We’re happy to announce that we have released an additional update to address these concerns. Streamers can now prevent their banned users from watching their livestreams. You can find and turn on this feature in the Moderation settings section of the Creator Dashboard, through the “Stop banned users from viewing stream” toggle.
Please note, this update 1). does not prevent users from watching livestreams from an incognito window or while logged out and 2). does not prevent users from viewing VODs, clips or highlights. We plan to explore extending the functionality of bans further, including but not limited to preventing VOD and clip playback.
In addition, we’ve made an update so that users that are blocked will now automatically be blocked from watching a streamer’s livestreams.
We will leave this thread open for your other points regarding preventing view of other content types and account creation.

I have serious concerns about Twitch making generative AI training an opt-out feature rather than requiring creators to actively opt in. Creators should not have to discover and disable a setting to protect years of work. Consent should be explicit, informed, and affirmative—not assumed by default. Twitch's new setting is enabled by default and applies broadly to streams, VODs, clips, chat, and channel content for future generative AI model training.
If Twitch is going to allow creators to opt in to AI training, there should be full transparency:
Any channel that chooses to participate should be automatically labeled as contributing content for generative AI training, with that label permanently tied to the opt-in setting and not removable while participation is enabled.
Viewers, collaborators, and other creators deserve to know when content they contribute to or appear in may become part of AI training datasets.Creators whose content is used to train commercial AI systems should also be fairly compensated. Our streams, communities, artwork, voices, chat interactions, and creative efforts have value. If that value helps build products that generate revenue, creators should share in that value instead of providing it for free.
Finally, Twitch must implement stronger safeguards around sensitive information. Many creators openly discuss mental health, disabilities, chronic illnesses, trauma, and other deeply personal experiences on stream. Those conversations should never be used to train generative AI models or become part of datasets that could be repurposed in ways creators never intended. Protecting sensitive health and mental health information should be a baseline expectation, not an afterthought.
Transparency, meaningful consent, fair compensation, and protection of sensitive personal information should be the foundation of any responsible AI policy—not optional features.

I dislike the new PC UI. I dislike the stories. And mobile is now totally useless. These changes are going to keep you bleeding customers and streamers alike.

The number of times that I have inadvertently hit share is insane. I am not a streamer and I'm not about to share another streamer's live (totally poor form and if you wanted this to be an option then just bring back hosting)
Also replace X with Bluesky while you are at it on the share button since many of us are not on that hate train.

The redesign is all trash. If I wanted to see stories or a single streamer I would follow them on IG or even go to the tikkytokky. Revert the UI prior to the Oct 2023 downgrade of the stories addition. I watch primarily on mobile and 12 subs and turbo all dropped today. Now imagine if that was done by everyone. That's 85 per month (US) and over 1000.00 per year.

We need a way to opt out of stories. I have them AdBlocked on desktop, but it's so annoying when streamers raid into people that use stories and when you go to refresh the stream get kicked into their story instead of refreshing their actual stream.

You have NOT listened to those of us that want a way to remove stories and now they are also accessible on PC. This is not acceptable. We have been unfollowing and leaving streamers that have been using stories since last year when you introduced it at twitch con and now you have changed the UI so that it moves your followed and subbed list below the stories to indicate that this is where you want the future of Twitch to go, and be like TikTok and IG. If THIS was the reason for the dollar increase to subs, then good luck you will lose a lot of people.

It's been two months and you have yet to listen to those of us that use mobile that either stories needs to be relocated or have the option to disable them. If you view in landscape mode on a tablet or phone, stories takes up the ENTIRE screen. We have been unfollowing creators to be able to move past them, which is NOT supportive to the creators or to Twitch. You have first the Stories then you have current live, then you have clips, followed by recommended. This means that smaller creatives are getting missed, and the creators that are using stories for BS posts are losing follows and potential subs.
I can tell you personally every person that I've unfollowed, I'm also not renewing subs because then we also don't even see that they are live. I can tell you that my 10k hours will most likely drop in half for the next recap. I've even stopped modding for the a partner that uses stories at this point

Since you started stories....
Things that you haven't addressed include that on mobile stream listings are doubled and when you select a stream you get thrown into one that doesn't even match that was selected.
In landscape mode the stories take up the ENTIRE viewing screen.As a result I have unfollowed EVERY creator that I am not subbed to. Removed the mobile app from my devices, removed it from my Fire TV, cancelled my Turbo and cancelled every auto resub. Will you even notice the loss of 140 bucks a month plus bits, probably not, but you will if 100+ will

No, just NO. If I wanted stories, I would go back to using YouTube, or look to FB or IG. I'd even establish a TikTok, but I came to Twitch to get away from that BS plus the abundance of ads. There needs to be a way to disable stories and only view the content we are paying for (IE Turbo, channels subbed to etc) Adding them in just makes you blend in more with YouTube. The only thing that they will do is take up viewing space and bog the system even more that is already twitch glitchy
To those saying that "I'm sure the ones complaining are not streamers" and "they don't take up that much space" They take up 1/3rd of the space on android in portrait mode and the full screen in landscape mode, followed by clips. And without viewers that may or may not stream, you have no platform on twitch. People come to watch vods and lives not for the stories or clips. Without a way to disable them they are bogging down the mobile platform. Thank you Twitch for helping me spend less money and minimize my followage as I've been unfollowing and unsubbing due to the stories and I'll go to Turbo only since the price of that also increased and I refuse to pay for a feature that is 1) on other platforms for free and 2) due to the increase in ads and when Prime users even have to pay an extra fee to go ad free on videos then turbo will go away as well.
Twitch needs better protections for users who are unfairly targeted through bans and coordinated bullying. Bullying doesn't only happen in chat. It can happen when streamers collaborate with one another to ban someone unfairly across multiple communities, isolate them, or effectively push them off Twitch all togetether.
Streamers need the ability to protect their communities, but there also needs to be a way to address the abuse of those tools when bans become a part of a larger pattern of harassment. Right now, Twitch talks about protecting creators from bullying while offering very little protection when creators themselves are participating in it.
There needs to be a meaningful reporting and review process for coordinated harassment involving bans. Not just protections for the person doing the banning.
