[Feature] Featured Clips
Featured Clips help you show up on new and existing Twitch discovery spaces in ways that best represent you and your community. We recently shared our plans (https://blog.twitch.tv/en/2023/07/08/everything-we-announced-at-twitchcon-paris/) to launch the upcoming mobile Discovery Feed. As we work towards building new onsite discovery tools like the Discovery Feed, we want to give you more control over which Clips are shown to viewers on Twitch with Featured Clips.
We're already working on improvements to Featured Clips, including:
- Allowing you to opt-in to automatically featuring Clips created by you or your editors.
- Giving Featured Clips access to Mods and other trusted members of your community.
- Adding the ability to feature Clips from the Clip creation flow, the Clip editor, and on mobile.
- Adding more Featured Clips analytics.
We'd love to hear your feedback and suggestions on how to improve this feature.

Please remove the Recently Featured Clips section on mobile. It takes up an insane amount of screen real estate, and at the very top of the page. At least give us the option to disable it. The only thing I can think to do is start unfollowing the channels whose clips are appearing, which I obviously don’t want to do. This has got to be the worst update to the app I’ve seen in the 5+ years I’ve been using it. Who thought this was a good idea??

This is an awful feature and I have decided to start unfollowing channels anytime they show up in featured clips. I rather look them up, IfI want to check when they're live than follow them and have to see the ugly clip.

Every time I use the android app, there's a massive clip that blocks me from what I'm actually trying to get to, i.e. the people I follow and/or games categories I'm interested in.
There needs to be an option where we can choose to remove this or move it further down the front page of the app. It's infuriating when I open the amp and instead of seeing who's on, I'm confronted by a random clip of a streamer I follow. It's a massive turn-off from the featured content placed there. Let us change this! -

This is the worst change I have seen in my ~7 years on Twitch. I‘ve unfollowed every single streamer that uses featured clips in the hopes that I can refollow them once Twitch fixes this atrocity, but it‘s been a month since the first clip showed up for me. Over a dozen streamers gone and no end in sight.
Why did you think that it‘s a good idea to put random old content over livestreams on mobile apps? The very purpose of your website is to provide access to live content. So why don’t you stop obstructing that very thing you‘re known for?
There is no awesome „discoverability bonus“ in forcing people to see someone’s clips if they’re already following that person. It just makes those streamers look greedy.
Also an honorable mention to all the spoilers for VOD viewers, right at the top of their apps.
Why is this not a dedicated tab for people who want to browse clips? That would just solve the whole issue. But hey - after a month of waiting for a fix I‘m starting to believe Twitch actually enjoys making life horrible for its viewers.

Recently featured clips should be a setting we can toggle off.

I rarely unfollow channels, but have unfollowed 100% of the channels that feature clips. The UI/UX are so incredibly bad and annoying.

Is there a way to remove featured clips, on my mobile phone, from djs/streamers that I follow? I don't like them being at the top of my page, above my "followed channels". I actually unfollowed some streamers that clip all the time and idk how to remove their clips.

I like the idea of featured clips on my page, but if I want to browse someone's clips it's a bit bothersome that I have to turn off featured clips before I can see any others. Maybe just show the featured ones at the top of the clips page (sideways scrollbar), and the regular view below it. Especially annoying on channels that don't even have any featured clips (but plenty of regular ones)

Horribly intrusive, uncustomizable, unable to delete, clear or filter

End this feature, thank you. As stated by others
- way too big
- intrusive. Always right at the top.
- you are screwing your streamers with terrible contracts that just seem to get worse. That's unrelated to this feature but always worth mentioning -

I cannot unfeature clips once I've made it featured. Please advise.

Hilariously bad how every time I open my mobile app, I'm smacked in the face with a topless BG3 female character. Can't turn the clip off so I have to worry about who's behind me/where I am every time I open Twitch on my phone.

Who's decision was it to add this UI element to twitch, really? This is an awful addition to the app.
The "Recently Featured Clips" UI element takes up half the screen as soon as you open the app and pushes all the live content down to the bottom. I use Twitch to watch live streams, as do others. Yet some exec though it was smart to prioritize old content over live content.I will literally never use this niche feature.
What's even more frustrating is you introduced a huge UI change like this with no option to toggle it off?

The absolute worst feature from twitch. Annoying big thing at the top of my app. I had to resort to unfollow streamers who had those clips

Give us an option to remove this, it is too large and why is it on top of everything on my page, if you do decide to fix the issues don't just make it smaller actually give us a way for us to say we dont want this on our front page

This section is a horrible addition to my following section. It is intrusive and makes me less engaged to use the app.

I'd love to be able to feature my own uploaded Clips.
I edit my Clips locally on my PC to use them on other platforms, so having a way to use these videos (that I can already upload, just not feature) instead of the basic, unedited Clips me or my viewers can make on Twitch, would help massively in making sure there is high quality content not just on my Channel, but also on the upcoming Discovery Feed.

This section is too large and intrusive. I'm on twitch to watch live streams from my followed channel, and nothing else.
Also there is a bug with this section where, at least on mobile, there is no way to dismiss or hide the featured clip from this section. The three dots do nothing when pressed.
Please provide a way to hide this section entirely, or at least push it down below live broadcasts.
Also, your feedback form is obnoxious. I typed this comment out, then was forced to login to actually submit it, and the redirect ate my comment forcing me to retype it out on mobile.

I think the section in the following tab is too big/takes up too much space, but hopefully when the discovery feed button comes out, it’ll be placed in there.
So other feedback I hear a lot is the featured clips on someone’s clip page….. don’t HIDE the other clips behind a button click…. You can spotlight the ones the streamer wants to feature, but please keep the other clips below that instead of having to turn off featured clips… people still like to see other clips even if they weren’t feature-worthy according to the streamer (due to various reasons). Especially if a viewer clips something and nobody else is able to find it easily, just gives them less motivation to clip, and isn’t the idea they know what they want to see and is a good/funny/awesome moment during that time?
Just let people see ALL clips, but keep featured clips at the top as some spotlight!!!!!!!! -

please add a way to move it up or down on the main page...

a lot of people are just Unfollowing creators to get rid of it for now.. which is hurting creators not helping..
