Please make prerecorded/reruns against TOS! They go against the purpose of live streaming, which is that it's LIVE.

It's infuriatingly obvious that OF sellers are just view-botting the same recording over and over. Their goal is to rank high and be discovered by a wider audience. It totally detracts from the Twitch experience (and they could care less).

It is insulting to streamers who put real effort into their content.

If a user wants to re-watch a stream, there are VODs. At least with VODs (and the old re-run feature), you can see the chat in real time.
With prerecorded videos you can't see the chat as the streamer interacts. The live chat is almost always empty because most viewers are bots (all several thousand of them).

Not only do prerecorded videos not benefit the platform, they arguably detract from the "Live"streaming experience for its users. Maybe the metrics look good because of all the ad watch time the bots give, but the brands that are paying to run ads to bots might beg to differ.

These streamers are lazy, entitled, and selfish.
They are lazy: because their recorded streams are usually low effort, and despite that they still don't stream live.
They are entitled: by taking up space with non-interactive content to promote their own websites.
They are selfish: because they don't care about the effects their greed will have on Twitch's awesome community.

Perhaps a blanket ban on prerecorded/reruns would need exceptions. However, we should at least be able to report channels as described above to get them removed faster.

I don't have any issues with "Just Chatting", "ASMR", E-girls, nudity, etc... It's the non-live streams that I really think ruin the experience. If we wanted to watch a prerecorded video we would be on YouTube.
A large part of Twitch is becoming a funnel for young people to discover adult content. This is bad for Twitch, it's users, and society. Banning these reruns would have a large impact on this aspect because many creators are only doing it because it takes zero effort currently.

I apologize for my rant. I've had this all bottled up for years now, lmao.

EDIT: oh yah.... If Twitch decides to explicitly allow this type of rerun, it should be given a tag so it can be filtered out. Users who mislabel their reruns as live should be banned.
