Sensitive social issues Bullet points need to be removed, not 'clarified'
it doesn't matter how much you 'clarify' the point of the final two bullets, they are not fit for the political category especially when contrasted with the other things in the category. Putting peoples rights in there opens up marginalized groups to hate and bigotry. We want the points REMOVED and twitch's response is completely missing the point the community has been making.
At what point does something go from 'personal experience' to 'too political'? if a streamer talks about their own right to an abortion being taken away where they live, is that personal experience or political? it is entirely subjective. Is a trans person talking about their experiences with HRT 'fact based'? Who determines this? The bigots who will undoubtedly mass report said streamers to shut them up?
"intermittent mentions of (...) sensitive social issues are not required to have the politics and sensitive social issues label" how long is intermittent? most streamers i watch like to have small conversations with chat about social issues, how long can these chats go on for?
I don't understand why you refuse to just take out the 'Sensitive social issues' point. It's what the user base is asking you to do and it is the right thing to do.

I don't think talking about being gay, or LGBT is at all political or 'sensitive'. Sensitive to who exactly?

I agree wholeheartedly with the original poster. The removal of the last two bullet points is the only acceptable option. No amount of clarifications will discourage people who are determined to use the leeway given by the vague and nebulous definitions of both. Nonwhite and non-cishet minorities deserve to be able to speak about their experiences and existences on whatever terms they choose without it being labeled as political.

This is unacceptable and you all at twitch know this.
The lgbtgia+ community is not something that should be hidden or labeled as "sensitive" when it comes to topics just because some fascist crybaby are offended by the topic. This is someone's life and personal rights you all are trying to strip away as u keep claiming to be an allied company and claim to stand for the safety of your users and thier community.
Twitch do better be better be the change and remove this and stop bowing out like cowards. Show this community and its allies you are what you claim to be and not just a fair weather version of it. -

Do not obey fascists. Do not give them tools to label or silence content that their regime would censor. Remove the bullet.

Twitch get your act together you should know better all this stuff you all like to post about wanting to "protect" your users and you make this a point that's sad and pathetic.
We will not be silenced! We will not be put in the corner! We fight! We will be heard and we will be treated as human beings!
LGBTQIA+ is not something to be labelled as "sensitive" because some bigots can't be decent, compassionate, empathetic people and get triggered when someone is gay or trans. .

It doesn't matter how you try to clarify the wording, it is still targeted censorship of what should be acknowledged as basic human rights.

We DO NOT WANT these categories. We're not second class to be siphoned off to little cubbies to make racists, sexists, homophobes, transphobes, etc comfortable. THAT is who you are catering to. How can you define whose lived experience is acceptable without the label? How can you keep it from being abused to harass, troll and mass report streamers. The only "sensitive issues" are those who need to learn to leave us Well Enough Alone living our lives and having our communities.

Though twitch can pretend to fail to understand, it is quite clear the "Sensitive social issues" bullet points are unwelcome in the userbase.
Twitch can try to clarify them as much as they want, however doing so is pointless.
These rules are wrapped in legal jargon and vague wording such as "Intermittent" and "too political", having rules like this does not make the platform a better or safer place.
It does the opposite, it facilitates bigots' ability to bully minorities and LGBT.If Twitch wishes to be politically neutral, there should not be discriminatory rules or anti-LGBT+ guidelines, as doing so is in itself taking a political stance.
These bullet points must be removed.I would go a step further and say anti-hate crime rules should be added instead.

As I said last time:
The topics picked out as 'sensitive' are telling.
Pro-police sentiment in times when police brutality is in the public eye is not "sensitive"
Pro-gun sentiment is not "sensitive", even if we once again hear about school shootings every week
anti-lgbt proxy issues are not "sensitive", even though they directly contribute towards hate directed at minority groups. You know what is "sensitive"?
If I respond to any of these issues (as the main focus of my content) and say "this was likely motivated by racism", or advocate for people's safety and incidentally discuss reproductive health, or call out the blatant transphobia/homophobia/queerphobia etc.If Twitch does not want to be a political platform, then it shouldn't be taking a stance on what is and is not politics.

Remove the last 2 "sensitive social issues" bullet points. Guidelines are vague as it is, we need further clarity. If we are not safe on your platform, just tell us. Then you'll see how many people you lose revenue from. A lot of them BIG PEOPLE that earn Twitch LOTS of money!
You cannot help the nazis and claim innocence. You cannot help the bigots and claim no harm. You cannot help diminish hate raids and then do this ******** where you marginalize and tell us we're a 'sensitive social / political issue.' No, we're ACTUAL people, we HAVE been for over a hundred years. WE ARE HUMANS, WE DESERVE RIGHTS AS MUCH AS EVERYONE ELSE.
TAKE OUT THOSE LAST TWO BULLET POINTS IN THE SENSITIVE SOCIAL ISSUES SECTION, DAN CLANCY! YOU HAVE THE POWER!

The final two bullet points addressing "sensitive social issues" need to be removed, not clarified. Your "clarification" does nothing to address the actual issues with them. The guidelines are still vague and ill defined and entirely at the mercy of arbitrary judgement. You are still deciding to classify human rights and people's existences to be in the same category as war crimes and the entire system is ripe for abuse by malicious actors.

You can't help the nazis and then claim you're not guilty, there's no coming back from this once you've enabled harm on the platform, you will be held responsible

I'm so tired of Twitch and literally anyone in power not listening and instead spinning their BS with a different coat of paint "oh we're not the bad guys, see?" Put your **** pants on, because I see you helping the nazis and you're not getting away from this unless you backpedal fully

You can't "clarify" your way out of discriminatory, anti-LGBTQ+ measures. Remove them.
