Change/Add Categories of/to Clips
It would be nice if you could edit or add a Category to existing Clips on Twitch.
Example No. 1: A lot of my clips on my channel had their category removed, after the game category "Deponia: The Complete Journey" got removed from Twitch. If it would be possible to edit categories on clips, these clips wont be categoryless anymore.
Example No. 2: Imagine a VOD, where someone plays two games. Lets call them "GAMEONE" and "GAMETWO" for orientation. If the VOD is live and a clip is created, it get the category of the game which is currently live. But if the VOD isnt live anymore, and a clip gets created, the category will ALWAYS be GAMEONE, regarding if the category has changed when the streamer was live. So there it would also make sense to change the game category on clips as well.

Love being able to clip and use it to generate quick content. However, I am a variety streamer. I am very careful to change my game I'm playing when switching over. But when I make a clip from that same VOD where I played two different games, it only shows as me 'playing' the first game I started on stream.
Would love to categorize clips appropriately and be able to change the 'playing game' after the clip is made if I play multiple different games on stream.
Just as you all want us to categorize our live streams appropriately, clips shouldn't be any different. Please enable this feature to clips for appropriate categorization needs. Thank you.

There's so many of my clips that say the wrong game, man.
Please just let it be an OPTION. -

VOD will be the first Category used when stream went live.
All clips created after stream will be the VOD's Category
As a streamer, a current workaround is to change the Category of the VOD before making a clip. You can even set the Category to one that wasn't used during stream and clip.
I agree that if the streamer is making their own clip, they should be able to set the Category instead of doing the workaround I mentioned. -

Seriously? We're STILL HERE?

Why is this STILL not an option?!

When creating clips after a stream as ended from a vod, if there was more than one game played, the game set for the clip is ALWAYS the first game. This should be pulled from the "Chapter". I don't know how many clips I've made with the wrong game listed. And I can't edit that after the clip has been published.
ADD THIS YESTERDAY TWITCH!

So I've noticed recently that when I start my stream with 'Just Chatting' to hang out with my community for an hour or so, the rest of my clips, even though I'm no longer streaming on Just Chatting and have physically set my game to something else, will stay at Just Chatting. I think we should either be able to set our game, or clips should update in real time with the rest of the game settings for discoverability purposes!

It would be amazing if we could change the Category of the clip we're creating, because we sometimes do change it on stream but it doesn't match what the clips are showing
The only post I've seen about this, is this one https://twitch.uservoice.com/forums/923368-video-features/suggestions/19823908-allow-us-to-set-the-game-of-the-clipDATED JULY 2017, c'mon. I guess we're not asking too much

This was posted over 3 years ago, I am surprised that this is still a problem. This seems like an easy fix that would really help us.

One way is to edit the vod category, then clip, the category you chose will show up on the clip.

Currently, clips taken live use the current game, but clips taken from VODs use the game from the start of the stream. Changing the game of the clip would be excellent.

I third this notion.

It seems to me that it always uses the first game in the stream, same as the VOD. I can understand why a VOD would do that but a clip should use the CURRENT game. Seems obvious to me!

I would also like to see this applied - changing game-titles on clips for a variety streamer is very helpful. Would help others find their clips easier through search engines.

I second this notion.

We need to be able to change the game in the making of clips and of already made ones. Right now there is no way to change choice of game when making a clip. When making one it takes one game from the main video. So for me and all of the other streamers who play multiple games during one stream, it therefore will show the wrong game in the clips we make from our videos. It deceive our viewers, as well as severely decrease our chance of new people finding our clips.
