This is the worst change I have seen in my ~7 years on Twitch. I‘ve unfollowed every single streamer that uses featured clips in the hopes that I can refollow them once Twitch fixes this atrocity, but it‘s been a month since the first clip showed up for me. Over a dozen streamers gone and no end in sight.
Why did you think that it‘s a good idea to put random old content over livestreams on mobile apps? The very purpose of your website is to provide access to live content. So why don’t you stop obstructing that very thing you‘re known for?
There is no awesome „discoverability bonus“ in forcing people to see someone’s clips if they’re already following that person. It just makes those streamers look greedy.
Also an honorable mention to all the spoilers for VOD viewers, right at the top of their apps.
Why is this not a dedicated tab for people who want to browse clips? That would just solve the whole issue. But hey - after a month of waiting for a fix I‘m starting to believe Twitch actually enjoys making life horrible for its viewers.
Wow. Awesome. So I‘ve unfollowed every single streamer that uses Featured Clips because you decided to clutter my limited screen space with one horrible feature. Now you‘re adding a second one that takes up half my screen (and this time it even blocks all this space with a white wall when no one is using it), because the first one already was such a MASSIVE SUCCESS and such a BRILLIANT INVENTION. Thanks, I hate it. In fact I despise your new features ruining my app more than I can spell out in a public comment. Will I have to completely abandon my mobile apps and switch to browser use in order to see what makes Twitch Twitch - the LIVESTREAMS??? Please check the IQ of your employees before they‘re allowed to make UI decisions in the future. We‘re trying to watch Twitch Livestreams, not another youtube-tiktok-instagram-ADHD app. Put all this BS in separate tabs so we can use our Following page in peace. I don‘t understand what you‘re gaining from making life obnoxious for your mobile users... It‘s not money for sure, because the more you ruin our experience with useless features that take away from our actual needs on your platform, the more users will leave.
