[Feature] Stories on Twitch

Stories on Twitch is a new feature in the Twitch mobile app that helps you stay connected with your community when you’re not live. Stories let you share photos, clips, or freeform content using text, custom channel emotes, and backgrounds that expire in 48 hours. Creating stories is currently limited to Partners & Affiliates who have had at least one stream in the last 30 days. Streamers with at least 30 subscribers (including gift subs) will also have the option to create sub-only stories.     This is another DUMB twitch idea. Why can't I disable this? Why are notifications for stories turned on by default? Why are there no settings that I can change to disable this? Twitch is out of touch with the Twitch experience and its been dreadful for a couple years now. Features like this are why I uninstalled the app off most of my devices. Feature creep for whatever reason is just an eye sore and annoyance. Whoever is guiding the dev's needs to be replaced, this is garbage.

    Stories takes up WAY to much screen real estate, especially in horizontal viewing mode. Please allow us to disable them or move it to below or Live Following list.

    You add this to help streamers stay connected but in reality it’s an eye sore to viewers. I don’t want to see random clips or random stories from anyone on twitch. I want to check and see who is live. I don’t want stupid stories clogging up my followed list. Make a stories tab so I can never click it. Make it to where we can hide all stories. Do anything but restrict our viewing experience. I have already unfollowed 2 people and about to do 2 more as they keep posting stupid stories. If I wanna know what they are doing outside of streaming I’ll check their twitter.

    The affiliate program I have got over 150 followers, but not 3 people chatting was close to it, didn’t get it I should be one already, that would be a good thing for people and listening to people who stream for you and affiliate having a contact to speak to

    The app is not letting me post any pictures, videos or text. It say story failed to post over and over. This is the first time I have experienced this. My app is up to date.

    A way to mute all stories notifications. Or not set the notification on by default. Super annoying.

    Get rid of stories on my following page. I don’t want to see things from random streamers that I am not following. I watch enough ads, I don’t need you forcing your ideas on me.

    Edit: like why is this Bella Level Up thing taking up so much real estate on the tab that is specifically for the people I follow. Put this stuff in browsing tab or something, not in my following tab.
    Forcing me to partake in your stupid shenanigans is not what I’m on twitch for. So move it to some other tab and preserve the sanctity of MY following tab.

    Edit: just updated my app and this terrible feature takes up the top 35% of my screen. I'll be unfollowing every creator that lowers themselves to using stories. What a bad idea.

    Original: As long as I can disable all stories from my viewing experience, my notifications, my feed as though they don't exist, I'm OK with this.

    Let the low IQ people enjoy their stories.

    Can we please have an option to disable stories or other nonsense on the new front mobile page. I want to click and see who’s live, nothing else. I’m trying to limit my social media use and the stories are just people posting dumb things, not important updates. It’s taking up the entire screen, please make it an option to choose whether or not you want to see this!! (And now the ads too?!)
