   Ist es wirklich euer Ernst 8-10, mindestens 20 sekündliche, non skipable Werbeanzeigen vor jedem Stream abzuspielen. Das sind weit über 2 Minuten Werbung am Stück. Da wundert ihr euch noch das sich jeder zweite einen Adblocker holt. Ihr wart doch früher nicht so gierig. Quetscht wirklich den Zuschauer bis zum letzten aus. Macht so weiter und eure Zahlen gehen noch weiter in den Keller.

2. Give Creators More Options for Ad Frequency

   The games I play and my content style does not lend itself well to ads every hour. And, to be frank, 3 minutes isn't a long enough time for me to actually have a proper break and get the things I need to get done done during my breaks.

   I would greatly appreciate being able to run longer ad breaks less frequently to better work within the shape of my content.

   Specifically, I think the addition of options for 4.5 minutes of ads every hour and a half and 6 minutes every 2 hours would be very helpful so that creators whose stream shapes don't work within a structure of 'ads every 30' or 'ads every 60' can still utilize the ad manager without feeling like they have to tailor their broadcast around their ads which is an awful feeling as a creator.

4. be able to rewind after ad or pause stream during ad!

   I am really sick of how twitch doesn't care about it's viewers. Every time i visit a channel and watch a streamer for a while then post a question in chat, every single time a 3 minute ad then immediately begins. there is no way to go back in time to see if streamer answers the question. the really disrespectful situation that often occurs is when you donate bits with a message or donate to the streamer and a 3 minute ad starts. on youtube we can scroll back on a live stream to catch what we miss and we can even set it to 2x speed to catch back up to live stream or just skip back ahead once we caught the thing we missed.

   Twitch is literally worst then even cable TV. Back when i used to watch cable tv i was so sick of seeing same ads play over and over again with no way to skip or fast forward, however you at least didn't miss your show, the show paused when ad plays and resumes after ad, not Twitch! Twitch forces you to miss 3 minutes of content, not only that but potentially interactable content with you that you now missed. And with a 3 minute ad playing every 10-15 minutes on most streams, it's unwatchable!!

   Why does youtube have option to go back in time but not twitch? I know some streamers have option of seeing VOD while stream is still going, but most streamers turn this off, likely due to the incredibly strict copyright issues with Twitch now and they don't want to have their channel taken down because they walked past a store playing music on the street, so this isn't even an option anymore.

   Turbo is simply too costly, i refuse to pay same amount as a netflix or youtube or amazon subscription for something that does nothing but let us not see ads, and it's not even guaranteed, you can still get ads, and not only that it makes you feel guilty going on a stream with turbo interacting with a streamer knowing streamer can see you are spending money to twitch but not subbing to them too, so it makes you feel like your not contributing to the streamer, but i can't keep paying $5 a month to every content creator i follow, that ends up hundreds a month, it's absolutely absurd and far more costly then any other platform, even more costly then cable tv, and twitch takes half of all money earned!!!

   I understand ads are required to maintain the platform, i totally get that, if you don't want to sub to each individual creator you follow or pay for turbo, you will have ads, that's not what I am complaining about here, I am complaining due to no ability to pause the stream and resume after the ad, no option to go back in time to see what you missed, that's my problem here.

   I always go to youtube over twitch even if I am subbed on twitch! Because youtube is so much more convenient in way i can pause, rewind, etc.

   So tell me Twitch, are you proud your worst then cable television when it comes to inconveniencing your customers? Why should we watch content on twitch if we completely miss huge 3 minute chunks of content with no way to go back?

5. Reduce the Number and Length of Ads

   If I see the number of Ads be 4 or more in a row on any stream, REGARDLESS of how long they are, I am closing the app.

   If I am waiting more than 3-5 mins for ads to complete, I will also close the app.

   I know Twitch needs its money to run and be profitable, but several ads running 10+ minutes is not it. People will not sit through it. They will just leave.

   Find a way to balance the number of ads and time spent watching them, so people will engage the site for longer. Break up ads more. If Ads are ran, wait for 20 to 30 mins before running them again. You want people to stay on the site right?

   Our time is valuable, and we can find other sites to watch what we want. If you want viewers on Twitch, the ad amount and durations need to be reduced site wide. More people on the site should bring Twitch more engagement and money.

7. Stop front loading ads! It isn't worth sitting through the ads when just checking out a new streamer

   Why when I want to check out a new stream or something interesting I see on the front page, am I greeted with at least 30sec of ads if not more. This generally makes me just close the window or go to a different channel. This is very counterintuitive to growth of really any streamer. I know I can't be the only one out there who does this as well.

8. Can The Ads Properly Balance their Audio

   The Doordash (AU) Ad and Colgate gate Ads start off (and remain) so loud it actual hurts my ears and I have mute it. I don't mind it running, but does it have to be THAT Loud. (It's not just in comparison to 1 quiet stream, it's loud compared to every stream I watch)

10. Exclude the editor role from being shown midroll ads

    Pretty simple idea. Anyone with the editor role in your channel is probably doing a lot of good work for the broadcaster, more likely than not, free of charge for the vast majority of users. Someone who is contributing to the stream shouldn't be forced to financially support the stream to be able to view the content they are potentially going to be editing later, or responding live to assist with running the stream. The should not need to subscribe.

    Partners do get the ability to hand out very limited lifelong sub slots, but that doesn't really cover this purpose, and you can't reassign them if people leave to do other things.

11. Audio Ads

    I like the idea of audio ads because i can still watch the streamer gaming or doing whatever, but they seriously need to be turned down. It says that Audio Ads will match the volume of the stream. That is entirely false. Every time i have gotten an Audio Ad it is significantly louder than the stream volume i have the stream I'm watching set to. Love the Idea, but they need to actually match the stream volume in order for me to be 100% on board with the idea.

12. Disable preroll ads in event of stream crash or restart

    This should be self-explanatory.
    While I know pre-roll ads can be necessary, however they can be slightly annoying in the event of a streamer's stream crashing due to technical issues and needs to be restarted.
    Crashes happen, and our viewers shouldn't have to watch another set of pre-roll ads if we come back within 5-10 minutes after the crash.
    Sometimes these are technical issues beyond our control, other times it's just ending the stream just to fix ONE setting that takes less than a minute to fix.

    If the stream comes down for one reason or another, and the streamer returns within a timely manner, the preroll ads should be disabled for a certain amount of time.

    This should be self-explanatory.

13. skipping ads bug

    I noticed on darthmicrotransaction's live stream that I can skip the ads by pressing the ""resubscribe"" button, the commercial ended immediately and I went right back to the live stream. I dont know if this is a bug or not, but I choose to be honest about this.

14. Allow the option in Dashboard to make it so VIPs and Mods dont get ads.

    Allowing the option on your Streamer Dashboard Manager and change it so VIPs and Mods don't get ads would help them be able to manage and moderate the chat and communicating with the streamer with issues in chat better.

    As a moderator for multiple channels on Twitch, I've encountered challenges in effectively managing streams while also dealing with ads. Many moderators, like myself, contribute their time and effort to support streamers without financial compensation. However, the current ad experience can disrupt our ability to efficiently moderate chats, respond to viewer inquiries, and tackle issues such as hate raids promptly.

    Therefore, I propose the implementation of a Moderator Ad Exemption System, which would allow streamers to designate certain moderators to be exempt from ads during their streams. Here's how it could work:

    • Initial Exemption: Each streamer would receive one initial exemption for a moderator on the first day of streaming, regardless of follower count. This ensures that even small streamers with few followers can benefit from ad-free moderation assistance.

    • Scaling Exemptions: Streamers would earn additional exemptions based on their follower count. For every 1000 followers, the streamer would receive one extra exemption for their moderators. This scaling system recognizes the increasing demand for moderation assistance as a streamer's audience grows.

    • Designated Moderators: Streamers would have the flexibility to choose which moderators receive ad exemptions, allowing them to prioritize active and trusted members of their moderation team.

    Benefits:

    • Improved Moderation Efficiency: Ad-free moderation would enable moderators to focus more effectively on managing chats, addressing viewer concerns, and combating malicious activities like hate raids.

    • Support for Streamer-Moderator Relationships: Recognizing moderators' contributions by providing ad exemptions fosters stronger partnerships between streamers and their moderation teams.

    • Scalable Solution: The scaling nature of exemptions ensures that the system remains equitable and adaptable to the varying needs of streamers at different stages of their streaming journey.

    Many moderators, including myself, face financial constraints that prevent us from subscribing to the channels we moderate. Living paycheck to paycheck, it's often difficult to allocate funds for subscriptions, especially when moderating multiple channels.     This reliance on gifted subscriptions can be unreliable and unpredictable, leaving moderators uncertain about their ad-free viewing experience and potentially hindering their ability to effectively moderate chats. The proposed Moderator Ad Exemption System would provide a more consistent and dependable solution for moderators to access ad-free viewing while fulfilling their crucial role in supporting streamers and maintaining positive community environments.

17. Variation of the Advertisements

    Right now i am getting one and the same Ad sometimes 3 times in a row in the same Ad-roll, and most of the time during the next Ad-roll as well. Although Ad's are to support your streamer, spamming the same Ad 3 times in a +3 minute Ad-roll is getting very very annoying.
    Is it possible to make some sort of algorhythm (or improve that one) so you won't see the same Ad every Ad-roll, or like +/-6 times every hour? More variety would make the ad'sperience more natural.

18. Predictable Ads - Best solution for both sides?

    I very often get ads in the middle of an intense situation or an interesting conversation. This is very frustrating and in the last weeks, I just turn off Twitch because unpredictable ads in the middle of the stream just don't work in a live stream for me.

    If there are no ways to reduce the ads mid-stream, maybe give the viewers more control when the ad is played.

    So for example let's say there has to be X ads in 30 min, just give the viewer the option to start the ads at a given time.

    Maybe something like: There a X ads due in the next Y mins, you can start the ads now or the ads will be force played in Y minutes.

    This means I can start the ads while the streamer is in the menue or does something not so interesting for me.

    Next step would be that I'm also able to pause an ad if there is suddenly someting interesting happening.

20. Yearly Turbo sub at $9.99/mo

    On the positive side, Turbo subscription is a great idea. Especially now that you have so many "always on" channels. However, $15.99 is just too much. Lower this to $9.99/mo, maybe with a yearly contract and you'd have me signing up.
