Allow 'twitch teams' to be created and joined by twitch affiliates

Old topic but would very much like for this to be a thing, part of a small gamer community and being able to rep a team would be a huge benefit for our viewers discovering everyone else.

This is the number one feature I would like to see. I have been an affiliate for 3 years, and is the number one thing I have been sad about not having access to. For a streamer like myself, becoming a partner is not really feasible due to work and health issues. But I have a solid community of people who would love to come together as a team and we just simply can't. Would love to see this added for us.

Thor (PirateSoftware) has created a similar post, developing and suggesting some ideas and different approaches.

Would love this feature to be added, a lot of affiliates are passionate about creating spaces, and this would definitely improve on that

This would allow for greater adoption of the feature.
Being involved in a small Minecraft server, with several affiliates but no partners, we would have liked to create a Twitch team for our small group to help our viewers discover the other players in the team.
However, this wasn't possible unless one of us became partner.
It does not need to be available for ALL affiliates. It could be unlocked with an achievement, e.g. an affiliate reaching 50 average viewers on 5 separate streams.

I would love to be able to have our own twitch team if you affiliate

Disagree: There are already piles of teams that do very little in the way of community building. Getting to affiliate requires stats that indicate a streamer is just getting into Twitch streaming and has done only minor networking. Partner status, though terribly subjective in its opaque application approval at least has stats requirements that show a deeper willingness to 'play the game' and network with viewers, streamers, and build communities.

I like this idea. I am currently a member of two stream teams created by absent partners - literally absent, like they do not stream anymore, and run completely by the affiliate streamers they gave the teams to. There are a bunch of affiliates currently that are friends of Twitch Partners that were given one of the two teams a partner gets. I say make it official so all affiliates have this ability. If necessary limit the size, but even so it is a good idea.

We are an online radio, constituted as a non-profit organisation in promotion and diffusion of electronic music in all its ambits and we would like to have a community so that our DJs who broadcast are known.

Why is this still not a thing!

As of now only Twitch Partners are able to create their own Twitch Teams, which is unfair on Affiliates who may also want to set up communities of Streamers built into Twitch itself. Please consider this idea as it will encourage more Streamers to become active in communities they are able to set up and join themselves and twitch as a whole, thank you :)

Myself and a small group of mostly affiliate streamers have come together to run a small team dedicated to helping out with support and advice to new streamers and those looking to get into the world of streaming within our gaming categories.
Whilst I can perhaps appreciate why only Partners are able to set up Teams in Twitch , I feel this is doing a disservice to affiliates who can and do put in as much time and dedication to their streaming and may perhaps benefit from visibly becoming part of a team via Twitch, as I have seen how this helps Partners who have done the same.
So, my suggestion is to open Team setup to those who are also affiliated with Twitch, as whilst they are just starting out on their streaming journey, they have clearly already shown a commitment to developing their content via this platform.

Ich finde das Affiliates auch die Chance haben sollten mindestens ein eigenes Team erstellen zu dürfen! Gleiches Recht für ALLE!

I agree, it would be very nice to have access to a stream team in a small community without a partner in it.
Maybe limit the creation to a minimum amount of affiliates who want to join?
Thanks a lot :)

Let affiliates create a stream team to help build a community with other small streamers to help build each other's channels.

Anyone that is at least a affiliate should be able to create a Twitch Team to expand their community or team they have formed. I wanted to create a Twitch team for my esports team but I couldn't since I am not partner.

There need to be a option for small streamers to make a team. Me and a few of my friends want to make a stream team but cant because its for partners onlt to make the team. One of use is affiliate and he should be able to make a team.
