In my personal and honest opinion I think the use of ai is really disrespectful to the people who value vtubers and artists as a whole although I am not a vtuber but I can speak for those who appreciate the beauty and hard work that artists put into the models for vtubers so the vtubers can properly interact with the community through an artistic model made by the hands of people who appreciate art for what it's worth and I always love seeing different forms of art on my twitch feed and it's like I'm seeing an art gallery of every vtuber model made by people who work so hard to make the people satisfied and appreciate the artwork and seeing that generative ai is being in twitch is not only disrespectful to the community on twitch but it's disrespectful to the vtubers and their artists I think it's within the best choice to get rid of generative ai content on this app for the people to truly enjoy genuine pieces of art and chat freely without generative ai being trained by chats and clips and content I find it genuinely disrespectful and it's a violation of people's privacy and safety as a community who values privacy and safety for not just themselves but for the vtubers and artists all over the world

Ignoring all the feedback is reprehensible, but I wish it was surprising. Bullying and tricking streamers and viewers into letting you steal our data will almost certainly not have the short term consequences for Twitch that it should, but if we are not able to hold you accountable initially it is my greatest hope that the mega corporations that own the IP you're stealing by proxy in the games being played on your platform also take notice and hit hard enough to offer an effective deterrent for future similar decisions. In any case, the so-called "AI" bubble will burst and Twitch will at least feel the impact of that now.

Opt-out is untenable and actually evil. I hope the person that came up with the idea of steal off of Twitch streamers (if not multiple people), should be drawn, quartered, and shot repeatedly in the town square.

There is absolutely no good reason for this Generative AI nonsense to be implemented. There is nothing that will benefit any streamer coming from this.

The fact that it was slipped in without a word and on by default is all we need to know.

I absolutely do not want AI involved with any content I consume or create for any reason. Twitch is a platform built by humans, we do not need AI trash contaminating it. Any time "features" like this are implemented, it should be assumed people do not want to participate automatically.

Twitch, use your resources to do actually productive things that garner good will from your customers and content creators

Maybe it's because nobody wants to opt-in! Generative AI is nothing but unethical.

No one should be tricked into opting to having their person, face, words, thoughts, or otherwise fed to some techno-conglormorate to use at their own discretion to make who knows what.

The default being set to opt-in preys on those who have less social connections, time (to read every word in settings), a retired/hiatus/pre-existing/legacy account, persons with specific disabilities, or those that are younger in age and knowledge, in the hopes that they will not notice or know they have the ability to opt out.

All AI related features should be off by default. Those who believe otherwise are in search of profit rather then what consumers what.

This AI **** is flatly unethical, should be illegal, and no one involved should make software again.

Reverse this change. And quit using AI to code and test your features because this opt-out is flaky as **** too.

Scummy behaviour. Opt-in is on by default because you all clearly know that no one wants this feature - so don't put it in! And now WE have to waste time, resources, and energy telling you what you already know: that we don't want it.

GenAI is not needed in any capacity on this platform. The very least that should be done is to make it an opt out by default.
