This is the most stupidest thing to ever even be implemented on this platform, and its clear that you're trying to use people's content without any sort of choice or consent, for the sake of Amazon??? This is just making the website even less inviting for new creators. Literally NO ONE who is MORAL and a DECENT HUMAN BEING has asked for this feature. NO ONE likes this feature. You only added this feature cause Amazon paid you to do it. Sheep behavior that's blinded by income and not community what-so-ever. Really ******* disappointing.

I have opted out, but I am now going to be looking at streaming on another platform, as I do not trust Twitch to abide by my decision.

If no one would have used it if was optin, then maybe it shouldn't have been a feature at all.

Everyone who sees this should make sure they go in their settings and Opt Out. Even if you are not a streamer. Make it known that you DO NOT want Gen AI being trained off of your or your favorite streamers' content. The setting was Opt In by default, go disable it!

This was a scum move by twitch to not tell us and have the button set to on in the first place. Without content creators you are NOTHING. Start treating them with the respect they deserve no matter how big or small their audience is.

Twitch. you are not listening. the petition at this time is over 14,000 signatures. make the default setting for training your generative AI "Opt Out". generative AI has been used to reduce jobs in the creative sector, which is 100% of your streamers and therefore your default income. companies don't pay money to be advertised on channels with no viewers, and that's all you'll have left if your streamers leave.

Genuinely disgusted that I got a DM from a friend telling me this had been enabled by default on my channel today with no prior asking nor even a simple announcement it had happened.

You see the constant global outrage towards these types of features and choose to implement them anyway in the hopes of simply making a quick buck. Deplorable.

not only is it opt-in by default, but also had already been training off of our previous streams/vods before the option was even given, thats just absolutely scummy and disgusting!

Generative AI sucks, big Bezos wants to use us as AI training when we don't want it we can opt out but the fact that it's based on if a streamer has opted out or not, if they haven't out messages will still be used for AI training no thanks twitch

Nobody wants this. Nobody is happy that this is being implemented. Tricking every user into forcefully opting in to training for AI is extremely scummy and a horrible way to extend the life of a failing fad that should have been squashed in the idea phase, but for some reason despite its sheer unreliability for the energy it uses has nearly every tech firm and rich CEO in a collective mania. Get rid of it or we will seriously consider exploring alternatives, and encouraging people to create alternatives if there is none.

Twitch has thrown its community in the garbage with this new update. Have they forgotten that its the streamers who MAKE their platform a platform? There would be nothing without us. Deeply embarrassing for Twitch as a company. I only streamed on Twitch because it lacked the AI surveillance that Youtube has, now it has no function to me.

I abosulely hate this default. No data should be automatically added. Even with opt in it should be clearly stated what it's used for.

If Mike, and by extension Twitch Executives, knew that no one would opt in on this Gen AI feature, they shouldn't have implemented in the first place only to then hide behind the "it's an industry standard" bs line. Majority of people DO NOT want AI, they want to be opted out, and if you aren't going to do the bare minimum to have all AI features be able to be opted in or out, then don't implement them.
