1. Allow people to use USB keyboards with smart TVS to chat in addition to mobile phones.

   I own a device called a Rii mini keyboard, and I want to use that to chat on Twitch through my smart TV, in addition to my phone. My phone's keyboard isn't intuitive enough for me to have maximum control over keystrokes, and I would like the 2nd option I mentioned above to become available.

3. Twitch integrated on projectors

   I thought of this while I was slicing up a ribeye roast to store for later. I wanted to watch a twitch stream on my projector, I was going to set it up with casting but it was to far from my PC.

   Twitch should start adding there app onto projectors. My new on Auking is great, it auto focuses, bright in light. Has netflix/youtube integrated. I thought it would be a good idea to get twitch integrated with these projectors. It would be advertisement, even if people never watched twitch, its a free app that you don't have to log in to. I bet most people who purchase a projector will give that a try.

4. 2024 Samsung Smart Tv

   Hi,
   I would like to report a problem with the Twitch app on my Samsung Smart TV DU8070 (running Tizen OS).

   Live streams freeze after about 20 minutes of watching.
   I've been using the app for 2 months and have been experiencing the same issue consistently. The problem temporarily resolves when I exit the live stream and re-enter it, but then the stream freezes again after about 20 minutes (however, when the stream freezes, the chat continues to work).

   What I've tried to solve the problem (but didn't help):
   - clearing the cache
   - uninstalling and reinstalling the app

   I'm using the latest version of the app as of today (I re-installed it just today).

6. Settings to Revert to Normal Twitch Layout

   I got my twitch layout messed up and there's no settings in my twitch account and/or dashboard to revert the twitch layout back to normal. This only happened for the twitch website.

7. Twitch app not respecting picture settings on Sony Bravia Android TV

   I'd really like to use Twitch's Android TV app on my Sony Bravia TV (VH21) but there seems to be a problem with the picture quality. None of the picture settings affect the app, for example, nothing happens when I toggle between the local dimming settings. On a LCD TV, this particular setting is perhaps the most important for good picture quality. Older versions of the app were not affected by this bug. As a consequence the picture in Twitch ends up looking rather mediocre. Every other app works fine.

   Please fix ASAP.

8. several streams just stop after a few seconds...

   With xiaomi TV stick Twitch keeps getting paused after several seconds, and can’t be played anymore, reloading will resulting the same result, stream will paused after several seconds

   Note: there’s no issue with my internet because on my laptop or on my phone it’s running normally

   Repro step:

   Open a twitch stream (e.g: esport2tv)
   Wait several seconds
   The stream paused, and can’t be played anymore
   Expected result: stream should continue normally

9. Appletv

   The new update - March 3 2023 - has so many downgrades! There are some issues that I was hoping to be addressed, but instead we got more problems.

   1) Not being able not see more than the top 25 Live Followed Channels is a big problem. There are a lot of new and growing streamers I follow, support and moderate that are getting zero visibility with this new update.

   2) Not being able to chat from the tv, and instead being sent to a QR code that connects to the mobile app stops the ability of people participating directly from their tv. I multiscreen watch lots of streamers at the same time, and this stops me from contributing to the one on the tv now, which is unfair.

   3) The chat has become harder to read. The font is smaller and not as legible. ALSO, most chatters names now show up as just white, which makes following the chat much harder than it was in the past.

   4) When someone donates bits, it shows up half the time as the emote and half the time as the lettered bit emote name (no emote image), which is silly.

   5) We still can’t follow a raid, which was taken away during the last update, which is counterproductive to growing twitch and other channels. I figured that would be changed in the update, but it’s still gone.

   6) The lack of animated emotes in the chat bar should have been addressed after all this time as well, but the chat visibility and functionality on the appletv app has slipped even farther behind as opposed to ahead to reflect the growth twitch has been making.

   I’m sure there are other glitches I just haven’t come upon yet, but I’m sure I’m not alone with these complaints and suggestions.

10. Bug: Live Followed Channels Does Not Show All Live Followed Channels

    Expected Behavior:

    Home > Live Followed Channels should include....uhhh, all of the channels that I follow that are live.

    Actual Behavior:

    Home > Live Followed Channels shows me a random set of the channels that I follow that are live. What channels are shown is almost inversely proportional to how often I watch said channels. The count of the channels shown in this section is also random. Sometimes 7, sometimes 4, just all over the place.

    In order to actually see "Live followed channels", I have to navigate to "Following" > "Live Followed Channels". Not only is this an extra step (that can be super laggy if the internet is being slow, since you're forcibly preloading every g*dd*mn stream I focus the selector on in the background), but makes no sense. As a section header, "Live Followed Channels" is unequivocal in what it describes. If there is some qualifer being placed on this header when on the Home tab, the Home tab should either call that out with a different header title, or the Home tab needs to be renamed to something more indicative that the feed is being built by some terrible algorithm or whatever is happening.

    I am being charitable by assuming this is unintended behavior. If it is not, I would kindly, but firmly suggest, you get out of my way in viewing content so I can actually watch streamers I pay for (and hence you for) or watching ads for content (which you also get paid for).

11. AppleTV App Video and Audio stutters and lags

    New App video buffers and audio lags on wifi. Sometimes it lags on ethernet, wired connection. I am using a Apple TV 4K (1st generation). I am on the current tvOS which is 17.5.1. Never had this problem until now.

12. Live followed channels does not appear on left side panel.

    In the past it has been super nice and convenient to switch which of my followers I am watching as they go live, switch games, etc.
    Since stories have been pushed more, the list of streamers I follow has completely disappeared. Replaced by an "Open Stories" option alone. This is on a firefox browser. I don't care about the inferior algorithmically generated "Recommended channel" option either. The recommendations are always awful there.

13. Latency

    Native TV apps on TV sadly don't have low-latency (LG, Samsung, Sony f.e.). The purpose for Twitch is to talk/play/react directly to the livestream,but it's impossible. The time between livestream and reaction usually is up to 10 seconds plus the time you need to answer. This creates a time window where the community is out of sync which leads to chaos, so it's sadly not enjoyable to watch Twitch over TV.

    This also creates a cycle of spending even more energy than usually needed - smartphone + TV vs. PC + TV. That's an additional 180-300W just for talking and reacting with the community in a pleasant form.

    Solution: enable low-latency mode for TV apps.

    Tested on Samsung JS8090, LG OLED CX, LG OLED G4

14. tvOS 17.6 Twitch App Problems

    Updated my AppleTV yesterday and I am still experiencing audio lags and studdering on wifi and ethernet. One of the streamers I watch I can only watch them with the chat on the side open not in full screen mode. If I close the chat then full screen mode is in slow mode.

17. Bug - Oh bummer… an error occurred while playing this content

    Can log into the application on the TV, can see previews of what is happening on the stream, but when I go to watch it it gives me the “Bug - Oh bummer… an error occurred while playing this content” message. It just started happening today. I have not done any new updates, haven’t changed wifi, didn’t disconnect wifi at all when it started happening. I was watching a stream and just went into another one and this pops up no matter what I do.

    I have tried shutting off my tv and unplugging it for an extended period. I have disconnected from wifi and reconnected. I have cleared the cache from the app as well as run a diagnostics on the TV. I uninstalled and reinstalled. I checked permissions on my TV. I signed out and signed back into twitch. What else can I even do?

    Can log into the application on the TV, can see previews of what is happening on the stream, but when I go to watch it it gives me the “Bug - Oh bummer… an error occurred while playing this content” message. It just started happening today. I have not done any new updates, haven’t changed wifi, didn’t disconnect wifi at all when it started happening. 18. If you show a partial list of live streamers in carousels, indicate that there are more streamers currently live and offer a link.

    On the latest version of the Apple TV Twitch app, the main carousel currently only shows a limited number of live streamers, but gives no indication if there are other streamers currently live. You have to navigate to a different tab to see all live streams from streamers you currently follow.

    Either show all live streamers in the main carousel or indicate that you are not showing all currently live streams and offer a link to see all live streams for streamers I follow.

    Better yet, provide a multi-row grid, so I don't have to scroll far to the left or right because I happen to follow a lot of streamers.

19. Allow Raid on LG TV

    When I’m watching a streamer on my LG TV and they raid someone it doesn’t automatically work the way it does on my iPad. Not sure if there is a way to do it manually but it would be nice if it worked as seamlessly as on my iPad.

20. Twitch app for Echo devices

    It was very popular in recent years and I would like to propose other people's idea again. In Echo devices (those with Alexa integrated), especially the Echo show category, they have had the peculiarity of having video streaming applications with them. For example Prime Video and Netflix, given that Twitch is "acquired" by Amazon, the Twitch application for Echo show devices would also be useful. Or at least make it possible to access via the site since Amazon silk (browser within Echo show devices) is not among the browsers supported by Twitch. I ask for an opinion on this as it has been requested for a long time
