Opting creators into training AI by default is shady and disgusting. Nothing about Generative AI makes creative content original.

Forcing AI on streamers just really makes a lot of folks hate the site. We want to all hang out and provide time on the site without being forced to be training data

Nothing should be opt-in by default but especially not having your content be stolen.

F*U*C*K OFF TWITCH STOP ADDING AI TO EVERYTHING

Automatically opting everyone in to AI is a great way to get people to move to another service that doesn’t do that. I’m someone who primarily uses twitch to watch people stream. Most people post VOD’s on youtube where I can watch them with less adds. If they move to stream elsewhere I’ll follow. Twitch is a good app, but not enough to inspire brand loyalty. And I don’t follow people who would be ok with training AI.

It seems Twitch is in need of consent training. As others have said, *nothing* should be opt-in by default! No one agreed to this, and no one wants this. Perhaps, rather than hopping on the bandwagon that is careening toward a cliff, listen to the people who make this platform what it is, and leave AI out of creative spaces!

Gen. AI is harmful and dangerous, full stop. This reaction shouldn't be surprising as the lack of announcement clearly means you know this. You could make a real statement and keep it off your platform, but AT THE VERY LEAST opt creators out by default. This move was shady, underhanded and very disappointing but at least we all know to be more vigilant.

As a platform that is made for creators, it seems wrong to even train AI on our content. As we've voiced before with the AI-generated art for Twitch promotional materials and stream categories, we do not want this. AI features shouldn't be included at all, but at minimum, they should be optional and opt-out by default. It would also be nice to receive an email or other form of notice when these features are implemented. Please listen to your streamers who create content on your platform.

If you are going to use our content for your stupid clanker learning at least pay us, literally the only reason why twitch exists in the first place is because streamers not because your weird marketing decisions, treat everyone with respect at the very least.

Looping everyone on your platform into something without their consent is literally the worst move you could make as not only a platform site but as a business as a whole. AI should not be looping everyone in without notice or consent. Its ridiculous.

Why do we need AI on twitch??? Wasting resources and energy for something we do not need. There isn't anything significant AI can do for a streaming site that is worth all the damage and wasted resources

There is no legitimate reason for a single thing that Twitch does to be opt-out. Every feature should be strictly opt-in, and forcing people to actively PREVENT them from scraping creator data to feed a machine explicitly designed to harm creators is abhorrent

AI is never the place for our streams. Shut that down!

A quiet auto-opt in AI roll out training off of artists. Really, Twitch? REALLY?! Talk about a bad faith move. Absolutely shady business move on Twitch's part. Do better.
