Reruns vs LIVE
Live vs Reruns
i think it should be made cleared when a chanel is on a rerun, it shouldn't say "LIVE"
A way that i think they could help new streamers, or lew viewercount streamers overall is to have two subcategories, Live and Reruns.
this would let streamers that are live have a chance to grow.
on the asmr category it's getting out of hands the amount of reruns, youtubecompilations and bots. and we can't do anything about it too. i've reported multiple channels but they are still there, even getting into front page. it's sad to see how the essence of t
witch is getting lost.
promoting reruns over live channels

Totally agree with this 100%. Question, does this actually count toward the 2000 benchmark to partner? I certainly hope not, because that would be lame.

I totally agree with this idea. They should seperate the channels who are really live and the other marked as pre recorded content. Running pre-recorded content 24/7 as live shouldnt be allowed and it is unfair towards to the smaller streaming channels.

thank you all so much for the support.. i hope twitch gives this the time it needs... but sadly the problem has evolved into something far worst... live channels with pre-recorded content.. often stolen intellectual property from other sites. if twitch doesn't care then it's obvious that their mission, vision and values as a company has change and no longer think for what's best for content creators or their communities

1 year later and ASMR category is still in a huge need of reorganization, there are sooo many reruns, it's really hard to find LIVE stream. Should add at least a filter so you can look only for LIVE. Please Twitch help that category!

Totally agree, I have viewers popping by and talking to noone before they realize its a rerun and even the odd host or raid which I would prefer going to an actual live channel.

allow us to have a custom frame/border/overlay for Re-runs so that it's COMPLETLY OBVIOUS that the channel isn't live
-

Have a special border or a larger indication of when a video is a rerun; also have a message pop up in chat when someone goes to chat in a rerun

I'm noticing this is still going on with some ASMR streamers. I came across one last week and have kept an eye on it to see when they'd change the same rerun video marked as live. It's kind of obvious without clicking at this point due to the costume being worn. The stream is marked as live and then once you're in there that's when there's a small note in the corner on the stream itself that it is indeed a rerun.

Even though some ASMR channels that I like are rerunning as live, I agree that it has to be named correctly as live or rerun

I agree.ASMR channles need to be Live only.

I agree! These channels are not live - they need to be stopped.

LIVE channels should only be able to be titled LIVE if they are actually LIVE. Pre-recorded material should not be allowed to be labeled as LIVE.

"Twitch is the world's leading live streaming platform". LIVE STREAMING. People who use pre-recorded videos as live videos are scamming the viewers and ruining the platform. As a viewer who's been around for more than 6 years, I expect some sort of action from Twitch to fight this.

Those channels doing reruns as a live should be shut down.

I agree. All these recorded streams being labeled as live is getting annoying. Makes me just want to go watch Youtube videos instead.

I agree, Live should mean Live.
These bots need to be removed.
Suspending all further monetary transactions with twitch until this is resolved. -

I seems to be super juicy to run your pre-recorded footage as LIVE and grow with a speed light on Twitch and other platforms. I am a streamer, and I have a YouTube footage that I can run "LIVE", but I just choose not to.
I hope Twitch will hear us.
Streamers who do that just show how they really "care" about the community. -

I agree with having a different area for the pre-recorded stuff outside of the "live streams" area.
I have no issue with reruns, but currently it's not very clear when the content is pre-recorded vs actually live. -

I like prerecorded streams, but it needs to be made clear that it's a rerun and not LIVE. There is a difference between Live and Rerun. Live is always better, but it needs to be more clear that it is a rerun.
