Make all AI features optional, and opt-out by default.
For any features on Twitch which use AI, allow all creators to opt in or opt out of them individually, and set the default to Opt Out for all new AI features. We as creators should have the choice whether to use AI or not on our channels. If we do not want to use it at all, it's important for us to be able to have that choice, AND for us not to be opted in by default.

Setting this as OPT OUT by default is an attempt of entrapment.
You're taking advantage of users hoping that they aren't paying attention and will "choose" to stay OPT'D IN."If it was opt in, nobody would opt in."
This platform continues to show that it's not afraid to practice shady business practices, and it's insulting that it thinks we're not aware.Generative AI is theft and I do not consent to feeding it.
The idea that I can chat in someone else's chat, who did opt in, and my messages can STILL be used is horrible. All it does is disincentivize me from being a chatter unless the streamer has disclosed that they've OPT'D OUT, and I assume the same can be said for others.

"If we didn't opt everyone in automatically, no one would opt-in"
"Well if we told everyone that we have a guy stabbing people **********, no one would want to get their *** stabbed"
Get rid of this AI ****, no one wants it, and anyone saying anything to the contrary is a twitter bot.

This should absolutely be optional. The point of Twitch is the human interaction, we don't want genAI scraping streams and ruining that. Do better, Twitch.

Generative AI is killing our planet. This shouldn’t even be a thing on this platform, let alone one where the default is to opt-in.

Opt out should be the default. No one wants their content to be used for training

I'd rather have no AI attached to my content at all. This is not fair to automatically force everyone to be opt-in. The choice should be to turn this on.

Also make it truly an opt out! The fact even opting out has an asterisk that it can be used in AI anyway? No. No AI. No default. Just no.
Edit: AND IF ANY CHANNEL USES AI IT SHOULD HAVE A MANDATORY LABEL -

I did not consent to my streams being used to train AI. Even though I have the ability to turn it off, leaving it on at default is not okay. I also think this just hurts the platform more than anything. People come to twitch for authentic interactions with human beings.

The fact that something that is such a troublesome point of debate is not being declared and people are only finding out through 3rd parties, isn't acceptable.

This has no business being a default opt-in. Assuming permission to scrape free “training” from streamers is disgusting. We’ve already seen the devastating personal and financial impact of AI creating deepfakes of people’s likeness, voice, and stealing the work of real humans. What next? Twitch suing streamers for “copyright infringement” when AI creates fake streamers? IG is already full of AI accounts impersonating people and small businesses. We do not want this!

Agreed, I don't want these features, the fact that I have to find out about them being defaulted to on by random friends is wild. This should have been a major announcement that was emailed to EVERYONE. Why have I received no email about it?
KEEP IT AND OTHER AI FEATURES OFF BY DEFAULT, PLEASE LET US CHOOSE IF WE WANT TO OPT IN.

You should be using clearer terms that aren't broad and generic like "AI". Please be specific about what it is you are doing and make it opt-in if it is generative training. I think most streamers understand why it is used for things like AutoMod, to understand how to identify abuse in chat, but in this world where data leaks are "when" not "if", data training on our streams will be leaked eventually, and it'd be nice to know that anyone who is a victim of that at least opted in.

Please make this opt-in ONLY. You ignored the majority of the community's concerns and pleas to not implement this. I know to a degree you are bound by Amazon's insanity, but the very LEAST you could do is have it turned off on accounts by default.
AI, particularly GenAI, is destroying the planet and GenAI is THEFT.
What do you have to say about any channels where the creator may have passed away and cannot opt-out from their content being used?
Opt-out only covering your channel and not you chatting in someone else's is also abhorrent, that needs immediate changes.
Streamers' identities, content and income are NOT something you can just use for a free training model no one asked for AND many people were against.
Please do not ignore this.

Stop with this Gen-AI **** and incorporating it into things, especially without informing everyone up front. It's absolutely disgusting and this program is. Many streamers voices is all they really have to convey and for V-Tubers especially, it's the main thing other than the model. I personally do not want a AI generated version of my voice being used elsewhere.

We are your streamers, and we don't want AI training on our streams. If someone wants to opt in, let them. Nobody can agree in ignorance. Turn the setting off by default.

absolutely disgusting, if you are going to do this, either make it opt in, or at the VERY LEAST inform the users. You KNOW that ai voices are used in scam calls, people will be able to use data of streamers voices to contact their family or friends posing as the streamer, this is insane to volunteer this information yourselves and disgusting

please don’t act like meta. give us the option to opt in, not the choice you already made for us.
streamers’ content is our income and our identity, not free training data for a model none of us asked for. this should never have been on by default, especially without a clear announcement before it went live.
and the “opt out only covers your channel” thing needs fixing too. If I opt out but chat in someone else’s stream, my words are still fair game. That’s not real consent, that’s a loophole.
Do better, twitch. -
