Make all AI features optional, and opt-out by default.
For any features on Twitch which use AI, allow all creators to opt in or opt out of them individually, and set the default to Opt Out for all new AI features. We as creators should have the choice whether to use AI or not on our channels. If we do not want to use it at all, it's important for us to be able to have that choice, AND for us not to be opted in by default.

No, just no. Adding GenAI to your platform is a great way to ruin everything HUMANS have done to make Twitch what it is. This site isn't just about streaming video games, it's a place where many have formed communities, connections, and long time friendships on and trying to use AI to mimic that is both insulting and completely stupid. Instead of wasting money investing into a horribly inefficient and entirely unwanted feature, how about we put that back into the people that keep this place going and make it a better site for all to use?

Gotta be honest, this would be one of the worst ideas this platform had ever implemented. I've been on Twitch since 2012 and have seen so many changes, good and bad, I've seen them innovate the entire live streaming space time and time again - all of which determined by data, ideas, and implementations that came from real people who (hopefully) had good intentions with what they approached with.
This is not one of those things. Please do not use generative AI.

If you use AI I will stop spending on this platform. I am not joking.

I do not stream. However, many of my friends, and their friends, do, and for some of them, this is their livelihood. Those same friends are also against generative AI, and *especially* against having their voices trained to be duplicated by a machine. I do not want their dreams to go up in smoke because suits fueled by greed bought into the AI hype train.
I would prefer that the AI features be not implemented at all. But at the bare minimum, making them optional and opt-out by default should be the way to go.

If AI features are not optional, I will be leaving twitch. Nothing about this improves anything. It's just yet another way for them to make money while helping data centers guzzle up more water. This is absolutely disgusting.

If our content is forcibly put into AI Training Data, I will either find a way to apply Nightshade live, or, failing that, leave to my alternative that I have. Know this, Twitch: AI is a poison to any and all companies. It eats them from the inside out, and to say "Oh we're different cuz it'll help you in XYZ ways" is the same thinking that ate those companies.

AI is a dying and failure of a concept that has seen so much pushback over the past few years that why are we even still trying to push for AI in creative spaces like mind the language but just ******** with this already

We should ABSOLUTELY not have AI training on Streams, and have AI features default with opting out

Along with many of the shared concerns featured in this thread, generative AI does not do anything to improve the overall user experience. It is an inconvenience, it is frustrating to force upon users, and it's just a bad look on the company to add it at all.

If Twitch truly *needs* to force AI onto it's creators, an opt-out policy would surely make the AI dead on arrival because very few would use it. It is so puzzling that Twitch wants to alienate a large majority of the people the site is quite literally made for. The reason Twitch has stood the test of time (until this announcement) is the lack of AI on the site (barring the ads for AI); is this the hill they want to die on? What an absolute waste of something generally good.

Using streamer data towards training generative AI does NOTHING for streamers, and I can't imagine any productive use for the data that isn't just marketing. Even considering the idea already brings bad publicity for Twitch; the application of the idea, with no way to opt-out, will damage the platform beyond repair.
Nobody wants this. Anyone who does isn't interested in streaming enough to actually cultivate a follower-base rather than just market themselves towards a forced cultural bandwagon. The day Twitch turns into YouTube Shorts Live I'm deleting my account.

If Twitch plan to add a Gen-AI training clause, it must be FULLY AND COMPLETELY OPT-OUT or not implemented at all, no questions asked. Twitch payouts are already abysmal, and you do not get to profit off my work without me seeing a cut of that. Even when opt-in, to restore creator trust, you should fully compensate creators each time their work is used to generate something else. Nobody wants this except the greedy shareholders and the mindless sycophants who blindly believe it will make them rich. Do better. Listen to the community.

I do not want anything that I have a hand in to involve generative AI. I will find other places for my work rather than the wholesale theft of people's creativity and passion.

Should AI training be implemented into Twitch, nearly every artist, actor, or musician would leave Twitch. Implementing this would effectively kill the art community on Twitch. This is a horrible idea and many streamers would drop Twitch immediately if AI training off of streams were implemented.
