start featured broadcasters muted on Pulse or any home page
I get that these broadcasters are featured and lots of people are watching them, but if they are going to show up on the home page, the volume should be muted.
Or, leave it paused, or remove it.

Or racist words like n***** blaring out of my speakers for my children to hear due to dj's song choices and autoplaying the featured list that I have no control of.

Please I literally typed in twitch.tv like normal and within 3 seconds of opening the tab the featured video spoiled the entire season of The Walking Dead. I have never even watched a single thing relating to the show on twitch but now it's ruined for me because some silly idea to host interviews about popular TV shows.

I also find this very annoying. Let me mute the featured broadcaster section by default. I'll still be able to see it. If I see something interesting, I'll turn the sound back on.
Twitch is trying to force people to check out more broadcasters, but they're actually just making Twitch less enjoyable.
