross-platform growth, even though the moment itself might be gold

    Proposed solution!

    Add a simple toggle in…

  3. Dear Twitch Team,

a group of Streamer/Youtuber streamsniping multiple streams on twitch and I quote "To make their life harder". This hateful conduct doesn't only take the fun of streaming, but also creating discomfort for whole chat by ruining the content.

Banning those user is for sure an option and you can say "Stop Banned Users from Viewing Your Stream", but this feature is losing it's purpose as soon as they log out and watch "anonymously" or just with another browser. Therefore further action is needed for security measurements.

Just give us the option "only logged in user can watch…

  4. I would like Twtich to add a simple "remove/delete whipser message" function that removes a message you sent in whispers to someone so the other person can't see it anymore. Almost all other forms of direct messages have this and it makes no sense why Twitch whispers wouldn't have it too. For privacy resons if nothing else.

  5. Please allow Moderators of a stream to see the markers that a streamer makes.
Mods will sometimes go through VODs to help make clips, but if a streamer makes a marker for a clip, we're unable to see it unless the streamer takes the extra steps of giving us the timestamps they'd like clipped.
Giving Mods the ability to see a streamer's markers would make clipping a VOD a lot easier for both streamers and moderators.

  6. I think it would be useful to have the ability to stream on separate audio channels for example: one channel for the game audio and one for the microphone audio or one for the music and one for the in game audio, so that people have the ability to mute a single channel or reduce the volume of one if for example the in game audio is too loud

  7. Recently, the mobile iOS app has been automatically changing the video bitrate.

To not burn through my data plan, I keep it at a certain lower bitrate.

Also, aren't you trying to keep you costs low?

So why the F*** did you, multiple times in the last few days, automatically switch it UP to higher bitrates?

And there's NO OPTION to DISABLE it.

Keep the function, some people will like it, just give an option to disable it please.

  8. Please consider making it so that users must have an account and be logged in to view someone's channel/stream. Banning someone doesn't currently stop them from just logging out or going incognito to keep watching someone. This would make it harder for stalkers in particular to keep tabs on their victims.

  9. Can we have a separate version on just chatting for sexualy explicit content, whenever viewing the just chatting tab it's nothing but sexually explicit things. Now that it is explicitly allowed by Twitch, why not make it it's own category so just chatting can actually just be chatting.

  10. There should be an appeal system when it comes to emotes getting rejected.

There has been multiple times where I paid to get an emote created, and made sure beforehand that it wasn't going against the guidelines. Yet they give a general reason, but it doesn't align. Allowing one person's perception to be the only answer isn't right.

  11. Just an idea that the person who is banned from a channel should be informed of who banned them from the channel (broadcaster or moderator of the channel) and the reason included (if a reason was given).

This shouldn't just be for the mods and broadcaster of the channel. This wouldn't be shown to those who aren't banned from the channel unless they're also banned from the same channel.

    "<User 1>, <User 2>, etc. are banned from <channel name> by <broadcaster/mod's name> because of <applicable reasons>"

This would help the person understand why they're banned and if it was an…

  12. Many streamers does timeout on mods as joke or redeem by channel points.

But is a hassle to have to put it back mod and editor on some of them.

Would be better to have an option to the mod/editor role to be not removed on timeout, and act like the vips who can be timmed out without losing the role.

  13. The Twitch Rule enforcement system needs to be updated. The hardline enforcement is incompatible with the "per-case" approach when it comes to users being reported on the platform.

I believe that the system in its current state makes it too easy for bad actors to abuse the reporting system and use it as a means to remove streamers for violations that didn't happen, and I also believe that it makes it harder for streamers to defend the violations (via appeals), as when a streamer is suspended/banned they cannot review their VODs to see if or even when a violation took…

  15. Many streams have fun aspects such as alerts or scenes to celebrate events. Such as flashing lights or strobes like a rave to celebrate.
Or other music streams center their whole channel around these rave type imagery.

Flashing lights and colors is one of the biggest trigger for seizures for those with epilepsy.

I propose giving streamers a feature just like “flag this channel as mature content” they can “flag this channel as containing flashing imagery” or something of the effect where just as when you enter a mature stream a pop up shows stating
    “This stream has flashing lights…

  16. If someone is banned from a channel (not blocked) they should not be able to follow the channel. This should help limit the amount of bot spam and harassment attacks by making bad actors not be able trigger alerts or flood channels with follow bots.

Another option would be to have an option to block banned channels automatically and having ban apeals as a separate form rather than just messaging the channel.

It is beyond frustrating to get 20+ bots follow you in half an hour each with a simular name, some with blantant slurs.

  17. As a mod for an LGBTQ+ and trans streamer, we have been hit with a ton of followbots coming in and spamming chat with hateful intent. I had an idea for a command that would ban all accounts that have followed in a recent timeframe.

For example, (/banall 10) would ban all accounts that have followed in the last 10 minutes. This would greatly reduce the amount of time that moderators have to spend on banning all accounts separately. I spent an hour last night doing so, and while I had backup to monitor chat, I know that many smaller…

  18. immediate permanent bans shouldn't be allowed. give a warning in whispers. if warning appears in chat it can be easily missed. also if the person doesn't understand what they did wrong have it explained first instead of permanent banned. good people can get permanently banned to easily.

  19. Twitch platform has thousands of users who are underage kids. Based on that, hot tub streamers should be moved and separated to different domain ieg. twitch.adults.tv so that you will not get sued from promoting pedophilia on your website.
Young adults think that hot tub streamers do soft **** and there is a paper thin line to pedophilia and it is ********* that Twitch allows this phenomena to continue on their website.
