I agree on the above. Especially for artists who have a small business and try to live off that it might seem like a slap into their face if twitch just snags their content.

Please let people have a choice what they share and with whom.

The general use of AI is a very controversial subject. User, especially ones very close to this issue should have their views respected. It is rather obvious that these features and their use should not be forced on them for ANY reason. It is also my opinion that they should be opt in and off/ optional by default.

The fact that this was on by default puts a bad taste in my mouth. Why was it necessary to hide the gen ai addition and automatically turn it on? My trust is broken with Twitch.

Auto opt-in for something that is such a hot topic for debate is a really underhanded move. Something like this needs to be announced (at the VERY least) so your users know what is going on. And training AI with your users by default breaks a lot of trust with this platform.

This auto opt-in for AI training is a slap in the face to anyone, streamer or viewer, who logs into Twitch for art. Ethically, completely removing the ability for AI to train off of Twitch streams is the correct answer. At the very least, make it an opt-in feature instead of opt-out.

Creators do not want this. Please keep GenAI and AI training out of Twitch. We DO NOT NEED OR WANT THIS. Opt out by default.

PLS set the default to Opt Out for all new AI features.

twitch yet again getting on board with something nobody wanted and trying to spin it as if everyone was asking for it...spend less time on nonsense like ai and more time actually banning folks who deserve perma bans even if they are super popular on your site and folks may be more likely to believe you when you try whatever idea you have next that is bound to fail.

There is NO WAY you had Mike Minton, CPO of Twitch, say, "If it was opt-in, nobody would opt in" AND THEN SAY IN THE SAME BREATH "The unique thing we're doing here is respecting your wishes to opt-out of model training."

This change is not needed. It's also unwanted by the majority of individuals and groups who broadcast on the platform, making the decision to force opt-out generative AI training on creators an adversarial choice. Please reconsider this and avoid any further attempts to integrate generative AI into Twitch. To repeat: This is not wanted by either streamers or viewers.

I feel like the only way to win the game of "Capitalism" is to have a sociopathic disregard for ethics and the law. Ya'll think you're really good at that game, huh?

One of the great strengths this platform has is human interaction, theres zero need or want for AI on this site.
The fact management needed to sneak this in as a feature shows they don't value their user base over the fear of losing out on GenAi bubble.
A lot of trust and respect broken from pushing this and in a shady way.
