Make all AI features optional, and opt-out by default.
For any features on Twitch which use AI, allow all creators to opt in or opt out of them individually, and set the default to Opt Out for all new AI features. We as creators should have the choice whether to use AI or not on our channels. If we do not want to use it at all, it's important for us to be able to have that choice, AND for us not to be opted in by default.

Look Twitch....... get your S*** TOGETHER. NO ONE WANTS THIS AUTOMATICALLY TURNED ON. IF YOU CAN'T FIGURE THAT OUT, THEN DON'T F***** EXIST. IT IS LITERALLY NOT THAT HARD. USE YOUR **** BRAINS.

Why would you want to feed your goodwill reputation into a shredder just to gather training data? What LLM are you building that is more valuable than millions of hours of unpaid content created by users? Who will buy a machine's wonky dreaming of playing video games instead of the genuine person to person experience?

Why do you default optional items to be automatically on... it should be automatically off until the user chooses to opt in to the optional feature. Also AI can go die.... it's making stupid people more stupid and killing the creative field.

Ai should always be optional. No way this should be the auto setting.

I'm gonna take a wild guess and say the "opt out" switch doesn't actually work lol. I'll take my billion dollar payout for calling it in advance in cash please, thanks

No one asked for this and yet it's still shoved down our throats.

If you know that no one would opt in for the service, then WHY IN THE BLUE **** ARE YOU IMPLEMENTING THE SERVICE??????? Please, for the love of all that is holy, think about this for TWO SECONDS instead of letting "number go up" guide every single decision you make. AI is bad, AI is dangerous, and trying to sneakily shove it down people's throats is the scummiest thing you could conceivably do.

AI has no place in a creative space. Instead of trying to lie to us that these "features" will "help" us grow, just tell us you want to cut 90% of us out and not have to pay, at least that'll help you save on the sugar you're trying coat your fist in before you hit us with it.

The idea that a “feature” is optional but automatically opts everyone in to use all their personal data is a violation of privacy not to mention free will but if you cared about your users none of you would be in a position of power.
Also did you forget you got an influx of users bc they left YouTube when they were forcibly opted-in to train AI off their data and streams or did ChatGPT fail to mention that to you?

Forcing us to opt-in because you admitted that no one would opt-in PROVES OUR POINT! WE. DO. NOT. WANT. THIS!

what an awful decision. even as just an occasional streamer i hate how hard the site seems to be in a downward spiral. my friends that stream full time are already looking to jump ship to competitors.
this really stinks, what an awful situation of twitch's own making.

You're gonna ***** yourself on copyright. What about people streaming games with union actors who have AI protections? You think they're gonna want to feed into the machine?
You're shooting yourself in the foot. Nobody wants this, and your lawyers won't want it either.

Not only do I want the creators to be able to opt out of AI, I want it to be listed somewhere when a creator uses AI so I can determine if I want to continue supporting that creator. At a bare minimum, when a creator opts in to train AI or use generative AI through twitch should have some sort of warning/heads up.

I have a nephew who is underage.
He needs parental consent to use the site. This applies to all users 13-17. This is data scraping of those individuals and has not asked for users to agree with amended terms of data usage.
They said the lawyers said it was okay, but I disagree. Something tells me Twitch needs new lawyers, because they seem to be outsourcing critical thinking. (Probably to that AI legal-help that hallucinates laws and legal cases.) This clearly falls under breach of EU's GDPR, which requires "privacy-by-default" settings.
If this setting is on for a single user in that age bracket, then it is in direct violation of those laws.

the idea that literally any site now can do this without any possible detteriment at all is, well, completely dystopian and remindz me of a villan from any apocalypse video game ever.
