How can we improve Twitch for Creators?

Make all AI features optional, and opt-out by default.

For any features on Twitch which use AI, allow all creators to opt in or opt out of them individually, and set the default to Opt Out for all new AI features. We as creators should have the choice whether to use AI or not on our channels. If we do not want to use it at all, it's important for us to be able to have that choice, AND for us not to be opted in by default.

    In order for Twitch to be a true industry leader, they can start by not following the herd and eating the same contaminated hay as every other live-streaming platform. Remove gen. AI features and protect the creators on this platform. We shouldn't have to worry about how our content is going to be used outside of our streams on top of everything else we worry about during our live-streams. "Industry standard" is whatever standards you make it to be and AI doesn't need to be one. The human creators should be the industry standard. Our voices should be industry standard. And it's been made very clear we don't want AI.

    setting default as OPT IN should be illegal since us creators have given 0 CONSENT for our data to be used in such a disgusting way. If you want us to try new features you are developing you might want to review the law and consult your legal department before doing so.

    GenAI is a plauge on everything the community stands for- At this point, it's better off as a """feature""" you leave out entirely, let alone anything that should be opt-in.

    Publicly saying "if it were opt-in, no one would opt in" has got to be the most insane justification for this. Yeah, no one would opt in. So don't force us. You are telling everyone on the platform they are no longer users but a resource to be exploited.

    Generative AI has no place on this platform. I don't want my content to come from AI. I want it to come from actual humans. I don't want my streamer and artist friends' content used for it at all.

    AI is not a feature, it's a threat. By rolling this out with no notice and on-by-default you have signaled to creators that this platform is not only willing but eager to steal their work and that you do not value true innovation. AI does not create, it regurgitates.

    This being on by default is absolutely horrendous and extremely shady as all ****. Remove this no one wants to have their communities scraped for information to be used without any kind of consent.

    AI has no place on the platform, much less trying to sneak in "Hey we're allowed to do this, riiiiiight?" without saying a -word- about it publically. This is an -incredibly- scummy move. Makes me wanna rethink my entire relationship with the whole platform.

    I hope that after it gets turned off data is removed from wherever they were sending it, that's not clear either.

    I do not want any of my streams or VODs to be used to train AI. Give us the option to turn it all off or I, and a couple of other streamers, will stop using Twitch.
