AI is widely despised and MANY people will refuse to opt-in for this. It makes no sense that this is even something that was added in the first place.

We have already exhausted all of the natural resources allotted for the year because of generative AI. Under no circumstances would I ever allow my content—comments, user info, VODs, *anything*—to be used in training and developing something that is actively killing our planet. Absolutely not.

Very cowardly and outright deceitful Amazon/Twitch. It should be opt in only. By going down the duplicitous route here just proves that none of your customers want genAI.

You should be ashamed that you contributing to the further destruction of our planet.

If you NEED LLMs or "AI" to perform YOUR job then maybe you should just quit and let someone who's actually competent have that job. AI has no place in creative content because the whole point of art is expressionism and AI has no place in moderation because it can't properly make judgement on case by case scenarios, I've seen AI in moderation like discord make foolish blunders like banning people for using default emotes because the AI wrongfully detected it as inappropriate content. Using AI for moderation is not only lazy but its irresponsible and problematic.

Nobody wants their data to be collected for any Gen AI training, should be an option to opt in if wanted but this shouldn't be the move that Twitch takes next with Amazon. No one wants this.

I despise the effects AI has had on everything, from the price of computer components drastically rising to buggy slop ports of old games every week to brain-rotting effects on those who regularly use it. I don't ever want anything I make to feed back into the torment nexus.

Twitch and Amazon, PLEASE stop forcing AI, generative or otherwise, onto customers who do NOT consent to using it! Opt-in to AI should always be an OPTION and not EVER a default setting. The fact this even happened to begin with is appalling.

AI is doing more damage than good. Creators do not want to use this technology which is puttin them out of work. Creators like myself really do not want to be forced into AI features without consent or knowledge

I only found out about the ai feature via a discord thread, it really feels like twitch is trying to sneak it under my nose, which is frustrating and insulting, as I never have, and never will, use AI for anything ever. Get rid of the feature, it brings the quality of the site down.

Absolutely appalling behavior from Twitch to not only push out generative AI features despite the amount of streamers voicing against it, that they also have it enabled by default. I will never consent to anything generative AI.

Making it OPTED IN by default instead of opted out is pretty disrespectful to the community on this platform, viewers and streamers alike. All new features should be really well and thoroughly announced to everyone they are available to, and should always be opted out so we can go check out the settings/features and set it up the way we want. But this being opted in specifically is not just inconvenient – it is suspect and unfortunate at the absolute best, giving everyone the utmost grace, but honestly reads as grossly nefarious and disrespectful of all of the userbase.

AI training should never be a thing & should be opted in not opted out. I am so tired of companies pushing AI onto those who dont want it!

I personally do not like using AI, more specifically when it is used on platforms and in devices in a way that affects me and others without our permission. I do think it shouldn’t be a default setting for AI to gather information without anyone’s knowledge.

AI training should never be an an opted in by default model, it was pretty shady for twitch to opt everyone in to their AI training without explicit consent. AI steals work from real performers and artists and should not be the default choice in any space, let alone a creative one.

It is exhausting that so many companies just opt all their users into being fine with using OUR PERSONAL INFORMATION AND INTERACTIONS to train their AI model. Do not automatically opt-in ever. If you must, please give us the option to opt in, if we want...It's likely they do this to get around the fact that most people don't want this. So exhausting.
