Stories let you share photos, clips, or freeform content using text, custom channel emotes, and backgrounds that expire in 48 hours. Stories Please please please, have an option to mute some of the stories.
I keep unfollowing channels because of these cringey stories that the streamers post and that I do not wish to see, NOT EVEN in thumbnail mode.
Either think about a hide option or move the stories from the top of the feed - I am using twitch mostly on mobile and this is very annoying.

Bug related to story update I encounter the following bug on the Android Twitch app since the recent update with the stories:
The channel with the most viewers of the ones I follow does not show up anymore when launching the app. When I reload my follow list a couple of times it shows up eventually but also randomly disappears again.
This is very annoying, especially for streamers with a lot of viewers since people can not see that it's live.

Allow viewers to react with channels own emotes It would be really nice to be able to react with a channels own emotes to their stories. If there's concern about the amount of space this UI would take, let the creator pre-select which emotes are enabled for this.
Side note, clips being paused while reacting is quite annoying, especially since they don't autoplay afterwards.9 votes -
Minimize stories when viewed Minimize them to just their profile pictures when Viewed, or maybe a menu that can be popped open

Tag feature for Stories I would love the ability to tag a creator in stories. If I wanted to give a special shoutout or if I was doing a collab stream that would be great for discoverability

Freehand zoom/rotate/reposition images and clips in stories Right now we can only have the clip centered on the screen or zoomed in to fill the vertical height. It's a bit limiting since everyone's stream setups/layouts are different and the main content is not always in the center.
Would be more useful if we could simply move and rotate the clip around wherever we want (much like posting a video on Instagram stories) so we can focus on whatever part of the video is important.
Also if you post an image, it just fills it in to the vertical height and you have no way of adjusting it.…

Yes/No or Thumbs Up/Thumbs Down reactions, or some sort of polling feature for stories Loving the stories feature. It would be helpful to be able to gather feedback from followers if they could vote with a yes or no reaction or even a multiple choice poll widget on the story.

Edited Vertical Clips for Stories Clips can be edited into vertical "short/tiktok" format, but only horizontal clips can be used when making Twitch Stories. Please enable the use of edited vertical clips in Twitch stories, or at least let us zoom in to a different area of the clip when making the story.

Make it easier to customize by channel Since going to the channel page seems unintuitive, a button could be added when viewing stories to customize notifications , or have the notifications options also available on notification button of a live stream

Ability to record/post original video to stories It would be great if we could record a video either to give a monologue update for followers or of our IRL events.

Stroke around text option The block background is helpful for making text stand out, but can cover too much content and look messy. It would be a good option to have a stroke around the text to make it stand out from the background without covering so much.

allow 10-30 second video uploads to "My Story" epically with Stream quality issues IRL: is a pain on connection and audio accepted by the twitch app and video quality.. I captured video bits of the show i was trying to share I want to share but instead i have audio hazard VODs ..
