Make all AI features optional, and opt-out by default.
For any features on Twitch which use AI, allow all creators to opt in or opt out of them individually, and set the default to Opt Out for all new AI features. We as creators should have the choice whether to use AI or not on our channels. If we do not want to use it at all, it's important for us to be able to have that choice, AND for us not to be opted in by default.

We as creators do not want generative AI to be trained on our content. Without our (or others') consent or compensation, generative AI is a threat to all creators. One of the biggest issues with training generative AI on streaming is that the data will inevitably source streams that contain non-consenting content that will train AI. Examples include video games (art, soundtracks, voiceovers, etc.), reaction streams, calls with people who may be unaware of Twitch policies (for example, non-site users), etc. No amount of enforcement will prevent data should be not be allowed on the platform to be scraped.
Training AI data on your creators is nothing but an insult to everything that has made Twitch the platform that it is today. This needs to be stopped immediately and before it's too late, especially since goodwill is dwindling from previous incidents and poor policy changes.

You can absolutely ******** with this, no one wants this. The only people who do are tiny weinered Tech Bros/losers. You will fundamentally kill Twitch and destroy THOUSANDS of communities if you go through with this. I know no one is gonna see this, but all the same, eat my fuzzy butthole.

unbelievably disappointed that you all think a) this is even remotely ok and b) that there wont be further pushback from your userbase. shouldve listened to the internal feedback, best case you scrap the entire ******** machine right now and retain the _people_ who make your site worth using. twitch needs to stop opting in accounts by default, and give us access to any and every ai setting so we can turn that **** off. no one wants your plagiarism machine. no one but you wanted to spend the money and time on this actual garbage.

Just, Please no more GenAI. Companies ruined any goodwill involved with them. We won't trust you, meaning communities will move away from using the site.

If you implement literally ANY OF THIS, i'm dropping all my subs, and leaving the platform entirely. I dropped Discord Nitro for less.

AI is a vile, worthless, and all around disastrous dud of a creation. It has no place in, around, or scraping any content created by the dedicated and hard working streamers and performers on your platform.
Do not spit in our faces when your entire site cannot function without us.

does anyone in charge of twitch know how much work streaming is. i'd sooner jump ship and take my streaming elsewhere than let something with the exclusive goal of making a dogshit product pretending to be my work for a quick profit anywhere near it, and if the features aren't at the bare minimum of 100% optional that's exactly what i plan to do

Personally and I think most of the people who use this platform should not have AI as an option PERIOD. If the vast majority is saying it's a bad idea then why bother implementing it at all? I know Twitch is always trying to find the next "innovation", but do something that the community WANTS rather than AI training (basically stealing) from others.

I love having my hobbies, my job and everything threatened because Twitch can't get their act together and actually read the room for ******* crying out loud. Please do not do this. we will all leave in droves. That's one way to completely cook this website.

Please, please, please, either don't use AI at all (the ideal), or at least give streamers the choice whether they use it or not. The human connection between streamers and viewers is at the heart of what Twitch is, and it would be a great disservice to ignore that.

Using streams to train AI models is the kind of decision that threatens to outright destroy community confidence in Twitch as a platform. Implementing these features represents the kind of misunderstanding and mishandling far outpacing Yahoo's mismanagement of Tumblr as a social media platform. The complete destruction of user confidence in Twitch would outright destroy it as a company as streamers find literally any alternative platform. I cannot stress enough how terrible this idea is, and were it not for a longstanding pattern of self-destructive behaviors I would assume that this is a result of corporate espionage from a competitor.
