You should add a bar to let you go back in the stream if vod is published. You should be able to pause and play, and choose whether you want to be caught up to the live, or continue watching where you paused. You should be given a speed button, if you want to watch at 1; 1.25; 1.5; 2x speed you can to catch up to the live broadcast. You should also be able to seek into earlier into the stream from the live broadcast viewer rather then going to the vod. Just have either colors, or a label indicating that you arent looking at the live view and currently looking at the past. also have a go to live moment, also maybe a way to mark somewhere in the vod for you to check out later. in my mind im thinking of a tiny yellow clip marker, since streams can be really long, it would be a way to go back to a moment you missed, want to rewatch, or want to show someone. without having to dl, publish ect, just a marker to go back and watch a moment in a really long vod, while the stream is still going, so if theres a part of the stream you want to pause or dont mind watching something else during, you can go back to that point and watch it. or if your done watching the stream and want to go back. You could also place the marker, right click to copy the video at that time stamp to send to someone. have the chat locked when youre not watching the live part of the broadcast, unlock it when caught up.
