Do not change the duration of streamer's disconnection duration in VoDs
Sometimes when I'm watching VoDs there's a part where the streamer disconnected, and a placeholder screen appears (the NotLikeThis screen, from what I informed). When the streamer reconnected in the VoD, the people in chat appears to still see the streamer as being disconnected, and seems to notice the streamer going back online a few minutes later. After that, the chat and the video is out of sync for the rest of the VoD, with chat reacting to events that happened several minutes ago in the video.
After browsing around and witnessing multiple streams from my favourite streamers, it turns out that the NotLikeThis screen duration is shorter than the actual duration of streamer's disconnection period, causing video and chat playback to be out of sync.
My suggestion is for for Twitch to not cut down the NotLikeThis duration; Make it reflect the full duration of the streamer's downtime, so it stays in sync with chat.

This needs to be fixed asap, it is really making it hard to watch back VODs, how can i watch the juicer XQC if the chat is delayed Sadge. A quick fix would be just to keep the whole 'notlikethis' screen from the vod or maybe just even split it into 2 vods when it happens.

I feel like you don't even need to add an extra feature for this (like an interface for adjusting delay), but rather just keep the entire "NotLikeThis"-screen length as part of the VOD. At least this would be a quick fix until something better exists. It feels like the reason for the VOD chat delay is because the "NotLikeThis"-screen length is edited down while chat is not.

The chat can be out of sync to the video in a VOD when there was a disconnect issue during the stream (the not like this screen), this can lead to a terrible experience for users as chat reaction are like a minute delayed. Could we get a fix to this or maybe even a slider to manually change the offset in chat (10 seconds ahead or like 20 seconds behind). thanks !

This got me confused a couple times as I watch lots of VOD's, and one particular streamer who uses mobile internet and has frequent short timeouts, often ends up answering chat messages several minutes before they even get posted.
Here is an example: https://youtu.be/EgBqeRxxvm0
He reads "A banana, cmon" at 03:32:40 into the stream, but the chat message only appears at 03:34:06 -

Great idea, it really ****** me off that sometimes I have to wait to se the correct response of chat, since it is mostly funny. Having it dealyed is really painful, so I really hope this idea will get more votes in the future.

A streamer can have connection issues and can reconnect in a minute or so. This works on stream, but in VODs it causes an issue with the timing with chat and the VOD. This causes the chat to be delayed by the amount of time the connection was lost. This leaves chat's response to be delayed which becomes annoying if the disconnect was at the beginning of a nine hour stream. I believe a solution would be able to have the chat's playback separate from the VOD's playback. This allows the user to adjust the chat's response time in order to match up with what is going on with the VOD's playback. It's not a perfect solution, but I would appreciate it since I mainly watch VODs.
