[Feature] Stories on Twitch
Stories on Twitch is a new feature in the Twitch mobile app that helps you stay connected with your community when you’re not live. Stories let you share photos, clips, or freeform content using text, custom channel emotes, and backgrounds that expire in 48 hours. Creating stories is currently limited to Partners & Affiliates who have had at least one stream in the last 30 days. Streamers with at least 30 subscribers (including gift subs) will also have the option to create sub-only stories. Learn more about stories and current eligibility requirements in our Help Article: https://help.twitch.tv/s/article/stories. We'd love to learn what else you'd like to see so share with us your feedback.

I haven't been able to post a story since the new update. I've worked through all the instructions support provided.

I have been completely unable to use it for about the past 2 weeks because no matter what I try to post I receive a "failed to post" error message. Trying to post a Clip in Stories are impossible now for me, what should i do?

And again... make it hideable - why copy this **** from every social media trash. There are at least too many places (Discord/Insta/FB/Messengers/Mail/X/ect.) for creator to stay in follower minds. But i can hide them. Only twitch thinks: Hey, great idea. Dont need to test it - make it live - everybody wants it! Reality: No! There ist too much commecial. We dont need more Banners, Button, Blinkings...

Please make it so we can at least pause or edit the streams on the front page. i fricking hate it when smth just starts playing and theres no way to disable or hide it. Stories are useless and annoying, autoplay makes me aggressive. Give me back my old starting page, this sucks!

Please PLEASE allow Stories to be hideable on the Following page. The Following Shelf takes up way more screen space that seems necessary and this is especially noticeable when you are fallowing only one or two streamers actually using the feature which results in a good chunk of the screen now being resigned to empty blank black space. The Stories notification on the left-hand menu? I'm fine with that, but both it and the Stories Shelf together feels really unnecessary.

Between Stories and the Subtember banner, nearly half of the screen real estate on my Following page is taken up by things I don't want and have no way to disable. Stories should absolutely not take priority over the people I follow and are currently live. Please allow us to remove or disable it from appearing in our following page.

Stories are not cool, and create a negative user experience.
Why are you clogging up my navigation? -

It's really cool that my entire sidebar is replaced with stories the instant someone posts one. I love losing access to my own curated content for another terrible idea. You guys wouldn't have had to increase sub prices if you'd just stop spending money on features nobody asked for.
Also I've had to unfollow 2 channels just to get rid of their stories. I hate it that much.

It's lame. I don't care about a stories I want to just watch the stream.

So I actually don't mind the stories feature, however I have been completely unable to use it for about the past 2 weeks because no matter what I try to post I receive a "failed to post" error message. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app (I'm on android). I've triple checked that it's the most up to date version and I can't use it. Please keep in mind prior to 2 weeks ago I was able to use the function but only for my own photos I would upload. The preloaded backgrounds in the app have never been able to be posted for me I will add.
I'm hoping this can be resolved soon.

Stories just showed up on my PC. Please allow me to disable them.

Let me disable stories. Right now the only thing I can do to reclaim this space on my following page is to unfollow streamers making stories. This features is pushing lower view count streamers even further down the page.

I can´t post stories anymore for clips, I get an error message "try again", I try again and the story just tries to load, nothing posts, I have tried clips that have worked in the past and I get the same message

Hit with the bug... My following likes my stories. Guess I will have to make a snapchat for them instead.

Let us turn the stories off PLEASE. Some of us hate this feature.

I usually give designers the benefit of the doubt but this feature implementation makes it pretty clear the people working on it do not use the platform at all. I’ve started using YouTube for any stream that’s on both because you’ve made it harder for me to watch the content I’m following.

While the consept of stories could be interesting, the way it's currently implemented is not good, it's fully taken over my pc sidebar i can't see any of my followed channels on there anymore.
I believe stories could be added as a thing creators could use but it shouldn't be modifying the entire sites flow. If a streamer isn't live and uploads to their story it could have their avatar get a colored hue around it that when a viewer clicks on their channel instead of it showing their offline screen would load into their story where the offline screen would normally be, let there be the chat and followed channels on the sides. Stories should be over ruling anything like they currently are.
