How it works:
  • Choose a relevant category for your idea and check to see if any other users have already submitted this suggestion before creating your own
  • Be clear with your suggestion, provide examples and solutions to the problem you are posing. Suggestions without actionable feedback may be closed without comment
  • Upvote existing ideas, as opposed to creating multiple similar requests
  • Be sure to share your suggestion with others to gain more support!
  • Note: Suggestions are not guarantees that we will take action on an idea. We will try our best to communicate why an idea may not work, but may not always be able to share that information.
  • Titles that are unclear or unnecessarily vulgar may be reworded to better reflect the request for ease of discovery

If you need help:

Appeals or commentary on suspension decisions, support requests, suggestions disparaging others, and non-constructive feedback will be closed without comment.

  1. As it currently stands, editors do not have the ability to tag other creators in the stream title. This would be useful for the streamer, who wouldn't need to halt their stream to update the title for raids/etc and overall increase the usage of the feature.

  2. I've been streaming on and off for nearly 4 years (consistent for past 2), and there are so many competing live-streaming platforms, mostly regional ones that have a feature that lets between 2 and 4 streamers engage in a so-called "Battle", which can easily be expanded upon the Stream Together feature. Let's learn about how it can work on Twitch. For purposes of this idea, i'm using the term "Player Knockout" as a codename, rather than reflecting on any forward-facing name should this come to implementation.

-When and if all streamers joining through Stream Together are afffiliate at minimum, the…

  3. I had another streamer join the stream together but they weren't live but were joining as a guest, I could hear them and everything was going through fine but they were no longer able to see the stream content after joining and we couldn't figure out how to solve this bug. So perhaps the waiting room dashboard could also have a box for the currently being streamed content (of any streamer involved who is currently live) as options of sources, so anyone participating can view a stream if that is required for the content, but perhaps even be an additional…

  4. Currently as a host you select your speakers once. However, if I broadcast those speakers to my stream, the audience can hear the guest, regardless if they are live or backstage.

Currently Im handling this by having a single guest, and turning off my guests speaker in xsplit until theyre live. However that wont work for having some guests backstage, and some LIVE. The next workaround is to have the guests backstage muted in StreamTogether, however that doesn't allow me to hear if they are ready to go live or have other backstage problems.

Instead, please have two speakers for…

  7. When a streamer hosts a guest star who is on their same connection the video quality is extremely low for that guest star, while on the guest star's own channel the video quality is fine. See here starting around the 3hr30m mark: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1906948974

TheStreamerOfOz joins in and has terrible video quality.

  8. When you're the host of a Guest Star Stream and you can add the Browser Source URL for your Guests camera and mic. There should be a option for you to give your Browser source URL to your guests that have your camera and mic so they can add it to their streams. The exact same way we add their camera to our stream by copying the profile URL, they should be able to do the same and copy the host's Browser source URL to be able to add the host's camera as well as the other guests. Having a…

  9. Chrome is a resource hog and Opera GX (the only other browser that works with Guest Star) isn't much better. One of my guests maxed out her CPU running a game, VTube Studio and Opera GX, and so had to go back to Discord. It would be nice if there was a less resource intensive alternative.

If every streamer was given a stream key the first time they use guest star then they could use OBS or any other existing software which is going to be much lower usage and it makes it easier, and would also allow for things…

  10. 5 guests is probably great for talk/panel shows, but e.g. a raid party in Final Fantasy XIV is 8 people (i.e. 7 guests) so two members still need to be in Discord which then means you need to mute the guest star audio in favour of Discord audio and have audio sync issues.

  11. My guest stars green screen shows up as black on my obs. I want to use their green screen on my stream so we can see more of the game that we are playing instead of just their green screen showing up as black. Basically I want their green screen to be functional on my stream as well as theirs.

  13. It would be interesting if you as a Guest, could share your screen to the broadcaster, but only those the broadcaster permit sharing screen.
Also it would be fun if you as a Guest, could copy the url code from the broadcaster camera.

  14. Include a browser source for the host of Twitch Guest Star. That way multiple streamers can use the same Guest star window while streaming simultaneously.

  15. I first reported this issue with Twitch Support, but was directed here:

I have used the Guest Star function several times over the past few weeks, and have really enjoyed doing joint streams with fellow streamer friends. However, we have had several reports from members of our communities that when they were watching the stream from mobile, they were unable to chat, or do channel redemptions, and even the video was freezing. However, they could hear the audio, and were watching on low latency mode. When they were able to access their desktop, and for anyone else watching on desktop,…

  16. Hello!

I love using the Guest Star feature on twitch, its a great way to make a stream a little more cozier and its great for introducing your audience to a new streamer.
But, we decided not to use guest star for one of our collabs because the chatters can only see one streamers perspective.
So my idea is a little specific:

When you are playing co-op game with a friend on guest star, I want a way for chat to be able to switch between my in game-camera view, and my guests viewpoint. (for example: we were here forever…

  17. The option to place a background image when the Guest does not have a camera / turned off camera / voice only guest star.
That big grey area with a tiny icon does not look nice.
The user name is already small so on mobile all you see is a grey rectangle with 2 black spots. 1 in the center and 1 in the bottom left.

  18. It would be interesting to create a video call room, a format similar to melonapp that has scenes and the ability to dynamically change the site chatters. Also the compatibility of browsers, that it is compatible with chrome or with firefox is not valid because when sharing the call through those browsers it can cause the sound to be duplicated, it would be convenient if there was compatibility with Opera or vivaldi. Right now with the existing format there is no difference with Discord and guest star should give that extra difference apart from including someone just for having a…
