Do not change the duration of streamer's disconnection duration in VoDs

Sometimes when I'm watching VoDs there's a part where the streamer disconnected, and a placeholder screen appears (the NotLikeThis screen, from what I informed). When the streamer reconnected in the VoD, the people in chat appears to still see the streamer as being disconnected, and seems to notice the streamer going back online a few minutes later. After that, the chat and the video is out of sync for the rest of the VoD, with chat reacting to events that happened several minutes ago in the video.

After browsing around and witnessing multiple streams from my favourite streamers, it turns out that the NotLikeThis screen duration is shorter than the actual duration of streamer's disconnection period, causing video and chat playback to be out of sync.

My suggestion is for for Twitch to not cut down the NotLikeThis duration; Make it reflect the full duration of the streamer's downtime, so it stays in sync with chat.

    And still a problem, definitely annoying to watch vods with delayed chat. Please fix this, I don’t have time to watch when my favorite streamer is on live

    How is this still a problem at this point twitch? just include the NotLikeThis screen in the VOD and it will probably fix the issue if you want a "easy" fix.

    How is this a post made over a year ago and this issue still persists making some stream vods simply unwatchable. ive been keeping tabs of this post for almost 6 months now hoping and praying anyone at twitch gives this issue any attention as it is literal childs play to fix yet it still exists. get ur act together twitch. Useless

    This might be a bump, but yes, VOD disconnection desync / chat delay is still happening recently. Chat would be delayed one or two minutes after the relevant part of the video happened, thus confusing the VOD viewers.

    Please fix this issue to improve the experience of the viewers; One of the solution would be by putting the full duration of 'NotLikeThis' temporary screen from the stream into the VODs.

    For those who have this issue on xqc's stream, you can use his vod website https://xqc.wtf/ to watch the vod, it has a chat delay feature that helps with this problem, you just have to enter the delay in seconds manually in the input area.
