Split Streams While Live
If I stream multiple games in one session, I want to be able to split the stream on command, separating the sections into separate VODs while still live. This is not the same as VOD chapters, and would greatly improve the searchability of VODs by game on Twitch, and the ability to export/download specific playthroughs for later visibility.
I appreciate that this could be achieved by ending the stream briefly, but nobody wants to do that and risk losing viewers. This can also be achieved in post-production, but that would require lengthy downloads, re-renders, and uploads, especially if you prefer to export directly to YouTube.
Alternatively, I would accept marking split points during the stream to then be separated during the export process (instead of the useless 'every 15 minutes' option), but then Twitch would not benefit from the VOD-per-game searchability. And of course this is all optional, so nothing would be split if the streamer chooses not to.
This would implemented with a simple button on the creator dashboard, confirming if you want to split the stream, at which time a VOD of the split part would be listed on the channel as the stream continues, with its ongoing live time. Title and category behaviour would remain normal, using whatever the last selected was at the end/split. This functionality is a win-win for everyone.
