If the company knows that creators would not agree to this and not opt-in if the default was opt-out, then by doing the opposite you've literally shat on your hands and clapped.

People will leave. Sub money will be spent elsewhere. People will share the opt-out instructions far and wide to encourage others to do the same.

If you turned it on and started scraping the data BEFORE announcing it and making the opt-out option available, that's even more insidious and despicable.

Opt-out should always be the default. If the feature is so good, people would choose to opt-in, wouldn't they?

Please update to include chat as well! As of right now, the wording is specifically towards content creators and streamers, which means chat is underrepresented and neglected. You may have implied it, but without having chat mentioned directly, there might be less positive reform by Twitch
