Hello I am just a small streamer go by Hypocrite Dragon and I would like to say I really do not like anything that is supporting of training Gen AI. Should this continue be approved and put into Twitch system I will delete my account and never return to this website. I have been here for some time and have gave quite a lot of money to those I follow and support, and I believe they themselves will leave the site as well to stream elsewhere. I know a bunch of long time partners who have already started talking about where to move their streaming to if this AI stuff becomes a reality. Making anything like this Opt-Out By Default is heinous on top of the outright theft of tons and tons of other IP work this would be ingesting. I have zero idea who even wants to be voluntarily training AI to replace themselves. Fix yourself Twitch.

I’d go as far as to say do not implement generative AI or training models on any stream, period. This is not only an invasion of privacy, it also is just awful for creators and the larger world ecosystem.

This is a horrible choice. Do not give into GenAI training, it's messed up.

Please don't try to jump on the wagon of a disgusting and souless tech that will die rather sooner than later. NO ONE asked for it and you should't get near it

Gen AI only exists to **** out slop off of real work done by REAL PEOPLE. This has NO PLACE in creative spaces and should be, at minimum, turned off and only opt-in if people feel the desire to do so. Any money and effort put into Gen AI could be put into making real, tangible improvements to the platform instead of flushing it down the toilet that is destined to fail.

This is a betrayal, a slap in the face, and direct exploitation of every single creative on twitch.

I do not wish my streams to be used for training AI data. If you want to add AI stuff to your platform, go ahead, but I should be able to opt out for personal and ethical reasons.

F*** AI slop. Don't steal from artists. Be better. At best, making it opt-in would just be letting us know what channels to avoid.

quite literally NO ONE wants this, people have been yelling about not wanting generative ai for so long, why would you think it'd be a good idea to start integrating it now? if you really want to lose money THAT badly, the sure, go ahead and add it i guess, but keep everyone else out of it

Not being able to opt out of all, much less it being on by default, is sick. Generative AI is a stupid and expensive fad and any company going all-in on it is going to suffer.

Yes? I mean why would you push such an insane and frankly divisive piece of tech on users and creators on your platform?

I get it, AI companies have a problem with consent but I'd think you should give people the option if you're committed to doing it with a default of no.

No one asked for this and I will happily take my streaming elsewhere if this is implemented. I have no qualms starting from scratch if Twitch decides that the content creators voice do not matter in this case. We make the community what it is and we sure as **** will become it's downfall if you continue down this path.

Really? With all the reports coming out about how unprofitable GenAI is, costing severalfold more than an equivalent amount of human staff with significantly worse operation and features...with every possible potential metric showing that this "Technology" is an absolute dumpster fire on the level of being a superfund site (to the point of potentially making new ones)....you still want to implement AI and train it on streams.

There is absolutely zero benefit to this. It's going to make the site borderline unusable, especially considering even basic features like raiding or moderation tools have bugs. It's the equivalent of a legal minefield between OUR rights as streamers and chatters and the rights of the content holders for the games being streamed, the art being made, and so on. This decision is pure sunk-cost fallacy, and NEEDS to be reversed, abandoned, and never resurrected again.

No GenAI. EVER. Should be used for ANY reason.
