Unfollowing channels has been the easiest way to remove perpetual stories.

We need a way to opt out of stories. I have them AdBlocked on desktop, but it's so annoying when streamers raid into people that use stories and when you go to refresh the stream get kicked into their story instead of refreshing their actual stream.

Agreed, my solution is to unfollow any channels that post stories. I don't care about stories and don't want additional clutter on the left navigation.

On my mobile? 🤣 Stories don't bug me on desktop, but now with the redesign of the mobile app they are not so appalling anyway.

Just use AdBlock, you can disable elements with it.
I was able to DELETE that annoying storie banners on the left and on the big follow page.

Not really smart to not have the option to show it or not.
