Create tiktok like clips viewing with new vertical editor and make discoverability better
As people can now edit their clips to fit in vertical shape these could either be uploaded to twitch and then being able to watch them via the app or website in a scrollable fashion akin to what tiktok is doing.
Hashtags are already a thing and can be used to search like categories.
This could make discoverability on twitch way better as viewing clips right now is just totally cumbersome.
Could even just apply coordinates from the cutouts streamers are doing and applied in realtime to the clips.
Just something to make clips way more impactful on twitch itself than on other platforms to share and increase your reach.
We recently announced the upcoming launch of the Twitch Discovery Feed: a scrollable feed in the Twitch app that shows users a personalized mix of Clips.
Before that launch happens, we’ll be running experiments with limited versions of the Discovery Feed to help test and improve our algorithms plus the overall experience. These early experiments do not reflect the final design or experience of the Discovery Feed.
We'd love to hear your feedback and suggestions on how to improve this experience as we build towards the bigger launch. Feedback can be left via https://link.twitch.tv/UVDiscoveryFeed - thank you!

It has become quite difficult to find new streamers you like, especially if you wish to connect with small/medium streamers under the categories you are interested in.
For this reason it would be great if each category could be filtered to show either broadcasts or clips for streamers who had X amount of streams within the past month (as to only include active streamers).Personally I would be much more inclined to watch 30 second clips to see the potential of streamers and follow them even if they're offline, than watching a live stream for 5 minutes hoping for an above average moment.

Propongo crear una especie de para ti al estilo TikTok pero de clips de Twitch.
Creo que sería divertido para dar a conocer streamers buenos poco conocidos. -

Create a new section in twitch that plays a feed of clips from channels both large and small and in turn a tab that plays clips from the channels you follow. The idea is to scroll watching short and impressive videos, which is what is sought today

I believe defaulting the user to view people in the same game/directory the offline creator, or context of the clip itself would be the most viable approach here. There are more elaborate ways to use this functionality in the future with algorithmic approaches, but as a standard or default, minimal use case I think this is an easy approach to begin with.

We are in a generation of instant gratification, short form content rules the market. If Twitch implemented a feature like their competitors (Youtube Shorts, TikTok Instagram Reels) where streamers could upload their clips in a scrolling feed fashion that would draw more viewers to meet new streamers.
In addition, adding a live now icon on anyone of the clips that were being viewed in the twitch clips feed would draw more people to that creators live stream. You would jump start a lot of streamers careers and feel like you'd ultimately draw more money in for everyone, a social hub where we have a clip feed of all kinds of clips (maybe categorized by hashtags or keywords)

This is a brilliant idea Tolley, and Twitch should take notice. This idea that you have is the best one out of all the other ideas that Twitch is trying to, and failing with, rolling out.
This can help bring communities together -

This is beyond a smart idea. Not only would this help Twitch maintain viewership moving into the future. It would increase traffic and allow people to have simple easy ways to share highlights, clips, uploads, etc.
Additionally for Twitch this helps retain excusivity for future creators and current creators. A feedback loop that will both help the company and the streamer. Love this idea Tolley!

Twitch should make a Tab or seperate app similar to TikTok/Youtube Shorts where you scroll on random Twitch clips on the site picked by an algorithm made for you. Would help people stay on Twitch because you could discover new people easily.

As we know discoverability on Twitch is not great, if we want to get discovered we need to make and upload content to YouTube, which while better is still not great to get discovered with how over saturated the content is on there. This is why I want to bring this idea forward.
Much like Instagram to share photos and videos in a wide space to discover things that get recommended based on what you look at and who you follow this would be just for Twitch clips and Highlight.
Twitch Discover - An app where you login with your Twitch to create your profile, from this you can click upload and it will bring up clips and highlights of your channel to upload.
Within your settings you select the categories you are interested in i.e. Fortnite, Valorant, Call of Duty etc and then in the Discover tab you only see Clips and Highlights of the selected categories. On these clips and highlights you can go to the persons profile to follow them which also follows them on Twitch so they can check them out when they are live.
When a person is live their profile can show a live symbol to let people know they are so they can come over and check them out right away.
Even if a person is not a streamer they can still make an account in order to browse the discover tab to find new people to watch.
Here is a quick 2 minute video of me explaining the idea if it helps give a better idea: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1157990843

A clips section in every category on Twitch, you can swipe up or down to travel between clips. Clips can be rated through a slider on the side. I think this feature would be great for not only streamers, but normal Twitch users as well. This short clips section would have its own place aside from streams, for example: Top rated clips would have their own space in the main Twitch page.

Twitch Reels
It isn't a secret that discoverability on twitch is not the best. Every social media that exist has already jumped on this trend and integrated reels onto their platform.
Imagine a world where Twitch is not just a streaming site but the center of all gaming content. Adding a reels feature would take Twitch to a whole new level. It would be amazing for creators and consumers. It would single handedly fix the the clear discoverability problem Twitch is dealing with today.
Although Twitch would have to put in time to create a working algorithm that doesn't just favor large creators with a big following or that would just further develop the discoverability issue. Kind of like TikTok, that allows all content to be seen and pushed out.

social growth and social media growth we all know and can tell from twitch platform this is not a platform that favors in equal platform viewership and its based of who ever has the highest viewers to the lowest this is understandable but does not add ( flavor ) to the so called app, twitch needs to incorporate the options of all social media links to be available immediately to twitch's as a share option too all platforms ,
i would like to express i am not "promoting"( TikTok in anyway but as far as i have seen the way their apps algorithm works is it shows you feed based on what you have watch previously wether a person a category or a topic the function works and a immediately not sat after viewer ship content just gets feeded to you and everyone gets more of a fair chance) twitch has this with the suggestions option but i think when you click into the game categories instead of higher to lowest viewership it should show live feed as well as content post on twitch like creators content clips and also live channels with hashtag links and switch it up with most time streamed or rand surge from different streamers promoting more options to people with camera and non camera who been pushing more content streaming more or what people like comdey completive trolling etc

As we all know, Twitch Discoverability is terrible, and communicating with out fans is also almost non-existent outside of streaming.
TikTok took the world by storm, and applications like Instagram have gained massive traction using the same concept.
It would be great to have a "Twitch Discover Page," where streamers could post 15-30 second videos in the same upright style as these apps.
It would be amazing to be able to select a game/category, and be able to scroll an endless amount of these videos. Not only would it add an extra ounce of discoverability, but it would also add ANOTHER reason for gamers to come/return to Twitch. To see GAME RELATED "TikTok content."
A new app Hover has been developed and is growing fast.
The opportunity is NOW to end the apps progress and create something inbuilt.
It is so frustrating (and the very reason so many people are leaving Twitch) that you have to use 10 different apps to do anything here. -

I really enjoy using the 'Clips We Think You'll Like' segment on the home page and I think a lot of others would too - if it were more clear and useable.
It really could benefit Twitch to improve this feature to be similar to a TikTok kind of thing. People would spend a lot of time watching the clips and it would boost time users spent on the app. People talk about Twitch slowly falling behind competitors features-wise. It's not that the features aren't there. It's just not intuitive.
To filter out clips that shouldn't be shown on the page, don't show clips that haven't been edited, be that by title or length of the clip. This means that the funniest moments of everyone's streams would be in one place. Good for keeping up with channels you follow and discoverability.
Other than just enjoyment, there's the fact that everyone seems to be slowly getting more and more disillusioned with the discoverability on Twitch. More and more people are moving to YouTube. With this feature, that would no longer be an issue. I have followed many people that have popped up in my 'Clips We Think You'll Like' page and so would others, if it wasn't so hidden. Add a more useable version of this, in it's own tab maybe, where users can scroll to go through the clip. Make the follow button easily clickable during the clip and people can follow streamers they think they'll like. This would also give the Twitch Mobile App a much needed renovation and with something like this, I am sure people would be coming to the app a lot more.
I can see only positives for everyone. Think on it dudes, you guys are way smarter than me. I am sure you can figure it out.
Love,

"Game interests" as well as just selecting a particular game and getting clips for that game.
I understand "game interests" as all fps clips, rpg clips, etc. -

I think it would be really beneficial to all streamers, smaller ones especially, if there was a feed / discoverability option that used popular clips you might be interested in to introduce you to new streamers. I feel this is one of Twitch's best features, but is vastly underutilized.
